November FET

I guess it's a bit early, but I thought I'd see if anyone else is planning to do a FET this November. We did a fresh IVF in Feb/March which was a bust. I thought I'd be ready for a FET in June, but was still upset, so I decided to just enjoy the summer and live like a "normal" person . I called to set up my FET for October, but the clinic is closed then for a couple weeks, so November it is! We have 3 embies waiting for us and this will probably be our last try due to finances...and the emotional turmoil of it all. I am hoping this will be a success and we'll have a little one in August - that seems to be a lucky month for us: it's when we met, got married, and got our dog.

Hello,
It looks like we're in for a November FET. We did our first round of IVF in July. Unfortnately it ended with an ectopic pregnancy. I had to have the methotrexate shot on August 11 so we have to wait 3 months after that to do the transfer. Disappointing to have to wait but it's giving us some to heal and you Barbara, it's giving me some time to be normal for a little while. We have 6 frosties-not sure how many we'll transfer. I have an appointment with RE on Sept. 10 and will hopefully find out more info then.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone

Hi ladies, may I join you? I'll be doing FET in November, want to take a break for couple of months after my failed IVF. Hope that FET will be a success since it's much easier on the body, without all those crazy meds and painful ovaries. I had OHSS during IVF cycle and now wonder if it contributed to the negative outcome. Looking forward to share our FET experiences in November .

Glad to see our little group is growing so we can all support each other. I am hoping we will be in early November so it doesn't interfere with DH's deer hunting!
Is everyone starting BCP? I'm supposed to start in October.

Hi Everyone,
Well, we're officially on the schedule for November. Met with RE on Thursday and we got things figured out and paid to get on the schedule. Sounds like it should be quite a bit easier than our fresh round...physically that is. I'm excited to do it but I'm also extremely nervous after what happened this time around. It'll definitely be interesting. Hope you all are doing well and I'm sure things will really be hopping around here in a few months

how is everyone doing? I spoke my my RE yesterday and I start BCP this Sunday. We are scheduled for our FET on 11/10. I'm off work 11/11 for Veteran's Day so I'll have 2 solid days of rest. With IVF #1 I rested the day of ET but went to work the following day. Don't know if that had impact on the BFN, but this time I'm going to take it easier. 11/10 is also my brother's bday, so hopefully that will bring us luck.

Take care everyone!

Looks like I am in for Nov too. I had my first IVF with transfer the begining of September- it ended in m/c just before 5 weeks. Still trying to heal but feel like we must go on. We started IUIs in Jan so its been a while. I have to go for my last beta on wed to make sure its at 0 and consult with RE. We will be transferring 2 this time- hopefully- I have 3 frozen 5day blasts that were "perfect". This all seems so far away just like it did with IVF. I am hoping for better resutls- just don't understand why things go wrong. It seems like you are given the world and its taken away as quickly. Ok sorry no negative thoughts. Hope to give and recieve lots of advice/support!! Will update when I know more about my schedule- hopefully next week.

smiley - sorry about your loss last cycle. We also have 3 frozen blasts that actually made it to 6 days. I was told that the 2 are good and 1 is excellent. There is no way I would put back just one again, so I am leaning towards 2 or all 3. They are very hesitant to do all 3, but they said we can thaw them all and see what the quality looks like. My last cycle was "perfect" as well, and it was not such a perfect outcome. It is frustrating, but I feel more positive and relaxed this time. Best of luck to you!

Thanks Barbara- hope we both have better outcomes next time around. Its so hard-there are soo many variables and so much beyond our control. I only transferred 1 the first time and in retrospect wished I had done 2. This time we will 2 also-not sure if they will thaw all 3 and use the best 2 or what-thanks for mentioning, I will have to ask that question. AF arrived so tomorrow will count as cd1 and I will call and guess I will start bcp but maybe not till wed when I go for last beta. I exercised today and yesterday on my elliptical and it felt so good! DH and I want to go on a bike ride too but it was raining so hopefully we can before it gets cold- another thing I wouldn't do while in 2ww.
DH and I have decided if we have to wait and be on bcp we have plenty of time to enjoy the month of October- haunted houses, trails, and Halloween! Might sound childish but we both like it and I just saw a haunted place an hour and a half away so we will go and will hit all the ones around us. If I were pregers or in 2ww I would not go so I might as well enjoy! But then again can't wait to get the show on the road!

I know its early but wishing all of us good luck!!

FET in November

Hi All,
I am thinking to go for FET this November. I had a failed IVF this August Its too much an emotional and financial circle. I fall under unexplained fertility so trying everything I can. I had 3 IUI cycles, must say 2 as the third one was cancelled as my ovaries became too big.
I am trying accupuncture and herbal medicines from this month. Hopr this will help. Don't know wat else should try. Any suggestions..........
Please keep writing. it really helps when any other thing doesn't.
Take care
Sherley

Unhappy

Hi ladies! Great to see that this group is up today. We just did our first IVF cycle this past month and it was a bust. I think that once they told us that it was a "picture perfect cycle" we knew somehow that we were doomed. We had one embryo put in last time and ended up with 6 frozen embryos and are going again asap. I think that brings us to November.

We don't know alot about the FET do you all? I know that now I am going on the pill and am so glad that there is alot less stress on the body. We are also thinking about going with 2 this time. Feeling sad but don't want to stop.

Jess

PS how were you all able to post all of your treatments etc?

Hi TTGP
Hang in there, I hear you. We have just done a round of IVF and now are jumping back into a FET cycle. Not sure how we will come up with the finances but we keep thinking, do we have a choice, NO.So we are moving ahead to get what we want. It is difficult, upsetting and angering too.
I am doing accupuncture too and have been through my first cycle, it was very relaxing and oh yes, had the teas also, althought it did not work and was alot of money I know that it was the best thing for my body in the end. Keep talking and we will keep listening.
Jess
