ZMomma - Congrats!!! Yeah!!!

I also had spotting several times for the first several weeks I was pregnant. Worried me to no end, but everything turned out fine and there were no problem. Laster on in my pregnancy I even had red blood flow, not spotting, but an actual flow. Turned out one of my capillaries on my uterus had burst.

So, AF finally arrived! Put my estrogen patches on today and start my acupuncture on Monday. So glad to finally get this started.

Thank You all!

Hello ladies,
I wanted to make a correction on my beta number 124 not 120. I just saw my infert. sp and she said all things were great and thank God she d/c my pio shot. she ran another Hcg so that my numbers coincide with her labs and also a p4 so we will draw another one on the 15th and then ultra sound either the 25 or 28 can't remember the date. she also wants me to take temp three times daily.

Congrats Z!! That's a great beta!

Wanna --I started delestrogen shots on cycle day 2 and have been taking it twice per week. I had an extra "booster" shot of it at my lining check just before I started adding the PIO.

Today I feel bloated and had some cramps off and on. Really feel like I'm about to start AF. Getting a bit nervous as getting closer to beta

Hello Ladies,

I have a quick question, I am new to the Lupron stuff .. I have been having alot of cramps lately and not sure if it is from the shots or not. AF was that week thats when I usually get the cramps bad, I dont know if this is usual. I go to the doctors next week, if they dont go away hoefully they can answer my question.

Anyone have these pains with their Lupron shots?

hope everyone is doing well, best wishes to all

Hi Ladies!

Julianne--Glad you are doing well. Thank you for the well wishes. The PIO shots are not too bad. I think DH like giving it to me. He said this evening, time to get the shot, babe! I'm too chicken to do in the thigh. RE nurse said pio IM injection can be done in the buttocks or the thigh. I forgot there's a needle to draw and a needle for the injection. Yesterday, when I opened the needle package saw that fat needle, I freaked! I had to call the nurse. I forgot I had the smaller needles to change for the injection. It's been a while since we had the injection consultation. I see you are coming up soon too! This is so exciting!!!

Z-momma- Congratulations on your beta!!! I know you are so excited. Take one day at a time. You must be on cloud 9!

To bring everyone up to date, I'm doing FET egg donor so the ET process is a little different. I didn't have my own eggs to freeze from last IVF cycle and we decided to do this process. DH went in this morning to give sperm and embies were being thawed sometime today. I will receive a call tomorrow to find out if I am doing a 3 or 5 day ET, which will be June 14th or 16th. They will give a status update. There are 8 embies being thawed and I plan to transfer 2 or 3. It all depends on how well they are doing. I'm praying this works for us. We are trying to take all in stride.

Leigh

LV,
I had horrible pains with my Lupron, I /we think it was my endo responding to it. Apparently, Lupron can stimulate you before it suppresses you. So, for those with endo, stimulation of an already bad situation sucks. It will get better, I promise!

Way to go Z, what a great Beta, maybe multiples?!!!!!!!!!!

AFM, started my p10 last night, doxy, medrol, continuing on estrace and thryroid meds. Getting closer to Tuesday, only have one embie left. Its out of our control, hope its in the plan for us.

Midum,
Maybe implantation,,how far post transfer are you?

Take care Ladies

Leigh,
Just curious, why does you hubby need to give a sample when the embies are already made and are being thawed? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am just curious how that works? Take care and we are next...Lynn

z_momma!!! CONGRATULATIONS on your official Beta numbers!! Keep us updated on the doubling. I am so excited for you!!! Can't wait to hear about your ultrasound too, so exciting! Also, why is she having you take your temp 3 times a day? What is she looking for?? Just curious! I take my temp every morning on waking and chart it.

Crislyn glad to hear AF arrived!! Have a great weekend and enjoy the acupuncture on Mon. I did that one cycle and found it sooooo relaxing.

wanna is AF officially here?? Hope so!

Lynn, I think Leigh is saying that the eggs are going to be defrosted (not embies) and then her DH will be adding his sample to the mix. Leigh good luck!!!!!!! Please keep us posted!! I hope you have many lovely embies to choose from.

Midum I feel like early pregnancy symptoms mimic AF so don't worry! You are definitely not out of the game. I hope you have a sticky weekend Best of luck on Monday!!!!

Does anyone know - will we ovulate on an FET cycle? I am curious!!

Well DH, my girl, and I are headed down to Philly for a mini family vacation tomorrow through Monday. I am so excited and it should make the time fly! We have lot of family-friendly activities planned and two different couples down there we haven't see in quite some time, so it should be a blast. Hopefully I'll check back in on Monday night. Hoping to see a nice BFP from Midum, and a nice high beta from z!!!

