I kind of feel bad intruding on your group, but would love to stay, if you don't mind.
My FET is scheduled for Dec 4th.
Almost too early to be in December thread, and too late for November. I tried to start up a 'tweener' thread, but I don't think it's going to catch on.
I just finished up IVF #4 and had to freeze all due to OHSS. That has been my case each and every cycle for the same reasons.
I'm hoping to get some great news to celebrate over Christmas!
Right now we have 23 embryos frozen at day 1 (my RE was thinking it would be better to freeze early, thaw, and watch them divide AFTER the thaw, for a more 'fresh' cycle experience. We are thinking we'll get appx 6-8 embabies out of the lot). We also have 2 great frozen blasts, and 2 not so great embryos frozen.

I'm wishing everyone great luck and hope to celebrate BFP's together!

My RE suggested it and they are med. field all the way...and if you read on the success threads it seem that for some that's the only thing they changed. I checked for Acc's that specialized in infert. and I know the benefits are accumulative, so I'd do what you can afford, I don't love needles esp after IVF but if I'm doing this and it can help, I'll do it... there are also specialized varieties of massage that can help. I think both procedures improve circulation...who knows we step out in faith and we try anything. Best!

MRB- I have been thinking about accupuncture but I am not sure if the cost will be a strain on my budget. I am going to crunch the numbers and see what I can do.

I have been doing acupuncture for about 3 months. It is wonderful for being relaxing, I have more energy, and there is some amazing research about it helping with fertility. Herbs are helpful as well. That being said, my first IVF was not very successful, so who knows. I think if you have a very experienced, very well trained acupuncturist it can only help.

Be careful, infertility is the "in" thing to specialize in for acupuncturists, so make sure they have a lot of experience, not just a seminar they took!

Anytime- saw what you wrote about vitrification- that is the process my RE office uses. She also said that the success rates and thaw rates were much better with this method and thye just started doing that exclusively less than a year ago with great results! Hope that helps me. RE gave me 40% chance with age, and 2 blasts. Hope thats enough. Actually our fresh IVF worked...it just didn't stick.

Stillwaiting you are welcome to stay. I know I will stick around till the end for all!

AFM- started week 2 of bcp (out of 3) - just plugging away. Did get bill for DH's sperm aspiration procedure fromthe IVF. Ouch. I was hoping that insurance would pickup more but I knew they would not. We have gotten 3 seperate bills and are up to around 1200-1400. The worst part is it didn't work for us! THe good thing is the Dr said he "hit the motherload" and so after my eggs were fertilized we stil have 5 vials in storage. So I have to take the good witht he bad- we pay out of pocket for most everything-at least we can do it. We just have a lot of debt!!!

Have a good night ladies!

I remember you from the September thread. It's really great that you have 23 frozen embies. That gives you more opportunity. Hang in there and stay on a support thread no matter what. No one in our real lives really understand what we're all going through so at least we have this forum to turn to.

Hi ladies,

I was just wondering if I may join you for your Nov FET cycle! I'm not sure, yet, when my FET will be, but I just found out Wed that this 1st IVF cycle ended up failing and we want to get back up on that horse and continue our journey!

We go in on Monday for our "return" visit and talk with the RE about that cycle and what our options are. We have 3 totsicle blasts and are hoping we can have a success ful FET soon! It may end up being the actual FET is early Dec, but i'd like to join you here for now if that's OK?

THANK YOU, and tons of for everyone! and it's nice to see some familiar "faces" in here!

Meg!! We don't love the reasons we've moved over here but it's so nice to have an awesome group of ladies!

Here's to going from frosties to babies by Christmas!!!

AFM: Had my first acupuncture appt. today! Not bad now I know what to expect! I'll never love needles but honestly my PEO lumps feel much worse than all those teeny tiny needles. Also my hair stylist reccommended maybe laying off the hair color for next cycle. I'm a dark brunette. So I'm either switching to henna for hair or going gray for awhile. Hey if I can give up coffee and chocolate... I can be a little rootsie..until the 2nd trimester...then maybe I'll be comfortable with semi-permanent....also found on another thread that most nail polish has formaldehyde except for some lorel....so on the note of being hyper- cautious, I'll be taking my own polish if I get a pedi.

I've been doing acupuncture for a while now. I agree with you about the needles. If it wasn't to achieve my goal, I'd never go again. But, not as bad as I would have thought.
I never knew that about nail polish! Now I'm off to Mr Google.
