Hi everyone - wondering if I could get added to the July list? I had my first negative IVF cycle in May and I'm scheduled for my FET transfer on July 8th.
My schedule consists of this: 3 weeks of BCP - just finished these on Monday! BW/US on Friday Start Delestrogen 6/19 - one shot every 3 days PIO shots starting 7/2 - I've never done these before. I used Prometrium for IUI's and Endometrin for the IVF Baby aspirin

Ok, I think I need some encouragment.... I've been having really bad lower back pains and occaisional period like cramps - off and on, nothing that has lasted for any length of time. The last two days I've started to feel nauseous. Do you think that (if I were pregnant) that I would feel symptoms prior to a positive Home pregnancy test? I started to get a little nauseous before they lowered my estrogen dose prior to the FET but it went away several days before the transfer.
At first i thought that it was all in my head and that I'm making up pregnancy like symptoms but I've really tried to stay relaxed and just accept whatever happens. I hope these are good signs but I guess we really won't know until Monday!

Newbie
Hi guys. I have been reading these boards for about a month now. We just had our 1st IVF cycle in May/June and received our negative this past Tuesday. I never really thought it would be so disappointing and emotional. However, I've cried all I can cry and now we are moving forward. I've stopped all meds and we are waiting for AF and the schedule for our FET of our 3 snowbabies.
I am 31 with unexplained infertility and my DH is 28 and perfect. We have never been pregnant and had previously tried about 10 rounds of clomid with no pregnancies. We prayed and prayed for direction and put our paperwork in for adoption in June of 09 and were placed in August and our son Kai was born November 10. We got him when he was 3 days old and it was just a huge blessing from God. He is 7 months now and getting into everything. After adopting him I knew that it was time to try IVF and we had really high hopes for this round. However, everything has its purpose and place with Christ so we are now moving on to round two. I love reading everyone's stories because they are encouraging and uplifting. The verse that gets me through it all is, "And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we maek our requests, we also know he will give us what we ask for." 1 John 5:14-15. On another note. POAS is EVIL........DON'T do it. I can honestly say the agony of taking tests and getting negatives before the beta was just torture. Also, I used to live in Florida and had a friend that did the Bio-Identical hormone spit in a test tube thing and she DID get pregnant. She swears by bio-identicals. So GO for it!! Nice to meet all of you!!!! |

Thank you for the verse Seay77, it's really nice to read something like that. It definitely calms me and you are right, I need to stop POAS - it's making me crazy!
Good Luck to you!

seay77, Congratulations on Kai! I also have a 7 month old, and so does Sunnyskies. Its nice to see there are others with a little one this age trying again. At first I thought everyone was going to think we were crazy gearing up to do it all again soon, but people have been encouraging. (we have not told ANY family members about the FET yet, and dont plan to, so I guess Im talking mostly about perpheral people anyway, but support always helps)Here's hoping for a successful cycle!!

Tell me where you want to go.Its so fun to go through something like this with lots of other supportive ladies, and so great that you found the group. Request--so, I was just wondering if any of you who dont have a signature wouldn't mind adding one with your calendars and maybe protocalls? Its just bc Im having a hard time keeping track of who everybody is without reviewing the whole thread. Fet
Hi, I am new to this site and also doing our first FET in July. Just started estradiol 2mg today, will have ultrasound on July 2 and transfer on July9. I have no idea what to expect this time around in terms of medications and treatment. The last time was our first IVF w/ICSI fresh cycle. Will there be fewer meds this time?

Jewell, These days are so tortureous (how is that really spelled?) Im so sorry the wait is so hard. My only advice is to get out of town for the remaining time in your wait. Just do ANYTHING NEW to get the passage of time, and your possible pregnancy out of your mind. (I know its impossible) Last time I have no idea how I got through the 2ww. and you know what? my clinic has just increased the time from 14 days to 16 days. They wont do a single beta now until 16 days after!! can you believe it!! Im spitting mad. Im with you Jewell. Totally praying and hoping that this will be a BFP. I think its time for you to download that "there can be miracles" song from the prince of egypt. Go find itunes now, seriously. And get some good takeout for dinner. You know what food Im totally into, which is horrible for you? the sicilian California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas, in the frozen section. Such a bad thing to like, but its hopeless... or if that doesnt sound good, maybe ben and jerries? tried the mint cookie one?? ![]() |

