My first FET - Transfer In Early August

I'm really starting to get excited because we are FINALLY ready to do a FET. We were successful with IVF, but lost our little Pokey. That's been over a year now and we are finally ready to try again. We have 3 frosties and will be thawing/transferring them all if they make it through the process. I'm so excited and very nervous. I will be on BCPs for 3 weeks, then Lupron and Estrogen for 3 weeks. Is this normal protocol?

I have my meeting with the RE on the 22nd. What questions do you think I should ask? I know so much about IVF, so I think I'm prepared for the FET, but they are different proceedures. Any advice/questions/suggestions you can offer would be fabulous! TIA!

Rebecca- I am glad to see you will be doing your FET in Aug. I will be for success for you! I don't know alot about the FET procedure, but your protocol sounds like what I will (hopefully) be doing in Sept. As far as questions I would ask them what their thaw rate is, what you can expect for your embies. I am excited for you and hope it goes VERY well!

Good Luck in August! FET is a lot easier than IVF. My protocol consisted of Estrace and Progestrone. I didn't even have to take BCP (which I'm glad of, cuz those hormones mess me up!) It's been really easy. The pregger symptoms I have now are much more hard than the FET was. I don't have any questions for you to ask, but Good Luck!

Rebecca, Its so great to see you again. We are thinking of doing an FET in Aug too. maybe we can be cycle buddies.

I spoke with my re yesterday, and am excited, but already scared of failure. these processes are just so hard. Even after a sucessful cylce, Im totally mortified. But so so hopeful too. I know I dont have to explain. I know we all go through the same kinds of crazy emotions.

I started my BCPs today as well! My transfer is tentatively scheduled for August 8th. I'm excited but cautious. I will feel much better once I know my babies survived the thaw.

How many are you transferring? We have 3 left and will transfer them all. I want multiples, so no problem there.

Good luck and stay in touch. I mostly post over in the July thread since I'm doing all the ground work in July. Transfer is the easy part!

Hello Girls!
This is my first ever post! I have been reading this fourm for what seems like forever, and yet I am still here waiting for all of this to work out. What a long, difficult journey it has been...
We are getting ready to do a FET this summer too, I am just not sure when exactly, if it would be late July or early August... so I thought I would just jump it..
I have been on BCP for a few days and just got all my meds - which are different from the fresh cycle stuff.... just more stuff to learn about, I guess.
I go in on the 6th to see if all is ok to start Lupron..

FET Early August

Ms.Fitzy,

I am doing an FET early Aug, well around the 10th I think. Once AF shows next week I will know more. I look forward to sharing the journey with you all.

We are only putting in 1. After my first pregnancy, my job, and a 1 yr old DD, I know I can't handle twins. So I am hoping it's the right decision.

Pier

I start Lupron on the 7th. It's just another way for them to suppress your ovaries so that they can manipulate your body the way they want it.

I got my calendar in the mail. Timing really could't have been any more perfect. Transfer will either be Friday, Saturday or Sunday and I don't start my real job (work for a school) until the next Thursday. So I will have from 3-5 days of bed rest without any loss in money .

Good luck to all of you! Can't wait to get this party started!

Hello, I wanted to see if I can join in with you guys.. We just received a call from our RE that we have donor embryos available for us and the procedure will be done in August as my RE is out on medical leave for a month. This is a very exciting and nervous time as the last time our embies didn't survive the thaw. The RE office called about 30-45 minutes before we were scheduled to go in... I never really understood why they waited so long. The only information we know for the next FET is they are good quality embryos, and the mother had a successful pregnancy which resulted in twins from IVF. The RE office gives limited information.
I wish each of you success in your upcoming FET!!!
