FurBaby- Yay! A cycle buddy! I am so excited to have you (and everyone else) to share this journey with. Only 11 days until we are PUPO. When do you go for an US?

DG- No fair... you are pulling ahead of me. Just kidding! I am glad your RE is willing to work with your schedule. I wish my ET was on a Friday too. Oh well!

HRMS- You are on your way also. Sounds like you have lots of signs pointing you in the right direction. I hope all goes well for you.

AFM- I am not so patiently waiting for my US on Thursday. Fortunatley, I am a bridesmaid in a wedding tomorrow and the planning for it has occupied quite a bit of my time lately. Unfortunatley, it will all be over after tomorrow and I will have 4 long days to wait. I don't feel much of anything going on in my uterus so I am not sure the meds are working. I do feel the side effects a little (some hot flashes, very minor cramping, and a little bit of a headache every now and then) so I am hoping that it IS doing it's job. Do you all feel anything? I guess the only thing that should be happening is our lining thickening, right? Anways, wish me luck at the wedding... another bridesmaid is pg and likes to complain about every little symptom she has. A number of times I have wanted to hurt her or yell at her or something and so far I have held myself back. Today, while getting our nails done, she was saying she was going to look fat in her dress. I wanted to say "Now you listen her... my belly is just as big as yours. Only you have a baby growing in there and mine is all from drugs (and having an embryo about 11 weeks ago). Be thankful for what you have b/c you don't know how lucky you are." But I decided to keep my mouth shut b/c I wasn't sure it would have come out quite that nice It should be a fun time but I will be glad when it is over. It's been a stressful time dealing the pg bridesmaid (as well as the others for various reasons). Good thing the wedding is before my FET so all stress can be out of the way

Hi- I just completed FET last Fri. after long delay (also due to OHSS!)...am now chewing my fingernails in 2ww...This is my first IVF after several unsuccessful IUI's. The transfer itself went very smoothly...but our 3 embryos were grade 2 and 3 (1 is the highest rating at my clinic) I have read some inspiring success stories that encourage me to believe that grade doesn't mean everything...but waiting to find out is so challenging! I know I am preaching to the choir, but what an emotional rollar coaster!!!
Anyway, I am appreciative of your stories and support. Blessings to you all!

Oh Stephanie I hope the wedding went ok I hate people who do nothing but complain while pregnant. My pregnancy with DD was less than wonderful but I honestly enjoyed every last minute of it and cannot wait to be pregnant again.

It seems everyone is moving forward nicely. I should have a better idea Wednesday what exact day my FET will be. So far I am doing a natural cycle, but I may start estrace and progesterone depending on my hormone levels. I am hoping for my FET to be the 13th or 14th.

Hey everyone!!

I hope all is well with you!! Went to the RE this morning, my lining is measuring 7.1 so it is growing. I am pretty sure the transfer will be next Friday not this Friday. That is Ok with us, just another week of nerves before the dreaded 2WW. They will call me today with the results of my bloodwork and a game plan but I have a feeling it will be next week for transfer.

I am a ball of nerves right now, am trying to remain calm and positive but it is very very difficult. Just say some prayers and keep us in your thoughts.

Hi ladies, been lurking for a while not a big talker but wanted to join this board. I will be doing FET hopefully this month awaiting , stopped BCP's on 10/3 can somebody remind me how long before shows her face.Have been doing 20 units of lupron since 9/30. I had in July but miscarried at 7 weeks. Hoping this time it will stick and keep growing til 9 mos. Hope everyone is lucky here.

Ok ladies. I have been lurking for quite some time, not sure if I should join in or not..... I am hoping that I can join in even though my situation is a bit different than most. I am a surrogate mother for a lovely couple and we had a FET in August that ended up being a chemical pregnancy. I have another FET scheduled for later in October, so I was looking for some support. I saw some surrogacy specific boards out there, but just didn't connect with those groups like I feel I have connected with this one. Hoping to join you wonderful women who seem so kind and caring towards each other. Best of luck to all!

