Hi All,

I've taken a bit of a hiatus for the past while from here but I'm back cause we are hoping to do an FET this fall sometime (still waiting on an appointment with RE to set things up). Anyways, we have 4 snowbabies - 2 are 5 day and 2 are 3 day embabies. I'm wondering if anyone has thawed different day embabies together and had success? Will they even do a transfer with, say, one 3-day and one 5-day if that is what ends up making it? I am starting BCPs right away since I'm assuming that is what the protocol will require and I want to get a head start on this. I'm hoping for October but we'll see how things go. Any words of wisdom? Thanks!

Hi NurseSunshine.
I am in the same situation as you. My RE starts with the 3 days if they make it to 5 day, he just uses those embies. If they don't, he will then work with the 5 day.

If you want to transfer 2, and only 1 of your 3days make it, then yes you could have one of each. However, they would both be aged the same amount of days. Hope this makes sense.

Carla im in the same boat we have one froozen on day 6 and the rest on day 7 . so we were going to defrost 6 of them and transfer my lonely 6 day and the other day 7's and hope for the best and transfer all that make the thaw ... the rest of the dec due date mommies are transfering too .. for the most part .. we might get to be due date buddies again good luck ttys ~ are the munchkins feeling better ?

Yay!! Jersey so good to see you here The babes are doing much better - thanks for asking! That would be wonderful if we were all due date buddies again!!! When are you doing your transfer? We have a consultation appt for oct 5 so we'll know more after that. I would have loved to have good news to spread for Christmas... although honestly I'm not all that optimistic about my snowbabies. I really hope they stick but who knows!

Hi there, I don't have answers for you regarding your embies, as mine were all frozen at day 3. I just wanted to wish you luck at your appointment, hopefully you'll be getting the ball rolling as well. It's nice to see a fellow twin mommy taking the plunge again. I was starting to think I was crazy

im in limbo really we had a m/c soo i had to wait for af and she wasnt showing up so we induced her i had cd2 bw last wk , so were taking it from there prob end of oct begin of nov.. but my re doesnt think they'll make it so we'll defrost 6 and hope for the best you should join us on the other side in AFTER FERTILITY TX .. IN THE FALL FET SECTION..are you staying up north for the transfer or going on vaca again ? keep in touch!!!
