FET tweeners... late November/early December

My FET is scheduled for Dec 4th.
Almost too early to be in December thread, and too late for November. Anyone with me?

I just finished up IVF #4 and had to freeze all due to OHSS. That has been my case each and every cycle for the same reasons.
I'm hoping to get some great news to celebrate over Christmas!
Right now we have 23 embryos frozen at day 1 (my RE was thinking it would be better to freeze early, thaw, and watch them divide AFTER the thaw, for a more 'fresh' cycle experience). We also have 2 great frozen blasts, and 2 not so great embryos frozen.

I'm wishing everyone great luck and hope to celebrate BFP's together!

I go back to the RE probably in two weeks but I am assuming that he will make me wait another 4 before my FET.

But I am hoping that I will be in the late November/early December group.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I hope the pain heals soon and we'll be able to have a go at this together.

FET-tweeners!!

Love the name!!! Yes, I too should be doing an FET around the 7th of Dec. This would be a great forum for us gals that are "a little different"... ha ha ha!!! It seems like a long time away from now but I think it will be here before we know it. The holidays always sneak up on you, right??? So since we're not only concentrating on all that the holidays has in store but also trying to get preggo...this should be the fastest holiday season EVER!!! Especially when we all wind up with BFP's!!! What a tremendous and awesome Christmas miracle and gift this will be! Positive thoughts ladies, positive!!! We will get pregnant this Dec!!!!

Stillwaiting- Thank you for the kind words.

I am looking foward to putting this all behind us and trying again. I have about one more week of bc pills and then I call the RE when my period arrives. I am assuming that he will want me to wait another cycle which I am fine with.

Great news though that there is a board for us tweeners Everytime I write that I get a smile on my face.

Robynanne - Even after all this time dealing with IF. It still amazes me how exciting getting AF can be. It's like a clean slate, being able to move forward again. Even my DH is happy to hear when AF visits (yes, we're a sick bunch of people )
One more week of bcp for you! I don't know how you feel, but I hate those little pills. For no other reason than it makes my face break out like a 15 year old girl! And my in-laws want a family portrait for Christmas... uggg. I'll be looking all nice, pretty, and polka-dotted

Just wondering... who all here has done FET before?
This is my third attempt (Third Time's a Charm!)

I've created a calendar on previous threads. It was an easy way to keep track of everyone and their appointments, milestones, etc. If you are interested, I've created one for our group. (I've never been very good at those long lists, if any one else can keep track of that, be my guest)

tweener_fet: October 2009

You click on the date that you want. Hit 'Create'. Write your screen name and what event or appointment is happening that day. 'Color Select' a background color to make your info stand out. (you can even create pop ups or links)

I will not be hurt/offended if anyone wants to start one of those long lists instead. Again, I'm just not very good at creating them.

Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

I also hate talking the pilsl but I was worried that it would take me forever to get my period after this whole thing and like you said... a period is clean slate.

I have done FET with other RE last December. This will be my first FET with the good RE and I only have one blast to transfer. If this does not work, we will be back to IVF probably early next year. I asked my RE about the chances with just one and he said that his success rates with frozen are the same as a fresh cycle.

I am trying to be optimistic but it is hard. Knowing that I have just one is somewhat discouraging.

Those success rates sound AWESOME! This is going to be your time, I just know it!!!
How great that your frozen embaby is at blast stage!

Just know, I was looking at FET success stories recently, there are wonderful stories (two just on the last page!) that had only one embaby transferred. One story is 1 embryo transferred that resulted in TWINS!

i'd love to join your tweener group As you can see in my signature we had a failed IVF in August and are trying naturally through October while we save up $$ for the FET. and that we somehow overcome our male fertility and get a this month....I know, I'm a big dreamer
Anyway, in all likelihood i'll be starting BCP the first week in November . BUT, the caveat is that my cycle is all screwed up from IVF so I don't really know when to expect ....last month it was a 42 day cycle with ovulation seemingly on day 26.Now this month, according to my OPK I had a positive today which is only cd 12!! Anyone else have crazy cycles after a fresh IVF cycle?
