Great to see some of you still on here!

Seay77, I think you summed up WHY I'm hesitant to POAS. I did it with all of my IUI's and my first fresh cycle. Everytime , I saw a BFN. It was devastating. It was more devastating because I knew there was a chance my beta could still be positive, but it was hard for me to have hope. So instead of just being sad for a few days after the beta, I was sad for much longer. It was hard. I know a lot of people disagree, but it might be worth it for me to just hold out. That way, I can at least try to have hope for a bit longer....

Wow I can't believe we are finally pregnant and it was a Frozen Embryo Transfer!!!!!

Me:39 ttc since 2006 unknown fertility all tests including laproscopy were fine no problems, very unexplained
DH: 33 perfect numbers are off the chart.

Clomid 6 months,
IUI 3 times
IVF 1 Fresh cycle 22 eggs retrieved, 16 naturally fertilized, 8 frozen on day 2, 4 out of the other made it to blast. 2 transfered and 2 frozen to make a 10 total frozen. 8 day 2 and 2 day 6.
All above attempts were:
During IVF stimulation, retrieval and transfer, I was very sick vomiting even on phenergan the entire time.
July 8th frozen embryo transfer 2 blast transfered, left with 2 blast frosties. Really no symtoms during 2ww just a little pulling in lower abdomen but I may have just imagined it because that is what everyone else said happened to them.
1st Beta July17Day 10 p5dt : 152
2nd Bet scheduled for Monday July 20......

I really never I thought I would see this day. I have had regular 28 day cycles to the hour my entire life, once when I was 29 I tried for a brief time to get pregnant and was 12 days late once but . I really am in disbelief. My husband and I have had every test known to man and they haven't been able to find a reason. My husband and I have decided not to tell anyone until I'm further along since it has been such a long road, I'm dying to tell my mother but she is very emotionally fragile so I think it's better to wait. And nevermind that I am a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse and know way too much for my own good. I have been reading this forum for over a year but this is my first post and I am so glad I did. Oh by the way I caught my husband outside crying a few minutes ago. He got embarrassed and said he was just wiping off his face since it is so hot outside. We have a ways to go so please everyone keep us in your thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!

Hi Guys.

Sarah84 - looks like you are 1 day behind me. I am scheduled for the 28th. When you said only 12 days till transfer I started getting excited and nervous. I will be keeping up with your posts and seeing how you are doing.

Amyva - I read your post, shaking my head. I never tried IUI, DH wanted to go straight for the big guns (LOL) plus he is active duty so we have to work around his schedule alot. I was not going to POAS but I did and every day it was painful, but after the beta and a few days of tears, I picked myself up and here I am again. I truly believe that everything has it's time in the one aboves eyes. Soooo we just have to keep going. I am really for you.....

Dottieheart - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! HOW EXCITING.......and when you said your hubby was crying I wanted to cry......that is sooo sweet......I read these posts alot before I decided to post this cycle. Just goes to show you how many people are reading but not posting. I really pray your numbers continue to rise. I've never been pregnant before either and am sooooooooo looking forward to the day that I can see that double line, that plus sign and a BETA that is through the roof. No matter when it happens!!!!!!!!! Keep us posted on your numbers.....

Dottieheart – Welcome and congrats on your BFP. Lets keep them coming!
I also had a funny pulling feeling about 3 or 4 days after my last transfer and had a bfp from that. I’m sure that was the embryos implanting. Praying for that feeling again!

Seay77 – I’m in Australia and we’re 1 day ahead of you guys so technically we’ll be doing the transfers on the same day. That’s so exciting!

AmyVa – I’m praying that you get that BFP. I’ve told myself that I’m going to POAS 1x only and I don’t want to know the BETA numbers from the blood test, I just want to know that it’s positive. I found it too stressful waiting and analysing the blood results. This time I just want to enjoy every moment I have with out stress (yeah right! Lol!). That’s the plan but I know what I’m like so I probably wont stick to it!

Sweetpea - How are you feeling? I hope you're taking it easy still.

Hope everyone else is going well. Wishing us all the best! xoxoxo

Keeping the BFP's Coming!!

Hi gals -

Is it just me, or is the month of July flying by??!!??

Seay77 - I totally agree that the FET is much easier than the fresh. I can't believe when I did the fresh ET back in Sept. 08, that I did it during the beg. of the school year. (What was I thinking?? Crazy girl) While the FET is easier, I couldn't get myself to do the Lupron shots this time around. I had to have DH do them due to high anxiety with needles, etc. I'm just glad that I'm off for the summer and can relax.

SYB & Lila - Our transfers are coming up soon. Less than 1 week away. Are you guys excited???

Dottieheart- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! You are a real inspiration. Our stories seem similar with all the testing and unexplained infertility. (Plus, we are the same age. I am inspired by your great news!)

Everyone take care!

I agree w too, Seay, The FET cycle is way way easier. I really am still in shock that I'm pregnant. Even knowing it nearly all week, I still don't feel like Ive suffered enough! Isnt that sick!? So I can't believe its really true.

I think its just that the IVF, by comparison was so huge and monumental. It was a three month process, versus one. It was hardly any meds versus TONS. It was no transfer versus transfer. No possibility of having OHSS, versus a chance, etc etc etc. Even the 2ww didnt really feel long, b/c I started counting days at the transfer versus the retrieval, making it so much shorter.

I really had to work for my little girl. I feel so guilty to have a BFP without really having been deeply derpressed leading up to it.. poked myself for it...etc etc etc.

heaven knows what kind of guilty confession I would feel like Id have to make if I ever again concieved naturally! ...LOL.

Thank you so much!!!! Please just hang in there. I have my second Beta tomorrow morning, I really can't believe that I even have a positive. Don't let the age thing mess with your head, I am convinced it is just a number regardless of what everyone says. Good luck with your Transfer, I am a believer too that Frozen can be better than Fress these days with the technology and if you are like me your body is in a better place since the FET is so much easier!!!!!! I will be praying for you!!!!!!!

Well the RE visit went good today and I am confirmed for the 24th. My lining measured 10 so she was pleased and we are on our way now.

Lila and Ariesstar I guess we are on the same schedule so heres hoping we all get BFN's together!!
My first POI shot today reminded me how much I didn't enjoy that part of this but hopefully this time it works out.

Only 1 DE to transfer this time so keep your fingers crossed for us.