JillianS Great to have you! I just edited your info into the list. Thanks for the dates You know, I dont know what to say about what your med sched will be like, but I do know that most people say that FETs are way easier. Mine is a natural cycle. Im only using and HCG trigger and progesterone support, but there are lots of ladies here that are on more. Just depends on your diagnosis and Dr. I think. Anyway, welcome! and its GREAT to have you! Feel at home ![]() |

Hi again, everyone.
So we got a call from the RE and our appt. originally scheduled for next Friday is moved to Tuesday the 23--yay! Can anyone give me some idea of what the plan is going to be? (I know the RE will explain all of this when we see him, but just curious...) I believe I have to do a round of BC pills to start, right? I have PCOS and very irregular periods, so not sure how that will affect things. Will they make me do a round of provera to induce the period, so that I can then start the BC? Any thoughts? AMAYA -- How exciting that you are headed to the 'burgh!! I am so very jealous. I'd give anything to move home but, alas, there are so few jobs. (We are in the DC area). Where will you be doing your graduate work? I did both my graduate and undergrad at Carnegie Mellon. You will love the city. I recommend checking out the Shadyside/Squirell Hill area. It is close to Pitt, CMU, Chatham, Duquesne, and Carlow. Very quaint; lots of cute shops and boutiques, good restaurants, and pretty older homes. Lots of college students of all ages, along the bus routes, and safe. Sweet Pea -- Hard to believe you are in the full swing of things!! How exciting!! Hope you are doing okay with the 2WW, Jewellc. Hopefully you will be the first name added to Sweet Pea's "BEANS IN THE OVEN" group!! YEAH!!! |

Hello again
Hi guys. I am going to post a scripture everyday if you guys don't mind. It is the only thing that gets me through everyday and thought it might be helpful for everyone else on this journey.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray with me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you." Jeremiah 29:11-14 SweetPea: I was very weary of IVF until we adopted Kai. Things just changed once we became parents. I knew at the point that God had created him just for us and so when he was about 3 months old we started praying and then PCSed to NC. Went to see and RE and paid our money that day. 6 weeks later we were in our first IVF. Everything just feel into place. So, I think starting when you have young ones is the best cause then they will be closer to age!!! I also agree about the 2ww. If you are not on bed rest but 2 days then GO OUT OF TOWN or go visit someone, but if I had any advice for myself or others I would say do not be at home. MY DH just left for 4 months (military), so I was driving myself mad at home. This time I will plan to go somewhere so I do not think about it. I did get my AF today. So I start BCP's on Saturday. I have to have a cervical dilation and saline US next friday because they had some difficulty with my ET. I guess there is something going on structurally inside so they are hoping that this will fix it and make the ET much easier. As far as schedule. I think we do BCP's for 3 weeks then start Estrogen and Progesterone, then get a uterus lining check and then have the schedule FET. The entire process only takes about 4-6 weeks. So that is good. I just created my sig line so hopefully it will work now. Last edited by Seay77 : 06-18-2009 at 12:03 PM. |

sunny_skies, so great to hear from you again! I've been watching and hoping that you would pop up soon
ok, so I have to admit, I dont know much about PCOS, or the things it means to a FET cycle, so Im not much help on what to expect. sorry. But I do know how great it is to have an appointment moved up! YAY! that really is exciting. Its like hitting just the right square in Candyland, or shutes and ladders and moving into the lead. Such a great feeling.... hey, do you have mental wobbles about your timing? (you probably dont) I have to admit, Im not always totally sure about how perfect our timing is... but we definatley want to get pregnant this summer, and the other months dont work with our vacation sched. So... July it is. Jewellc-how you hanging in? Just a few more days. Maybe you should go do some shopping or something. Shopping soothes away so many of life's worries Maybe perfume? Have you tried Miss Bucheron?? (ugly bottle, fun scent)Seay, awesome sig thx. I have such a bad memory, and those really help me to keep new friends straight. thats great about . Funny how when gearing up for an IF cycle, her appearance is so welcome. Ive never been happier to be on my period than I am right now.All-- The weather here in the Bay Area is perfect right now. Really. So beautiful. Me and DS washed our car this morning just for fun, because its so nice outside, and weve been to the park and sandbox and out walking so many times already this week. and... we are also planning a trip for the weekend DH is taking tomorrow off and we're headed south to Laguna Nigel to visit some family. Cant wait. All that talk of leaving town and I couldnt resist but plan a trip myself. And also, this week was our anniversary, so its for that too, a little bit. You know whats not very fun? having your period on your anniversary. Im not really into that.
