Congrats to the BFP girls!

Hi everyone,
Sorry I have been MIA. I went through a rough spot because I got a negative, not even a lousy chemical this time. DH and my family have been so supportive.

I needed a few days to recuperate. I have my meeting with my RE on Tuesday. I also scheduled a second opionion at an SIRM clinic.

Any used them before?

Congrats to all the . I am so excited for you. Your stories are all inspirational.

All of your kindness and support have made me feel so much better.

Am I off my rocker --

Can I run something passed my fabulous online fertility friends?

I need to know if this idea is completely crazy or worth a shot....I will not be offended by anyone's opinion and desperately would like to hear from you.

So everything seems to be perfect with my embryos. I know that there is still a chance that they are abnormal but they make it to "perfect" 5 day blasts.

I have someone that has excitedly offered to be a surrogate for me, free of charge. She had a child at 15yo, then 20yo, had her tubes tied for 17 years. She got pregnant the first possible month she could with a son, after it was reversed. Then tried again 2 years later for another child. It took her 3 months to conceive another son.
She did need to be on progesterone suppositories for her last child (but a drop in the bucket for us ART girls).

She is fine with all the shots, doc visits, and bedrest. She does not work (as she has a 10 and 12 year old to look after)..well, she is an artist...kinda hippy-ish without the doobie and barefeet. She doesn't do any drugs, smoke or drink (not even a drop). Her exercises are yoga and walking. She said and I quote, "I love having kids, its what I am good at"

DH was excited about it... His only concern was how he would explain to my stepdaughter. I was amazed this was his only concern.

There is a catch or two. She is 49 yo...and I am the first child she had at 15.

I have big concerns about her health but she thinks she can do it, no problem. She still gets her period monthly, but says she has skipped a month or two. Should I bring her to my RE appt on Tuesday to see what he says?

I have an awesome relationship with my mom. I know if anyone can do this... she can.

It has been done before....see stories below:

Malone - you are not crazy, I think you should use any necessary means to get the baby you so desire. I have 2 sisters (both have 2 children), and a best friend that have said they would do it for me, but I want to try 1 last time on my own before I go any other route. 1 of my sisters even said she would donate eggs if we needed them. I think if you are even considering it, you should take your loving mother with you to your next RE visit and get the professional opinion. I say go for it

Thanks Mel

It means alot to me to be supported by people like you. Nobody know what this journey is like but us.

I am going to see what the Reproductive Immunologist at SIRM says first. I still have 17 2pn frozen and 2 blasts frozen. I think I do want to try one more time for myself.

You are so lucky to have such a supportive family. It is wonderful.

Thanks again.

Thank you to everyone for keeping me in your prayers! I know I'm not out of the woods by a longshot but it's looking better everyday!

Malone - You are not off your rocker, I'd so go for it! My best friend offered for me but unfortunately my state is only just now going through the process of legalising surrogacy so it wasn't an option for us but if it was, I would've done it in a second.

Malone - You are not crazy AT ALL! I had a couple of friends suggest it to me after my nasty ectopic experience.... it certainly gave us something to think about!

I vote for whatever means possible to get your little miracle

Congratulations to Sarah and Amison!!!! YAY!!!

Malone - I fourth that motion, and agree with the other girls to go for it. I had a dear friend, as well as a sister-in-law offer to be a surrogate for me and DH. But, I still want to try one last time for a fresh cycle. If I didn't lose all my embryos this past cycle, I might have done another FET with a surrogate on the 3rd try. Good luck to you. I think surrogacy is a selfless and precious gift.

AMISON- CONGRATULATIONS

MALONE - I 5th the motion. My sis offered for us to, so go with what you feel!!!

AFM:
Okay so I've been kinda putting this pregnancy on the back burner. However, part of me had been hoping that God would give me some sign about what to do moving foward. Well on Friday, I emailed my RE to set up an appt to talk and he emails me back right when DH calls on the phone.......When I read the email I started crying. He basically wants us to try again, wants to do a hysteroscopy, give us FREE meds, and discount heavily the fresh cycle. I am sitting on the phone with DH and reading......GO OMG!!!

SO I am suppose to call next week to talk to them about it...........I cannot even believe it........DH was a bit upset cause he thought I was done and just wanted to take a break but after getting the email I just started getting EXCITED again about the possibility of it really working. Money has been an issue to and its like now that won't be in the way.

What do you think????

The other question I have for you girls. Is I started my cycle last Monday........passed an enormous clot (TMI- but I had to tell, NEVER before had one this size), cramping stopped and then spotted for tues and then stopped on Wend.

So now it is Saturday and I am spotting brown......never happened before........IS this normal????

SO many questions!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes - I am this will be the one.... we all know what a rocky road it is... I go back on Monday for another beta...

Seay - I think you just got your sign! That is amazing that the RE wants to do all of that for you. You must have such a great relationship with them. I can understand why DH is upset. It is so emotional, and he must have resigned himself to thinking it was over... obviously something inside you says differently

It will be good to talk with them and see what they have to say! I know what you mean about each cycle being so hopeful.... that is what keeps us all going

I am not sure about the bleeding... but I have to think that is normal... after what your body has been through...it seems like I have had stuff like that happen after different cycles... It sure can't hurt to call and ask them quickly ??

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend. This is my last one before school starts!!!!!! I need to get my butt into the school and set up my room!!!

You girls really are great - I am so glad to have found you

Oh my goodness! I've been gone for a couple of days and SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED!!!!

Sarah & Amison: CONGRATULATIONS! You deserve this sooooo much! I am so happy for you both. Can't wait to hear about first ultrasound for you Sarah AND second BETA results for you Amison.

Malone: What a wonderful gift that is...I do NOT think you are off your rocker. How wonderful to have your own mother do this for you! Go to the appointment, take your mother with you.... WOW!!!!!! I am so excited for you!!! I am amazed at the selfless love a mother has for her children and can't wait for us to experience the same! Your post had me on the verge of tears... DO IT!

Seay77: GIRL! That is a sign... how wonderful for you to have this opportunity. It is true, when one door closes, another one opens. I can't wait to hear what you decide to do and when you cycle again.

Tara: How are you doing? What is your plan?

Sweetpea: How is your pregnancy going? How have you been feeling?

MelandDigz: What are you doing to prepare for upcoming FET (physical, emotional/mental)?

AFM: Just packing it up...getting ready for the move this weekend. I'm not sure when I'll cycle again. I kind of want to do it in January but part of me thinks I should just wait till summer, when the school year is over. It makes me nervous though because I will be one year older. What do you all think? It is a hard decision but I'm just not sure what to do...with part of an ovary and all...what are your thoughts ladies? You've all been so supportive and I really appreciate it. This can be such a lonely road...

I can't wait to hear more about everyone's news!!!
