Bedrest after FET???

I had my 1st FET in May and my RE did not recommend bedrest. She just said no strenuous activity. Seems like most of you are on bedrest and I am curious the reasons and why my RE does not recommend it. Thanks for any insight

I'm putting myself on strict bedrest. With my IVF cycle, I was not allowed to walk up stairs, so we put a bed downstairs for me. Unfortunately, I developed OHSS and lying down was just not an option. Being hospitalized I think really did help with the whole bedrest issue. So this time around, I'm going to be even more serious about bedrest. Looks like my transfer date will be at the end of the week, so I will have several days to just lay around.

As to why different doctors say different things, not sure why. Just do what makes you comfortable. Good luck!

My doc does not require bedrest. I'm planning to just take it easy and limit lifting and no exercise. I'll be going to work, but I'm pretty sedentary there so it shouldn't be a problem. I think bedrest is mainly psychological but women really do seem to believe in it! I did take it easy after my IVF transfer two years ago and have DD as a result, so I definitely believe being gentle with yourself is important

My R/E said to take it easy...and bedrest only the first day. I listenthe first round but with round 2 and 3 I did 5 days of bedrest and I got preggo both times...I've heard there is not real evidence that bedrest helps, but it's up to you.

The thing about bedrest is this: everyone says different things about it, and clinically its not supposed to help,

...........but if you dont do it, and your cycle fails, youll always wonder if its bc you skipped the bedrest. youll always wonder if it would have made "THE DIFFERNCE" And youll and wish you'd done it.

so, while opinions may differ, I dont want regrets. I stack the deck in any way I can. Im doing two days. And my RE doesnt require or reccomend any at all.