RE's office called today and they are moving my transfer up to 10:30 because some lady took her trigger shot at the wrong time so she needs to have her retrieval at the time I was suppose to have my transfer, how the heck does this happen. I mean I have read and reread and reread my info and the trigger shot is the most important how do you do it at the wrong time? Sorry I am a little stressed, my mom is coming to watch Hannah and she has to get my niece and nephews on the bus for school at 7:30 than drive to our house 25 min away. I hope she gets here so we can get to the RE's office 2 hours away on time. SERENITY NOW!! SERENITY NOW! SERENITY NOW! (I loved that episode of Seinfeld)

I just had my first pre-FET monitoring done and lining is thin. Good news so far. Del-estrogen injections started, here we go!

Hi All-I am new to this board. I just had my transfer from my first FET cycle on Monday. I am so so nervous. I did a fresh cycle in August and nothing. This time I transferred 2 - one very good quality the other "middle of the road" (the doc said---which doesn't seem very promising) I have been trying for 2 years and started fertility last year with several failed IUIs.

Hi girls!

I am anxiously awaiting my US appt tomorrow morning. It's less than 11 hours from now! : ) I hope all is going well... E2 on Monday looked good so I should be done with the Lupron and ready for the next steps. I am kind of glad b/c I was tired of convincing myself that I *could* stab myself in the stomach yet again. Sometimes it is easier than others and I don't know why. I psych myself out sometimes and have to have DH do it. And some days I can do it with no problems. I think I have issues! : ) lol Anyway, I had some CM that was a little out of the ordinary today so I emailed my coordinator to see what she thought and she just told me to mention it to Dr. A tomorrow and see what he thought. He may test it to see if I have an infection and I may have to start antibiotics but it shouldn't interfere with the FET or the outcome. (Thanks, but I wasn't worried about that until you mentioned it!) I honestly am not too worried about it. I probably wouldn't have thought anything of it if I weren't paying very close attention to my body at this moment in time. I can't wait to have definite plans finally. I have had tenative dates but it isn't the same as when you see it on the calendar and it is printed on paper.

Martie- the wedding went well! I almost lost it when the preggo chick accidently brushed her stomach across my elbow but other than that everything was fine. I made it through the ceremony by focusing on the bride (as I should have) and then the reception I steered clear of the preggo. I even had a few drinks :/ but honestly, it was only 4 throughout the whole day so I figured I was fine. I am not 'growing' the follies so I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I limited myself mainly b/c the side effects for the delestrogen listed 'increased effects of alcohol' and I didn't want to take my chances and end up trashed
- Good luck at the ET tomorrow! So exciting to be PUPO, isn't it?! And I don't know how someone could have taken the trigger at the wrong time... I am like you... constantly checking and rechecking. Ugh! Some people! I hope the timing works out for you.

sas- for the transfer on the 13th or 14th! I should be doing mine on the 14th if all goes well tomorrow.

Donna- Sorry you have to wait a week. I hope you got good news today.

babyafrica- About AF showing after stopping BCP, everyone is different but I would assume a few days to a week later. Has she showed yet? And 20 units of Lupron sounds high! I did 10 for the first week and then lowered it to 5 for the following weeks. Whew! I bet you are having some major hot flashes... I know I would be!

tab- This is a wonderful place for support. I think what you are doing is a wonderful thing. Can I ask if you have kids of your own or how you decided to become a surrogate?

My update from Tuesday's visit, everything looked good, my lining was measuring 7.1 and ovaries are nice and quiet. They upped my estrace from 3 times a day to 4 times a day. I go tomorrow (Friday) for a check and I should know then when the transfer will be which should be a week from tomorrow.

Thanks Harpjs for the welcome. I do have 2 daughters of my own. They are 5 and 7.

I just decided to be a surrogate after watching a very close friend struggle with infertility for many years. I thought, if I can't help her.... (she and her husband were not ready to begin any sort of treamtments or alternate solutions yet) Why can't I go ahead and help someone else in her situation??? And it went from there! My fabulous husband supported my decison and my children understood as much as they could and were very wonderful as well. I couldn't do it without them and the support of some new friends here!

I don't pretend to know what you ladies have to go through and the heartache that you endure, but I do wish I could help every single one of you.........But, I will settle for going through this cycle with you and wishing you all the best of luck.
