Hi everyone. Im four days past transfer now. So probably the embies have either implanted or died. (I know that sounds morbid, but thats the truth.) Im feeling good about the cycle, and continue to POAS every morning. Im really hopeful.

But having said that, it wont be the end of the world if it doesnt work. We will do another IVF in Jan or Feb, and try again. (just me again... focusing on plan B to get me through the 2WW. cause its tricky to keep an emotional ballance on this beam!)

But..... I do feel like maybe there are some good signs... I still have cramping. I think that could possibly be good.... or it could possibly be the progesterone.... who knows. But yess... Im still here, (as Im sure you've all guessed) and I promise to post immediatley if I get anything new or exciting on an HPT.

to all!!!!

Sweatpea, I know what you mean - thinking the embryos have either implanted or are gone. I am trying to be positive, but it's hard.

For those in the 2ww, how is it going? I've been super busy at work, so that is helping pass the time. My 2ww is actually 2 weeks. My transfer was on Wed, the 8th and I don't have my beta until Tue, the 21st. I can't believe I have an entire week left!

As for symptoms, I definitely noticed that my breasts have gotten heavier/larger, probably from the PIO. Also, started having AF like cramps a few days ago, so that is freaking me out a bit.

I know that if this cycle doesn't work, I can do another. I pay completely out of pocket, but I did pay for the Shared Risk program at my clinic (6 fresh and unlimited frozen cycles). Unfortunately, I also pay for all of my medicines out pocket, which is REALLY expensive. I know I shouldn't be thinking about any of this now, in the 2ww!

Hope everyone else in the 2ww is doing great and good luck to everyone who is getting ready to transfer!

Metformin Question

Hi gals -
Was wondering if I could join you late in the game for FET this month? I am scheduled for a FET on July 24th (DH's birthday! ) and have 4 embryos frozen. I'll probably transfer 2, but am very apprehensive............(I had transfered two fresh embryos -day 5, back in September 08, both took, had two healthy baby boys and then they were still born at 5 1/2 months). You can see why I'm a little scared and freaking out. My DH and I don't have kids yet, but are praying and trying to stay positive.

I was recently diagnosed with IR and my doctor wants me on Metfromin. I've been taking it, but it's gotten me VERY sick......to the point that I don't want to take it anymore. I rather control my IR with diet and exercise. However, my dr. told me it helps in the implantation for ET. Has anyone heard of this??

Anyway, good luck to everyone.

Im so sorry to hear about your loss.

I havent heard of that condition, but I know that there are other ladies on this thread on Met, who probably relate to some of the symptoms youre having. Ive heard that medication is a doozie!

good luck this cycle!!

Hi everybody,
Well, I did get a +hpt! It was late Monday night and had me up till three, excited. Dh was already asleep and I wanted to tell him in a special way, with some special food, etc, so I had to wait until he got home last night. It felt like forever! Thats why I didnt post about it yesterday. I wanted him to be the first to hear.

At first the line was so so light I almost couldnt see it, but now its really darkening up. I was really worried at first, but looking back, it was really early- 4dp5dt. What was I hoping for, after all?

Today Im leaving for a wedding, so Im going to be MIA until friday.

Sending good vibes to everybody!!

Welcome Ariesstar!

Congrats, Sweetpea..! I am trying to NOT poas. I'm not feeling that positive right now, though. The cramps continue...

What types of symptoms are you experiencing, Sweetpea?

Sending good thoughts to everyone!

Congratulations Sweetpea! That's really xlnt. news! YAY!!!!!!!!!

I just saw my dr. today and am still scheduled for next Friday FET. Very excited! They said my estrogen is 772 and my lining looks really good. I that the little guys thaw nicely............
BTW, my dr. put me down to 1/2 a pill of metformin. We'll see how that goes as far as symptoms. I would rather take more shots over metformin.

BTW - I forgot who watches the Bachelorette on this thread, but I have to admit that it's a guilty pleasure of mine as well. (Thank God Wes is gone............I think she's going to pick Ed, that's my bet.)

Hi Guys.
I've been gone a while. My sister had an emergency hysterectomy and had to fly to TN to be with her the last 3 weeks. I've kept up with the posts but just have not posted myself.

Sweet Pea.......CONGRATS!!!! I am sooo happy for you. I can only imagine how excited you must be. And now going to the wedding is just some well deserved R&R.

AmyVA.....good luck to you. I am not sure if I will POAS this time. I did with my fresh in May/June of this year but it put me on a crazy rollercoaster that I am not sure if I want to be back on or not.....so keep your spirits up....praying for you

FinalFrontier - hope your transfer went well.

Ariestar - you are an inspiration for what you've been through. I really pray that you have lots of blessings this time around and healthy babies.

Hi Guys.

I've been missing in action. My sister had to have an emergency hysterectomy a few weeks ago and I flew in to help with my nieces and nephews.

SweetPea - congratulations.....that is awesome. Enjoy the wedding in MIA, I am sure you feel on cloud nine now....

Ariestar - good luck on your upcoming transfer. I know you are getting excited.

Caligirl - this is probably late, but we transfered 3 our first time and got a BFN. We only have 3 snowbabies left so I think we are going to try 2 this time just so we have 1 left for PLAN B (like sweet pea says just planning so its gets you through...LOL)

FinalFrontier - good luck on your transfer tommorrow. hope you have some help with DS afterwards.

Amyva - more power to ya for holding out for the beta. I tested last time and it was an emotional rollercoaster..........it can be so HIGH when you get what you want but unfortunatley the LOW can be worse......I know plenty of people on these boards that either had AF symptoms or no symptoms and they still were postive so just keep keeping busy.

AS for me. I had to see an RE in Nashville to get my initial lining check and E level. It was a nice place but much more doctor's office like. I am also self pay so when I went to check out, they told me I got a discount and then five minutes later they said I didn't get the discount because I wasn't a patient there. BOY WAS I HOT.......UGH.......it makes me so MAD that they have no sympathy for self pay and how much we struggle to pay for all this.......ANYWAY.

The appt went well and I started 4 dot patches last saturday and have to change them every other day. I really have not had ANY side effects, which has been NICE. I have my 2nd monitoring appt tommorrow to check things out and then one more on the 21st. I am still scheduled for the 28th for now.

All in all this is MUCH easier than the fresh cycle I had in May.June of this year. I am not near as emotional.......

Sending prayers and blessings to each of you.

B