Melissa--I have never had cramps or pain from Lupron shots, they just make me very crabby and I have severe mood swings. If you are having pain or cramps might be a good idea to question your RE or Nurse coordinator since you still have a while of being on them. Have you gotten to the point of decreasing your dose yet? If so has that helped alivetate the symtoms at all?

Leigh--That's funny, I oddly think my husband enjoys giving me the big fat shots too, especially after I have had a "crabby day". I had a close friend that used donor eggs, first time she used a surrogate because of many failed IVF attempts (thought she would have better odds putting them in a "sure thing" rather then herself, they put in 2 in her surrogat and had a DS. Happy with the one she decided when DS was 3 months that she did not want to pay storage on the remaining 2 embroys she had from the donor but did not want to destroy so she figured she would put them in and be done with the process, never worked in the past so why would it now. She had no hope because of 4 prior failed IVF's and suprise--got twin DS born shortly after he first son's birthday. Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor.... I wish you success this time around. Technology is amazing, hopefully it works this time for you....

Polarbaby--your getting close. Hope Tuesdays comes quick for you and the 2ww even faster

midum--with my first daughter I had the worst cramps and odd pains a few days before BETA testing. I was so sure I was about to get AF that I took pain killers thinking it was cramps and that all had failied. WRONG--4 days later (on Father's Day) found out I was pregnant. At the time did not know that PIO relaxes the uterus and will rarely cause cramps unless if it is low or not stable, but implantating will cause cramps becuase that little nugget is trying to dig in deep. The reason you get cramps during a regular cycle is because progesterone is slowing down siginaling the lining to break down. With the shots you are aidng it not to sigina the breakdown. Hopefully that is a good sign for you. Although Bloating migth be from PIO shots. Since it does relax the uterus, it also relaxes other organs as well and has a tendency to slow the "pluming" down so to speak, whihc would in turn cause bloating. Oh the joys of fertilty medications )

Gina--Lurpon should supress ovulation and you should not ovulate if taking it. Have a great trip and enjoy yourself.

As for me, I went in for my US today and all looked very nice and fluffy. Endo measuring 9.5 and I still have 6 more days of growing to go. Since hopefully this might possibly be my last weekend till March that I am not pregnant and since the babies are on ice, I think I am going to do a few things I might not be able to do for a while. I am thinking Sushi tonight, Short-Shorts tomorrow (**** Chicago weather bettter warm up a bit), and tomorrow night make DH bring me out for a nice "Last Supper" where I can get a big fat steak and drink a ridicilous expensive glass of Red Wine (just enough to warm the blood, but not enough to linger till Thursday)

And on a speical note I would like to thank my fertitly clinc for closing up shop in the burbs and deciding to move into the city beause it is easier for the doctor to get to. I only live 15 miles from downtown, but to make a 6:30 am appointment (barely), I had to leave my house at 5:15 am. They should know best of all that hormonally induced sleep deprived women and rush hour traffic into a busy city is NOT a good combination..... And, if the clinc makes appointemtns for 6:30, the nurses and techs should be there at 6:30 or earlier, not 6:45---I can appreciate it is Friday but some people have to work, otherwise they would not be making appointments at some ungodly hour like 6:30 AM . Oh boy, thank God the angry Lupron shots are almost done..........

wanna that's great!! woohoo for AF & a tentative transfer date!!

Erica I'm actually not on Lupron, just Estrace - does that suppress O too? Enjoy your last non-preggers weekend!!!! And your rant about your RE cracked me up, though I'm sorry your morning was so frustrating!

ok for real now I'm signing off for the weekend

Wannabe - congrats on getting AF. I was so relieved yesterday to have it finally come myself. Looks like we will have our transfers right around the same date. I didnt find the IM shots to be that bad last. I think the trick is to try to put them in a slightly different place each time. The only time I was sore was when it was given in the exact spot I had already had it before.

On a funny note, my husband outright told me he enjoys giving me the shots! No speculation needed on my part... hee hee

Gina - thats a good question. I was wondering that myself since I am also not on anything put the estrogen patch..dont know the answer to that one. I always assumed I would ovulate this month.

I do wish everyone a wonderful weekend. Sending lots of peace to those of you in your TWW.

Gina--If you are only on Estrace and or an Estrogen medication only(such as a patch), yes there is a possibility of ovulation happening if you haven't been given anything to suppress the ovaries or to shut them down. I know that some RE's prescribe clomid along with estrace as an start to fertility treatments, clomid to aid with the ovulation and estrace to thin CM and make it more productive and to make lining thick. Estrace will not help you ovulate but it won't stop you from doing it either. A lot of FET's are done using Lupron, but not uncommon to be done without (ie. natural FET cycles use no medication or very little).
