You made me get tears in my eyes. Good luck and stay positive. That is great that the blast made it to Day 6 - that means it was already hatching. I have one frozen that they said was starting to hatch. I will pray for you and keep thinking positive thoughts!

I'm an emotional mess. My daughter keeps kissing my stomach saying that she is kissing her baby brother and it makes me break down every time. I just feel like the chances are so slim so please pray for me!

How nerve jangling an experience. Im so sorry one did not make the thaw. I can only imagine how you must have been feeling when they told you about it. But a day six is really good. And 12 hours to implant, wow! You could already be pregnant! With a little daughter around, are you able to rest much, or is it just impossible? (with your sweet little girl). She sounds so adorable. Your post made me so emotional too. I will be praying for you. I really want this to work, for your whole family. Keep us posted on how you feel, and remember, it only takes one.

Three posts in a row. How embarrassing!
I just posted the updates and am wondering if people with dates want to be left in the waiting for AF coloum. If you want out, let me know. Im staying in, bc Im still waiting
Today I have our financial consult. I know what they are going to say-2000-3000 dollars. This is just a formality. Pennies when compared with the almost 20 grand we dropped last year (w testing all out of pocket) for our initial IVF. But a chunk of change, ya know? Whoever said (was is you leolady?) that the medical care system is the USA is shocking, youre totally right. I feel blessed and grateful that we have the means to do this at all.

just out of curiosity, how much have your IVF's and current FET's cost? LOVE to know. ..

Sarah-yay! youre in July! even on the 29th, thats so much better than planning for August somehow.

KCFCLF-How comforting that the second opinion matched. Its great to know that youre getting the best possible treatment.

KCF and JustOne4Me- so, PCOS huh? just out of curiosity, what are the symptoms of that. I have two sisters with it, and am not retesting this time. Maybe I should be. what have your Dr.s noticed that shows PCOS in the mix?

Sunny_skies-wow. We're more similar than you even guessed. I'm 29 in the fall too, and we also are hoping for a big family. (I'm from a huge one). ..and, additionally, my little girl is seven and a half months old. And, we've been through all the anxiety about planning and timing etc. And I somtimes still wonder about the rightness of the date, and about how many embies to put in. we're doing two, for sure, with hopes of at least getting one. Twins would also be great, for sure, but wow. That would be four babies three and under for at least a month until DS turns four in april next year. Could I do it? Sure. It would be crazy, but it would be a blessing and a joy. Esp since we want more kids, and have lots of fam. around to help. I too feel the pressure to get moving. I have four sisters and three of them have had significant IF problems, repeat IVFs, failed ones, children, and some adoptions. They all have at least four kids now, but not without a huge fight with fate for each baby. The one sis who hasnt had probs is to young to know she may too.

Lets all send hope and telepathic babydust Jewellc's way.

Jewellc - I will pray for you. I do believe that kids say it like it is and so I do think ur daughter is right. It is going to be her baby brother.

Sweetpea - I actually went in for a second opinion with another RE. I am in the same boat as KCFCLF. We have unexplained fertility. It was defintely reassuring that my actual RE did everything right and it was just bad luck that it did not work for us. It was really frustrating when she said that I was a statistic and that was the only thing that was wrong with my cycle.

I am just hoping that it is going to be a BFP and a really big fat one.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and prayers. My daughter is usually non stop and she has been so empathic because she has been really calm the last two days. It's like she knows that I can't jump around with her and pick her up. Thank you all again. My prayers go to each and every one of you.

I hate the part of the 2ww where you start to over analyze every little twinge, or cramp or feeling. It's already happening to me. These darn hormones!

Rats. Dont you hate unexplained? Im that too. Its so horrible. So unfulfilling to not know what youre fighting in the first place, but still hope for success.

This cycle is going to be the one. The big fat BFP of your dreams.

This is a gorgoeus sight. my spine shivers when I look at that little guy. Its happened three times now. Maybe its a sign. Lets hope.

And I agree- I think kids know. when I was pregnant we asked DS if it was a girl or a boy lots of times. I was sure we were having a second boy. He always always always said the same word in response- not boy or girl, but "Sister." It was really interesting, bc ususally he resonds with one of the options we give, you know... the same word. (and he was little-I didnt know he knew about sisters) But he always said sister, and now thats what he calls her Sister, when he's not calling her "Barbara" (so silly! her real name is Carina, but "Barbara" gets a huge laugh from me and DH. I have NO idea where he got that one LOL) (With being called Sister so often, I really hope she doesn't end up a nun!!)

