Has anyone had 2nd try work with no major changes?

I just completed my first IVF with an FET because that was protocol for the study with a BFN. Has anyone had success with the 2nd try (first FET if they did a fresh transfer) without making any major changes? I guess my question is, can you sometimes a BFN with no real cause and then follow up with BFP?

BETA #1: 8dp5dt = 143!
BETA #2: 10dp5dt = 332
Sonos
4/29 #1 (6w): 2 sacs, no HBs yet!
4/30 #2 (6w+1): spotting. saw 2 HBs! B's sac measuring smaller than A's.
5/4 #3 (6w+5): heavy bleeding over wknd. A's HB 136, B's 113. B's sac still very small - possibly non-viable.
5/8 #4 (7w+2): Baby A grew 4mm, HB 138. Baby B grew 3 mm, HB 134. Still told to expect to lose Baby B since his sac is so small.
5/13 #5 (8w): Baby A grew - has arm & leg buds and even moved a little! HB was 186. Baby B grew also - HB was 164. Still told we will lose him.
5/20 #6 (9w): Baby A wiggling around. Baby B - no HB.
5/26 #7 (9w+6): Baby A is perfect and wiggly!

due: 12/23/09 - Pretty baby, don't you leave me. I have been saving smiles for you

Thanks for you replies. I know that sometimes the embryo just doesn't stick even when everything is perfect. I just need to keep positive thoughts for this next transfer.

Hey Shelly looks like we will be joining you for a second try. My beta last night was 7 so I am definitely not BFP. I have stopped meds and am waiting for AF. RE to decide which embryos to use next. I hope the second time is a charm for both of us. Thanks Maybeamommy for the encouragement!!

Joanne & Sandy - I am so sorry. I'm glad you have more embryo's to try with though. Hoping this next one works for you.

We still have not decided if we will be doing a cycle in the NYC clinic or if we will be doing it locally. There are so many factor's to consider. I will warn you though, my cycle came on really strong w/ lots of clots. My guess is the embryo tried to implant (thus my faint lines) but just didn't succeed.

Thanks for the warning Shelly!! We were really excited with the HPT's and beta 17 was low but as much as you try not to get too excited it didn't work. It was really a dissapointment when we got the results last night. I am hoping it works next time though and hopefully we will get BFP's together
Do you live near NYC??
