Hi Ladies,
Bad news from me today. We got a call from the nurse on the way to the clinic and she just said the Dr needs to talk to us. I immediately knew it must be that our embie died during the thaw process and cried the whole way in the car and the waiting room. That was indeed the situation. We only had 1. What a hopeless feeling I have now. It is truly so dissapointing. I am not even sure my husband wants to pursue the fertility treatments any more. It has been a long 5 years of trying and I can't really say I blame him. He doesn't want to go the adoption route either. Time will tell what happens with this one. One positive is that my RE did say that he feels so bad for us and will give me a generous discount on our next fresh cycle (if we decide to do one).
Good luck to everyone else, I will make sure to keep tabs on this thread and see all those BFP's!!

Darlings my heart goes out to you. I know although we have 3- that is still a fear of mine. Take the time to regroup and enjoy each other and then tackle what comes next. A discount on IVF would be helpful I'm sure! sending

Babyglore hope your ET went well and sending - enjoy being the Queen as DH waits on you.

AFM- bw/us went great- didn't get all the #s as I got the call right as I was leaving a meeting so I had to be a little secretive. I started PIO tongiht and actually it was not nearly as bad as I thought. I know this might change in a week...as I keep getting them. And my nurse said she will call me on Monday late afternoon, early evening to find out what time we transfer on Wed...its soo close right now. I have a busy weekend planned which includes a baby shower. I think I will be ok at the shower as she has gone through a lot to get pregnant and has had some issues including hypernemesis and was out of work like 2 months on home IV etc. and now the baby has not turned and they are having her monitor the babys movement.
Its almost her but I'm more scared than excited- it worked last time but didn't stick- what will happen this time? I know only time will tell but I find it surprising that I am scared when I know what will happen and the process.

Hope everyone has a good weekend- I'm scrapbooking in addition to the shower.

Darlings I am so sorry. Hang in there.

Welcome Furbaby- and can I just say that it is so motivating to see the pictures of your twins!

Smiley- good luck on Weds...and I hope the babyshower goes well. I won't lie, its sometimes hard to see pregnant women, I can't imagine one of my friends being pregnant while going through this, not that I wouldn't be happy for them...but you know, its just hard.

AFM- NOTHING, nada, zip. I am waiting til monday, and if AF doesn't show up by then I am calling the doctor, b/c it will have been a week late by then. I am so impatient, I just want to be pregnant already!! I have a feeling that maybe my ovaries were just on strike this past month, considering how hard the IVF cycle was on them.
Anyhow, tomorrow I am going shopping and I hope that will take my mind off of it! I haven't really allowed myself to spend much extra money lately considering how much everything is costing, but I'm kind of saying the hell with it for this weekend.

Darlings-So sorry to hear about your embie. Hopefully you can take some time and decide what's next for you.

Furbaby-Glad you joined us

Kelbel-Stupid AF. Shopping sounds good. I know the feeling of having to save save save for all of this but sometimes you have to do something for yourself. Hope you have a great day.

Ouch

Ouch! Not a big fan of these injections, now doing two in one day and one on one side and one more on the other side, is there any good way to do this? Now hobbling around with a heating pan on my bum.

We must really want this ladies!

Hoping that this works, Jess

jmotherapist- Not sure if there is an easy way for all these injectins- I have heard lots of things but here is what is working well for me. First for PIO I put the vial in my bra between the girls- this helps warm it and is an old trick from working in the lab to thaw things. Then I ice the spot on my rump for 5-10 minutes beforehand. Some people say not to do this but it helps me. Then DH "shoots" me and rubs the spot. Yesterday I used the heating pad for a few minutes afterwards but not today. Now as for my Delestrogen its such a small amount I don't do anything special. Hope something helps you. It so exciting you transfer on Monday!! I should get my time on Monday.

AFM- the baby shower was ok- a little harder than I thought as there were 2 girls and 2 boys between 10-15 months old. She is having a girl and all the pink stuff was soo cute.

Jmotherapist- Good luck on monday!!! As for the shots, when DH gave me the trigger shot I was laying down on my stomach, with my leg slighly bent and I couldnt even feel it. I know those can't be very fun..

Jmotherapist, Good Luck tomorrow... for youand all of US.

Smiley, Is true I warm it also and it works for me as well. But DH doesn't dare give me the shots he said he doesn't wanna hurt me so I do them myself.

YEAH Kelbel- so happy AF finally showed up. Now this is the last time she can visit for 10 months!!

Lizzy- so happy you are getting closer too. This is a busy week. I don't thik I could do my own IM injection unless I "had" too. I guess I could but I'm not a cotortunist (can't spell that hope you get it)

Happy Sunday ladies!!

jmotherapist-Unfortunately, besides the tips Smiley gave you, I don't know if there is much more you can do to make them better. I tried every trick in the book with the PIO and nothing seemed to help a whole lot. I think the heating pad helped it feel better at the time. I was also told not to do them before going to bed becuase then your muscles aren't working while you're sleeping and can tighten up. Maybe the tricks will work better for you.

Kelbel-Yay for AF!! (kind of weird to say that but I know how much of a relief it is How was shopping?

so sorry! Take some time and give DH time to process this set back and then maybe you can use that discount. Whatever you decide, you need a moment to breathe.
