Anyone felt the Uterus twist/stretch and then stop?

Silly question I know, but I want to see how bad I might be freaking out LOL.

I had period like cramps most all day Friday 5-22-09, then POAS Saturday 5-23-09 and ...then slight cramping and definitely some sort of ligament or uterus stretching Saturday and Sunday. I had a little Monday morning but nothing at all since then.

Does this sound normal to anyone? Am I just a hot mess?

I had similar symptoms

I occassionally have (including early in my pg) short pains that feel like stretching. I was told that it is most likely my uterus stretching in preparation for the baby's growth. My midwife says that is normal as long as the pain goes away. Now that I'm 19 weeks pg I tend to feel stretching pain when I twist or stretch my body.

My ultrasound is perfectly healthy baby girl so I assume these pains are normal. Good luck with your pg and congrats!

thanks for the response grumpy

I have had the stretching on and off for the past week. Today is been an uncomfortable day, cannot get comfortable at my desk all day, my right hip seems to be sore. I think I might be sleeping bad.

All in all, I am ok with whatever odd pain or uncomfortable feeling I have as long as we have a healthy pregnancy.

Thanks again

I have had those sensations, but not quite as early on as you did. I wonder if you have more than one in there Maybe that is why the feeling is a bit more intense.

I had those pains when I was pregnant with my daugher following an IVF cycle. My dr said that it was perfectly normal, your body increases some sort of hormone so that it begins the stretching process of your pelvic area. I'm currently in the 2ww following a FET on one embryo, wish me luck and Good luck to you all.
