FET after loss

Hi everyone,
I recently lost my twin boys at 18 weeks (on July 8th). We are definitely still healing, me more than my DH. I think that's normal though.
We would like to move forward with an FET, but I'm just not sure if we would be moving too quickly. Part of me wants to wait a little longer because I am still grieving, but part of me is tired of seeing everyone I know get pg. I want it to be my turn.
We met with our RE yesterday and they were looking at doing a transfer in mid-October. I'm not sure if 3 months post-partum is enough time for my uterus to heal.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? How long did you wait before moving on? What was your reason for waiting or moving forward?

Thank you for your input...

Hi Wishing - first let me say I am so sorry for your loss, I can only partially imagine how hard it is at 18 weeks.

If you take a look at my sig, you see we lost trips at 7 weeks, all with HB. I understand loss, especially after we all try so hard.

I too am tired of others around me getting pg with no thought or trying. My husband's sister got pg her first month trying and stood in my garage and smoked 2 cigarettes while pg (the week after we m/c)..and had the nerve to tell me "it's hard to quit". I told her she was selfish and didn't deserve her gift, because when you become a parent the first thing you do is give up everything for the safety and well being of your children. She didn't get it, so I choose not to speak to her right now.

Bottom line, you and DH need to agree when the time is right. As for your body, when it is ready, if your RE says it is, then it is...your mind is what needs to be ready. It is important to not go into a new cycle with any thoughts of "I don't want to be disappointed again"...have good thoughts, brings good karma.

I hope and pray you and DH will decide when it is right for you and return and face the obstacle again. As I have told many girls on other boards, we all have a path, some bumpier than others. Remember it isn't about the trip, but the destination.

Many to you and DH.

Mel
