embryo glue

Midum- it's suppose to be a sticky type of fluid supposedly we naturally produce this on our own at the implantation window only, so in essence it help the frostie's stick supposedly.

how is everyone? well we have a long weekend ahead so everyone just relax and take it easy and to all the ladies are due for transfers early in june like myself please relax and be calm.

Update- currently taking estrace x4, calcium, doxy x2, baby asprin,
prenatal 2qd, and vivelle patch 3qd until saturday it will increase to 4 patches daily from here until beta. estrogen priming this calendar. E2 and ultra sound 5-26 then i will receive a new calendar with the other set of meds; lovenox, prednisone (not sure of spelling), endometrin, progesterone oil, & maybe something
else i don't have my script in front of me.

Well my appointment went pretty well yesterday. I didn't have many questions but my doctor is such an amazing guy. He did for warn me that my frosties are only B quality, but that he's seen several B babies born before. He asked about my last m/c and decided that before we move forward with the FET, he wants to do 3 different blood tests: auto-immune, Embryo Toxicity Assay, and Natural Killer cell Activity Assay. He just wants to make sure that my body doesn't have something going on that is keeping me from sustaining a pregnancy. So that made me feel pretty good. I asked about when they thaw the embroys and he said a couple of hours before. We asked about what we would be refunded if they didn't survive the thaw. and it's about $2,000. But they said that it's only happened there about 5% of the time. So I'm hopeful.

Here's my protocol:

Doxycycline - 10 days
BCP - 21 days
Lupron - 27 days
E2 Patch - 29 days
PIO - 15 days

I will have 2 sonos to evaluate my lining and then my ET will be on day 20. Which puts it right at the end of July...a little earlier than I had hoped. But that's all depending on how my body reacts off of clomid. I might have a longer cycle because of being off of it.

Now I just have to stress over the money. That's going to be a hard one for me for sure.

MsFitzy -- so glad to hear your appointment went so well! I too had autoimmune testing and NK cells checked before this frozen cycle. I don't have those results yet, but we are just proceeding ahead with the fet protocol as of now.

z_momma -- thanks for the explanation!

MrsReady -- thanks for the well wishes! I hope you have a great long weekend! We are going to talk to our RE again at the next u/s check about transferring 3.

My protocol is pretty simple: BCPs for 2 weeks (just to delay the transfer until June when I am less busy), delestrogen shots twice per week, then doxy for 2 days and medrol for 4 days during the week before transfer.

z_momma good luck at your u/s this morning!! Hope that lining is nice and thick Only a week until your transfer, so exciting!!

MsFitzy so glad your appt went well!! That is also good to hear that there is only a 5% chance of the embies not surviving the thaw - I was wondering about that. I know what you mean about the $$ -- between the storage fees we've been paying for the last 2 years and the insuance deductible, this kid is costing us a mint before he or she even gets here But, so did our IVF girl and boy is she worth every penny!!!

Leigh so exciting you have your transfer date!! Isn't it funny how we look forward to AF when we are due to start a treatment cycle?! I can't wait for my next cycle to begin. Hope you enjoyed the weekend despite the rain!

I had a lovely Memorial Day holiday - we had wonderful weather up here in the Northeast, and I spent a good amount of time cuddling my cousin's 5lb, 14oz newborn. Ahhh good for the soul!!

Happy Summer, and Baby Dust to All!!

Okay ladies, lining is 9.56 and I think they like it between 8-11 something. Second set of medicines are as follows; progesterone oil 50mg injections, endometrin 100 mg vag tabs, lovenox 40mg, prednisone 5m, along with doxycycline, estrace, calcium, prenatals, and vivelle. Oh let me not forget the baby asprin too. I never had the oil so I am little scared for that. I am awaiting the results of my E2.

z-momma - with my IVF I did the PIO shots and they weren't bad at all. But then I did them with an IUI cycle and they hurt like crazy. Not sure what the difference was. That said, I will be back on the PIO shots with my FET as well. I iced the area and then used a heating pad afterwards. I also had my DH heat up the syringe in his hands because the oil is too thick otherwise.

Good luck on everything!

Hi, I was on the May IVF group but got my BFN today. I guess I'll be joining you guys for FET next month or possibly July. I can't believe half the year is over. My RE wants to see me June 22nd for a follow up. How long do you have to wait before you can start FET after failed fresh cycle?

Rubysmom I'm so sorry to hear about your BFN. I'm curious too how quickly you can start the FET process - hopefully very soon! Keep us updated after your RE visit in June. Assuming your profile pic is your daughter - she is gorgeous!!!

z_momma congrats on the nice healthy lining!!! Fingers crossed you get good E2 results as well. And good luck with all those meds, whew!!

Rubysmom: sorry to hear about your BFN. My first IVF earlier this year was also a BFN. My RE told me that I could start an FET as early as my next period. I opted to wait a bit for emotional as well as financial reasons.

I'm still waiting for my AF to start my first FET. She's very late and I'm very anxious!

BTW, I agree to MrsReady2bMama, your daughter is beautiful! You are going to have to keep the boys away with a swatter! :-)

Rubysmom -- I'm so sorry about your bfn. I too had a recent failed ivf last month in late April. We chose to go straight into the FET. I wasn't required to do bcps, but took them for a couple of weeks to delay the transfer until early June. Our tentative transfer date is June 5.
