Nervous about the thawing process...

Hey girls. I was wondering if any of you could share your FET stories? I would really appreciate it. I am getting so nervous about everything. My transfer is in 8 days! I am trying to trust in God's plan and have faith that this is going to work...but I'm getting nervous about my embabies thawing out. We have 3 frozen babies, one is "excellent", one is "good" and one is a little poor. We will transfer all that survive the thaw. Any encouragement?

THANKS!

fet

I had fet on 9/25/09, I was also nerveous about thaw, they say it is rare but hey a lot of rare things happen in my life. My two frosties survived and maintained their quality, I was told they were beginning to hatch which is good. So now I am waiting for my pregnancy test on 10/05. Good luck to you

Hey Amy - Mine thawed perfectly both times. The lab wasn't at all worried about it. I asked a million questions & they just kept telling me it was going to be fine & it was. I'm sure your frosties will be great.

I just had a failed ivf cycle 2 weeks ago and it's hard to deal with. RE tells us we can wait for my next AF and begin an FET cycle if I'm ready which we are. We also have 3 frosties and I too am worried they will not be viable for transfer. I'm trying not to think about it right now and just give my body a break for a couple weeks until I start AF, but it's good to know that this is working for some people. Wish you all the best of luck.

I was really scared too and only had 2 frozens, and they both thawed beautifully and 1 took! If your RE has good freezing techniques and a good FET rate, I wouldn't be concerned one bit!

Amy how exciting! You're so close to being prego again! A few years ago we did an FET with only 1 blast. I was worried we'd have problems with the thawing process but it thawed perfectly. I didn't end up getting pregnant, but that was because of poor egg quality likely, looking back. So if my little embie can come out fine, you're in great shape with three!!! Good luck!

Ara,

I wish you all the best! We had three embies that were frozen when we did our FET and I too was extremely scared (We always had a LOT of embies during fresh cycles and so many died off each time) Our RE told us about 1/2 usually survive, so she felt we would have 2 on the day transfer. Sure enough we thawed 3 we had 2 to transfer. One lost 1/2 the cells, so they said wouldn't work to transfer. One of the two they transferred had already started dividing again, so it made us excited. Of course we will never know which of the two that stuck was the one, but my hubby and I think it was the one that was starting to divide. Good Luck! Don't stress too much All it takes is ONE. We had a couple ladies who did FET with me in April and they only had one to transfer and they are now where I am expecting.

Good Luck!

Lewlou Good Luck!

Kaylynnsmom Good Luck to you too!

Furbaby Good Luck this October!

how developed our your embies? day three or five? day five thaw just a tiny bit less well than day three. We had three pretty good day fives and one day six. One of the day fives didnt make the thaw so we had to use the third to get two to transfer. They said neither was A quality, they were both B's. It only goes to C so I didint think it would work. But you know, it did, and now Im going on 15 weeks with twins! we are so excited!

And I am so excited for you!! good luck.
