Smiley- I was RPL befor eI had my son, they put me on alwo does asprin or lovenoz. Have they check you for NK antibodies. Are you taking dexamthesone?

Kell- Hi was on Sept board as well.

AFM- AF showed today, so I am starting BCP on Sunday. I get my calander next week. So we will see what teh plan is. I was told that FET is so muchmore laid back. SO i hope that being relaxed and being able to still ive my lifewillmake this so much easier. At least I can still excercise until transfer.

Maribeth thanks for asking! My beta is back to 0! YEAH- we are sick puppies aren't we? Also had my consult. I start bcp today! My tenative FET date is Nov 11th. My nurse suggested the 13th but I told her that was Friday the 13th- I'm not super superstitiuos but still if I don't have to I don't want to. So I suggested the 11th b/c its Veterans day and I work for the government so we are off. Then I will take Thursday off too but DH will not have to take off since he is off Wed. He did ask me tonight if I wanted him to take off anyway to pamper me! How sweet. Anyway my RE requires 24 hr bed/couch rest so I will be off Wed and Thursday and go back to work on Friday. Thought then I will try to have a light day and am having a jewlery party that night but my Mom can take care of food. Then off for the weekend. RE requires 4-5 days of light duty, no exercisse, no heavy lifting, no BD- then back to normal. But after 1 m/c don't think DH will touch me!

As for PIO vs Endometrin vag inserts. I had inserts for my fresh cycle- I got to make the choice and figured why take more injections?? Anyway they were easy to insert, have to wear a panyliner, there is some "discharge" and I think its hard to feel "clean"-sorry if tmi but just trying to help. I would use again if given the choice. Just found out from my RE that I have to use the PIO injections this time and after bfp may be able to go back to the inserts (which would be good since I have a weeks worth left over) So any suggestions on using the PIO and making it less painful and easier would be greatly appretiated. Also I must say the inserts are very portable. I had to do 3x a day until my bfp so I had to take to work and it was easy to "slip" into the bathroom. Easier than when I had to do follistim there! Also when DH and I went to the beach it was soo easy. I'm a little worried about the PIO. It is however nice I won't have as many appts. Seems like I go in on day 2 after AF comes after the bcp then I will go in for lining check and bw (so far looks like it will be Nov 6th) and then start progesterone if everything is good to go and have FET on the 11th.

If anyone has questions I'll try to help- I think I understand the process or at least what my RE does but everyone is different. Also my RE is going to thaw 2 out of 3 embryos and they will be reviewed and graded if 1 of them is not perfect then they will thaw the other 1 we have. She said the thawing process does not take long. She said that my chances are about 40% given my age, their new freezing process (vitrification? I think I have read about it) and given they will transfer 2 embryos. Just this will do it for us!...all of us ladies!

we must have been posting at the same time...please excuse me I had a crazy day but what is RPL? I was on baby asprin and am staying on it throught FET. They have not checked me for anything else. As far as we know we just have MF IF. But you never know. I'm hoping this m/c was just one of those statistics. I did not have to take anythingelse- the physical m/c happened naturally. It was a lot worse than any AF I have ever had. And not to share too much but I could tell it was different by the bleeding etc. Heres to I was just a bad statistic and the FET will go off without a hitch and with a BFP that sticks for 9 more months!!

Hi everyone - Hope I can join this thread. I just had a failed IVF cycle - another of the "we don't know why it didn't work" club. The only good news is I have two frozen embies, both blasts. I am going to do a natural FET in mid November, and would love to have some moral support.

By the way, did anyone else have a hellish right after their failed fresh IVF? I am glad that is over! Here is to a successful transfer for all of us!

Smiley- RPL Is repeat pregnancy loss testing. However if this is your first one then they prob wont test. RPL testing is for 3 or more m/c

I just looked at my prev post and it was horrible. I am sorry if it was hard to read. Who knows what state of mind I was in. LOL

AFM- Dr.T sent me an e-mail stating that he wanted me to get a hysterocsopy(sp). So I am scheduling that next week when I get my calendar.

Hey Lilmarcosmom! I'm sorry it didn't work out for you last month, but glad to see you here...I hope your hysteroscopy goes well, will they do that far in advance before transfer?

Lizzy- sounds like we are in the same boat with not making it to fresh transfer...but holy smokes, 17 embryos! Did you do ICSI? They would only ICSI 18 of my eggs b/c of labor time for the lab, and just froze the rest of the good eggs. Thats great though, you'll never have to do another IVF cycle again!

AFM-So I'm starting to recover from the OHSS finally. I gained a total of 8 lbs in less than 6 days from it, all water weight in my tummy, I still look completely pregnant, but I felt great today, so Im hoping by monday I will be 100% back to normal.
Also a great surprise today, I talked to the nurse at my RE's office to check in with how I was doing, and she told me that they ended up freezing an additional 4 embies, 2 blast and other two almost blast. I almost cried I was so happy. I was still very happy with the original 4 in the freezer, but to hear that the other 4 made it was music to my ears. So that is my silver lining from the horrible experience that IVF #1 (and hopefully only one) was!

Well I finally got AF yesterday. Never thrilled to see her but I was glad because now I know that we will likely get to do a November FET. I was sort of wondering how the timing was going to go if she decided not to come for a while. So, here's hoping for the FET mid November and good news by Christmas

Well that's great to hear that you have 4 more. And no ICSI. So I got my AF on 9/28 and strted my BCP on 9/30 and I should be getting my protocol by mail.
So far FET on Friday Nov 6. and thank good don't have to miss no work day's. I pray every day that this will be our month.. FOR ALL OF THE LADIES...

Hi Ladies
It took me so long to get back online. Starting my pill again last week and I swear it sent me to feeling low very fast. Feeling a bit better now.

Maribeth: They are starting me on the PIO (injection?) I guess in less than 2 weeks. I had the suppositories, they were ok, kind of yucky you could say, not my favorite. I will take the injections now once every 3 days, I am assuming that is standard.

Like you all, we have no idea why things didn't work out, especially after our MD stated that we had a "picture perfect cycle", yikes, never say that to two eager to be parents, LOL!

We are dragging in spirits but looking forward to the next few weeks of doing things again. We chose this time to do two embryos and in total have 6 frozen embryos so hoping that out of those, we will have two good ones, missed you all!

Lilmarcosmom - I'm sorry your cycle didn't work out. I remember you and Kelbell from the September thread also. We're in this together. Hang in there and lets hope November is our month. Until then have a glass of wine and live a litte. I'm sure trying to. I'm supposed to wait for AF to start BC pills again and that should be this weekend... When are you scheduled to start?
