Nicola- great to hear from you! You must be exhausted after all that moving and making a baby to boot! I hope you are feeling well! I get cold sores as well about once a year. I think stress can bring them on. Hope yours gets better soon... they can really hurt! ing for a great healthy rise in your Beta on Wed!

Well, BFN for me. I just kind of figured it.
We are going to go into our fresh cycle as soon as AF starts.... and this will be it for us. I pray that it will work, since everything always tends to go "textbook" and the end results are the same.
Since I have some immune issues, and have had a few loses, our clinic is talking about starting intralipids.... and I know it's a bit out there..... but this is it for us. I am going to see if my RE will let me do this. I trust my RE, so it isn't even like changing clinics will help.... Embryos are good quality, I get lots of eggs for fresh cycles, last time 21 eggs, 15 fert. Most grow to blasts..... hmmm... perhaps GOD just thinks the timing will be better this time around!
Good luck everyone!! I'll be checking on you all!

Smile Keeping Positive

Hi Ladies,

Happy Monday once again (and Happy Columbus Day to everyone!).

Angie: Thank you for checking in! I do appreciate you thinking of me. I have been thinking of you too and hope you're doing well!

Jenn: Hold out hope! You don't know until your beta. Sometimes I think it's OK to get a BFN on a home test because it can prepare you for bad news, but you feel great when the news is actually good! I know I did! for your

Michaela: Thank God! I am glad you are OK! Wear a mask and gloves everywhere! (Kidding, but just sort of )

Nicola: Glad to hear you are doing well except for the cold sore. As Kay says, stress can bring it on. Maybe hormone changes can too?

AFM: I'm holding up OK. I have made a conscious effort to not be upset, crying, worried, etc...I wonder if that has an effect on my levels. I know it's not healthy for me!

I had two different friends tell me that they too did not have normal rising numbers and now have beautiful children. I am hoping I am in the 15% of women who have hCG levels that are screwy even though the pregnancy goes on to be successful. I also found this link:

Healthy Pregnancy: HCG Levels and Ultrasounds in Early Pregnancy

It basically is the ONLY link I found with any positive outlook on slow rising hCG, so of course, it's the one I choose to believe the most!

Thursday, I get another u/s to see if we can see a heartbeat. I will feel much better if we do see it, and I am relieved that DH is back to spend this time with me.

Best Wishes to all of you!

Tiffany- So sorry you got a bfn! I admire your perseverance to jump right back in there and give it a go again! I'll be cheering and praying that this next cycle is the perfect one for you!

Nicola- Glad you survived the moving. Sure that your cold sore is due to stress of everything at once, and also if you are run down/tired that adds to them appearing. Do they sell abreva there? It's an otc cream you apply that helps greatly!

Good luck to all of you who have appts. this week!

Congratulations Micheala

I had my second beta today but no result yet. I also had my weekly PIO shot. While the nurse was giving the injection she noticed an irregular mole on the top of my bum cheek and since I have a history of skin cancer she has asked me to get it checked out. So I am back to the Dr's office tomorrow!! I am waiting to hear the date for my scan but hoping its next week, will keep you posted. Funny enough my sister in law who doesnt yet know about the IVF but knows I am pregnant said she thinks I am having twins we will see ......

Kitty, thanks for posting that website link, thats really helpful for me while I am waiting for my second beta result. I didnt realise the beta rise slows down.

Tiffany, thinking of you and wishing you lots of luck for your next cycle

Got to go and collect DH from work now but will write again tomorrow.

Take care everyone

Where'd Everyone Go?

Good evening Ladies!

It's been so quiet on this board lately!

Michela: WONDERFUL beta! Congrats!!!

Nicola: I'm sure your 2nd beta will rise wonderfully! Keep us posted!

AFM: I have experienced very very light spotting the past two days on and off (mostly off today) and am due for my 2nd u/s tomorrow morning.

I believe we're expecting to see a heartbeat, but since I apparently had a late implanter, I am not so sure.

Hope everyone is doing well! Keep posting! It's lonely on here!

Nicola- Looking forward to hearing your Beta results. I have LOTS of funny moles. I get them checked every 6 months and have at least two biopsied every year. So far so good. It really is good you are getting it checked out. Want to hear about that too.

Kitty- ing for your u/s tomorrow. Don't worry about the spotting. I had that with Clara. Bleeding is VERY common in early pg.... especially with IF treatments. Let us know what you see tomorrow!

Hi Ladies,

Kitty, you are right, this thread is getting a bit lonely I can't wait to hear your story tomm about your wonderful u/s!! As Kay said, spotting is very common in the first tri.

Nicola, are you now officially back home, no more moving? Can't wait to hear about your super high second beta!!

michaela, what a whopper of a second beta!!!!!! Great news!!

AFM, well, I have news. The RE found 3 sacs at the u/s today and all are measuring right where they should be for 5w5d. We go back again in 10 days to see if that is still the case. If it is, RE wants me to reduce because of my prior loss at 20wks and the multiple fibroids. Of course I want all of my babies but I don't want to not reduce and loose all 3 of them. I can't go through another late loss like that, I don't know that I would make it. So I'm just going to try to enjoy being for now and see what happens in 10 days.
