pain during 2ww - is this normal?

Hi all,

I am new to this site and this is my first thread. I started my 1st cycle of IVF in April, i was unable to have a transfer after my embryos were removed as I developed OHSS. I have had to wait until now to have a FET.

I had my first natural FET of 2 embryo's last week. I am now 7dpt. I have had some mild cramping since 3dpt. Although I have had a pain in my right ovary since yesterday evening. I am really worried now, I stupidly done a home pregnancy test today which was . My beta is not until the 28th so I have another 10 days to go. I assume it is way too early to do a test but I am just so worried that this pain is a bad sign. I know the cramping is normal but should you experience an ache in your ovary.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Mel,

Don't be scared...I hear that sometimes cramping/pain is a good thing...implantation, maybe?

I just wanted to answer because it's lonely out there...I wish I could say, "Yes that is good news!" or something. But I really don't know.

The one thing I've learned throughout this is that everyone is different. You need to keep positive and try to rest. Of course, calling your doc is always good too if you're concerned.

Hang in there until your Beta. The wait is torture, believe me, I know.

And put down those sticks...they will mess with your mind!

Just wanted to let you know you're not alone and we're all here!

Hi kittykat,

Thanks for the advice and kind words, thankfully I did not buy anymore tests and won't be!

Yes your right, this 2ww has to be the worst part. I am lucky that I have taken the time off work to rest as I have a very physial job, but sitting at home makes you think about it more.

Anyway I am halfway there so I have everything crossed for the 28th..
