I did acupuncture through my IVF cycle and before and after my transfer and got pregnant with twins.

I also did it on the day of my FET before and after the transfer,,,my clinic has a person there that does it. I will do it again for my next transfer, I believe it helps.

Maybe I should continue it throughout the entire pregnancy, maybe that would work for us?!

Every little bit helps. Also eat pineapple, it supposedly helps with implantation.

Hi everyone, hoping to join this group. I had a failed IVF in March and it was really tough - but we got 7 great quality frosties out of the cycle - yeah!

So we're trying again on June 19th - am very excited about it, but somewhat reserved as well. This time around I have not shared it with any of my friends that we're trying again, too hard, but it would be nice to have some on-line friends going through the same thing.

Also, quick question for everyone - what have all of your REs said about excercise before and after transfer? I'm a competitive tennis player and will be playing up until the transfer but have cleared my calendar for several weeks afterwards. Was just wondering what you all were told - my RE said light excercise is OK but nothing over 10 miles a week if you were a runner - he wouldn't be commital about the tennis so I decided to just refrain for a while.

Anyhow, good luck to all doing their FET this upcoming week - very exciting and great big to you all!

Shari, my RE says no exercise at all until pregnancy test. They dont think you should raise your body temp or heart rate too much. Its best to have as much blood flow in the uterus during implantation as possible.

Solange - were you on BCPs? I hope that u get ur period soon, so you can proceed with the cycle.

midum - I am glade that everything is going well and the tests came back negative. I had antithyroid antibodies checked -which is negative. what is NK cell? can it be identify by blood test only?

shari - so sorry about ur loss but its very exciting that you have 7 frosties. I also had failed cycle in march. I hope we all have our this cycle.

update on me: I started my shots on thursday evening and they have been going good so far.(progesterone) Hey does anyone have this protocol like me; estrace x2 daily, p4 x3 daily, lovenox day of transfer thereafter, progesterone shot x1 daily, prenatals, calcium, baby asprin (doxy x2, and prednisone x2 for 6 days only)

WANNABEMOMMY- no,im not on bcp.i ended lat month.ihad a shot of lupron on the 21th day of my cicle and now have to wait for my AF to start on estrogen and progesterone.

im just wondering,when will my af come ??
its been 6 days and.. nothing.i do feel that hes on his way but ..is it normal to be late for such a long time..?????because of the shot??????
i have 28 day/cicle but this shot messed me up

Shari -- I'm sorry about your bfn in March. I also had bfn in April and can relate to how you feel. I felt the same way as I did when I had my miscarriage with my first IVF. With 7 great frosties, your chances are excellent!! People have said that frozens sometimes work better because they are easier on the body. This brings me hope too as we proceed with FET after a failed fresh. How many are you thinking to transfer?

Wanna -- NK are "natural killer" cells which are part of the immune system. High levels have been implicated in implantation failure and miscarriage. It is a blood test, and if levels of high, sometimes women are treated with ivig to suppress the immune system before transfer.

z-momma -- so exciting that you'll be the first up in June! I am close behind you on June 5! My protocol is similar but I am taking delestrogen injections every 2-3 days instead of estrace. Tonight I start PIO shots, plus doxycycline for 2 days, and medrol for 4 days.

Thx to wannabemomma & Midum for the good thoughts, the failed IVF is rather brutal I must say. But time to move on and the good thing for us is that we had frosties. Also, we're transferring 2 - am super scared of multiples - yipes - twins would be OK I guess but anything more than that would be too much for me and my DH!

Z-momma- your FET is coming up soon. I am wishing you an easy and successful ET. Your procotol is similiar to mine too.
Midum- I see your day is at the end of the week. Good with your ET too. I'm praying and sending baby vibes to you both.
Update on me- Since May 27th, I started Estrace 1 mg tab twice daily. June 1st, Estrace is increased to 2 tabs twice daily, June 5th, Estrace is increased to 2 tabs 3 times daily and I go in for lining check. On 6/10, I start PIO 25mg injections first evening, then i PIO is increased to 50 mg. Whew! This is getting really technical. I find myself reading over and over trying to make sure I'm doing this right. This protocol is little different from my previous fresh IVF. Question: Does anyone have to do a trigger shot right before FET? PIO is the trigger shots? I think I'm confusing myself and trying to compare to my previous IVF. I'm trying be calm but I'm getting a little anxious.

Hi everyone. June is almost here.

Leigh - You don't have a trigger shot for an FET since you're not trying to get your ovaries to do anything. You just suppress the ovaries (usually with Lupron) and encourage the uterus to make a nice lining (with Estrace) and maintain it (with progesterone). Hope this helps.

Shari - I was told no aerobic exercise until further notice after ET. This is a killer since my biggest stress reliever is running. Ironically, when I was pregnant with my first (conceived naturally), I ran a marathon four weeks pregnant (didn't know I was pregnant) and placed third in my age group in a 10K 20 weeks pregnant.

Not much going on with me. We went camping this weekend and it was great. Had lots of fun but got super sore. I should be getting AF in about 2 weeks unless a miracle happens on its own. Then I can finally start the process. Feels like forevers away though.

BlueIsis - I am not a runner but ever since I started treatment, I want to do running and I can't. I think its stress.

Leigh66- In medicated FET, our ovaries are suppressed so we don't ovulate and hence no trigger shot.

Solange - I dont know anything @ one shot of Lupron but I hope that u get ur period soon and start the process.

Midum - my protocol is similar to urs. BCP, lupron, delestrogen, PIO,doxycycline,Medrol, Valium,Baby asprin,vitamins.