Sweatpea-It was me saying the medical structure in the states is shocking! I couldn't believe how much medical insurance was being taken out of my wage and yet I still had to pay to go to the Doctor.
Over here you don't need medical insurace and to go to the Doctor it costs $30.00
Ivf is around $12000 and up depending on drugs and a frozen cycle is $1200

KCFCLF-We are the same age and I turn 35 next month Good luck this cycle!

Sarah-how do you have your dates for your FET? I have to wait for my AF and then I'll get my dates.

Sweetpea - PCOS for me is not really severe. I have very mild periods. I do not get a bright red color usually at all. I get a dark brown and usually will last only 4 days at the most. And that is what we will be definetly watching closely this time around. My lining is not getting thick enough - its only 7.2 the last time even though it had the 3rd line. I have to take extra estrace tablets and a vivelle patch so that I get enough in my system to build my lining up. But, we think that is the main problem. I will not do the transfer this cycle unless that lining is up over 8. I already made that clear with my dr.

You wanted to know about the IVF costs. I paid about $13,000 including meds (imy insurance covered 2500 - thats it) Then the FET cycle was $4000 plus meds. So, over the last 2 cycles we paid over 17,000. That is why we talked to the dr. and told him that he has to cut us a break and that we were willing to pay for the actual procedure, but the monitoring has to be waived or we couldnt get our last 2 blasts. He agreed, and we are on our way.

Sunny skies - I am actually on the other side of the state - Reading, PA. I live about 50 minutes outside of Philly. I am Pens all the way! But, I will be at the Red Sox vs. Philies game on Friday and Saturday night. With baseball - I am a Red Sox fan! Fenway is incredible.

Leolady - I cant believe I am going to be 35 in September. It is just crazy. I dont feel that old - only after a hard work out the night before, I can feel it in my feet. But...I love being in my 30's. Good luck this cycle!!! I wonder if we are the old ones on this cycle?
Thinking of you sweetpea!!

Jewellc - I'm so sorry that only 1 made it. I will be praying for you! Get lots of rest! Sending you tons of baby dust! xoxoxo

Leolady - Because of my pcos, I don't get my periods often so the RE put me on the pill to make sure I have a cycle and worked out the dates from there.

My protocol - Start pill, continue until 7th july. Overlap with Synarel from 2nd July until 23rd July. Start Progynova on 12th July, continue until advised to stop. Start progesterone (Crinone) on 24th July, continue until advised to stop. I have a blood test on the 10th of July to check my e2 and hcg levels and a scan on the 23rd of july to check my lining is thick enough. If all is good, we do the transfer on the 29th. I think we're about a day ahead of you guys as well so my 29th is your 28th.

Hi everyone just checking in. I have my apt. with my nurse to get my calendar Monday and I can't wait. I will post more when I find out on Monday.

Has anyone done massage before the transfer? I was reading up on that and found it interesting. I will try anything!
Yeah Sarah for getting your dates!
KCF- The stress of paying for IVF is killer, good for you and your RE that they are willing to work with you.
Sweetpea-so cute that your daughter is kissing your belly! Take a lot of pictures!
Jewel GOOD LUCK!
Sorry if I missed anyone else and Welcome to everyone who is new!

teacher tara- awesome. So excited for you!! how exciting! ps I totally believe in the mind/body connection. It follows, for me personally, that massage can be very useful. Anything to get that beautiful bod. relaxed, happy, and ready to receive!

Jewellc--how are you holding up with the wait? how are you doing mentally, and how are you feeling? anything interesting to report? Hows your little girl, and DH holding up? I hope this weekend holds some R&R, and lots of pampering.

OK, so I just learned something fascinating. It has to do with vitrification, if that applies to you. Interesting, and only a few paragraphs. Its the top article.

The reason why I liked this article is because after I read it, I realized that most of the stats making up the currently posted success rates for FET's from my clinic are a year behind,(you know SART! always one year off). and don't reflect mostly vitrified embryos, rather cryopreserved.

anyway... so maybe some of our odds (many of us) are hopefully better than we think?
read the article if you have five min.
