Hi everyone! What a great group! I feel lots of positive vibes coming from us

z_momma & midum - It is exciting to have some early June transfers to follow! Can't wait to follow you both through this process!!

So how many will you all be putting back in? We'll be putting two in if all goes as planned - and very much hoping for a singleton!!! I would be so overwhelmed with multiples that I considered asking to only put one back in, but with the odds I figure I'll be ok ...

We have 3 frosties and will thaw all 3. Hopefully all 3 will survive the thaw and be able to be transferred. And I'm secretly hoping that all 3 will make it. It would kinda be like getting my 2 other babies back again, plus a 3rd for good measure! I've already started talking to my DH about the what ifs just in case. He's definately on board, but a little freaked about the possibility of 3. He said that WHEN we have our first u/s, he should probably be sitting down just in case! LOL.

I can't wait for Monday to hurry up already. I still have to wait until my next AF to start, but that's ok. I just want my game plan!

wannabemommy: thanks for keeping track of this! It's nice to be part of this supportive group of ladies. I'm looking forward to hearing about all your this round!

I too, am so afraid of multiples. I am tempted to transfer just one but the entire process takes so much time (mentally and physically) that I don't know how many I can handle. My first failed IVF was really tough. My RE recommends 2-3 for me. I think I'll probably transfer 2. I'm cautiously optimistic but not as excited as I was the first round.

Right now I'm just waiting for AF. Then, my RE will give me the go-ahead based on my day 2 bloodwork. My last protocol was Lupron and Follistim.

Gina - Thanks for the words of encouragement. I needed that right now. I just found out that my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are expecting and their baby is due a week before our's would have been. I wish I was a big enough person to be 100% thrilled for them.

Wanna - Thanks for keeping track of us. I just got my schedule and will be transferring on the 26th (still a June date, but just barely).

Hope everyone has a great month and an even better March 2010 when their little one is born!

Wanna -- thanks for keeping track of us! I just had my baseline u/s and bloodwork and am good to go. Just took my first delestrogen shot tonight. Still looking at transfer likely 6/5

We have 4 frozen blasts, and my RE suggests transferring 2. I am leaning towards 3, since my fresh IVF failed when we transferred 2. What do you all think?

z-momma -- i too have had a failed iui and 2 failed ivfs. i have great hopes for us this month. was wondering -- what is embryo glue?

well, we plan to transfer 2 , i have 4 five day blasts. they will first thaw 2, if both survive they'll transfer however if not they will thaw another 2. I am ing that in first thaw both will survive , we are gonna transfer 2 only and I dont want to loose any-they do not refreeze.

I have question - what is the good time for thawing before transfer? for me -they r gonna thaw 20 mins before transfer. when I asked why not thawing early, my RE said they want to put them in my uterus before they progress more.

MsFitzy good luck today! Let us know how your appointment goes.

MsSquishy I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one afraid of multiples!! I will keep everything crossed that we both end up with ONE sticky bean when all is said & done!

Wanna - I am planning the same, thawing and putting in two and very much hoping they survive the thaw!

Does anyone know the rates of surviving the thaw?

z_momma wow you are transferring 4!! That is amazing! I am keeping everything crossed for you!! Your transfer is soon - try to relax and enjoy this holiday weekend. Have a drink - hopefully it will be your last for 9 months

BlueIsis I know it can be so hard when others are expecting and you are trying so hard with no luck. I'm sorry. Hopefully you will get your BFP and then your little one will have a cousin close in age which will be wonderful! Also, my transfer isn't until 6/30 so I will be late June along with you

Midum you have some drinks this weekend too!!! Only another 2 weeks until your transfer too. So exciting!! Have you decided if you will do 2 or 3??

So what protocols are you all following??

I will be doing Estrogen (patches) in increasing dosages started in CD1. Then I will begin the progesterone (vaginally three times per day) I think a week or so before the transfer and with any luck, for the next 12 weeks

I think it is interesting how different the protocols can be. I've never been on Lupron - what is it??

MrsReady2bMama: Lupron works much the same way the initial birth control protocol does. It 'shuts down' the cycle. It reduces the level of estrogen in the body. It's administered by syringe so it's not very much fun as I hate needles! I agree with you it is interesting to read about variety of protocol options out there. This site is very educational!

So I'm scared to death right now. I haven't seen my RE in over a year now. I'm so worried about what he's going to say. I'm putting every last ounce of effort into this FET and what if none of my frosties survive the thaw? Or what if the same outcome as my IVF happens? It's very nerve wracking. My appointment isn't until 4:30 (CST) and I just wish this day would hurry up already. I'm a basket case!!

MsSquishy thanks for clarifying! That totally makes sense. For some reason I've never had to do the BCP or Lupron thing. My problem is more on the other side of things - ovulating late, not making enough progesterone, short luteal phase, etc... .

MsFitzy I'm thinking of you!! Good luck!! I hope the RE eases your worries.

As for me, my cousin is in labor today so I'm very excited!! She is like a sister to me so I am anxious for the little guy to get here

Wishing all of you ladies a relaxing Memorial Day weekend!! Enjoy it, because next year at this time we should all be dealing with infants

Smile Protocol

Hello everyone,

Well, AF showed herself today and I got my scheduled date June. ET is set for June 17th. I'm trying to be positive and have a peace of mind about this cycle and it is soooo hard.
BlueISIS- I know what you mean about friends and family members who are expecting. My longtime friend just had her 3rd child and she's the same age as me! Although I am happy for her, I can't help being envious of her. She started having her babies at 37, naturally!
My Fitzy- I'm praying for good news with your frosties and hope everything went okay with your appointment.

My RE want me to stay on Lupron until next Wednesday, decrease the dosage then will add oral estrace. I go for a lining check June 5th. I'm curious why RE would choose vaginal medications vs. injections. Hope everyone, have a wonderul long weekend. Looks like rain, rain, rain all weekend here in Atlanta.

Leigh
