August 2011 Fet

Ladies. We will attempt our 2nd FET the first half of August with our meds starting in the middle of July.

Wondering if there is anyone else out there who is doing the same and would like to be cycle buddies. Looking forward to those and if it's a then we will be here for those, too!

Hi!

It looks like we'll be on a similar schedule. I have a hysterosonogram and mock transfer (again) set for next Thur. and then just waiting for to appear and then transfer is hopefully Aug 8th or 9th. It will be another ride on this crazy roller coaster. Fingers crossed for us all!

Yay! I agree about the roller coaster. At least it's just the transfer and not the meds.

If this next FET doesn't stick we will probably do a fresh IVF cycle again. I'm just worried about the response we will have because I will be 2 years older than the last.

Its funny how when we age our choices change. DH and I only wanted one from the start. Now I'd like to have 4. It's so unfair that we don't possess an endless amount of eggs, but they get to keep producing sperm until they kick the bucket!

I just wish I was pregnant with a big belly already! I don't know about you, but I LOVED being pregnant! I wanted a big belly. Just a Big belly full of baby though!

Enough of me rambling. Feel free to chat any time, Katie. Good luck with .

Hi Lisa!

. Most happy to have you with us.

You will find that the FETs are less stressful than the retrievals! You can still obsess about stuff but it's not as bad as... "how many follies?, what are their sizes, etc".

Time is flying and I really want to enjoy the summer. With trips planned I know it will make it pass quick, but I really need to focus on enjoying every day I have with my daughters. I've noticed that I can get so caught up in "trying for another one" that i don't focus as much on the ones we already have.

Well have a nice weekend and feel free to chat anytime!

Hi Ladies, mind if I join you? I'm not where I fit in, but August is when I'll have my 2ww. I just went through my first failed IVF in May. I'l l be starting meds in July and should have my FET either the last day or so of July or 1st day of August, depending on AF. I have 6 frozen embies awaiting! I go for my WTF apt on June 7th. You can see my signature, but I have Crohn's disease and wonder if I also have immune issues because of it...I'm definitely going to ask the Dr.

If anyone has any advice at all it's totally appreciated! Good luck everyone

Question about FET

Hi All,

I have been stalking these boards for months, but have never offically joined....until yesterday. Hearing everyone's stories has been so inspiring and supportive. It's nice to know there are others who feel just as deveated and discouraged.

I did my first IVF transfer on 5/23 and got a .

I am set to start my meds for my FET 21 days after my AF...due any day now. And implant again (this time hopefully 2 vs 1) in mid July.

Question...why are you waiting until August to do FET? Is it up to you or your RE?

I am that it works this time. We are running low on $ and desperately want a baby of our own (I'm remarried).

Roxey,
We'd love to have you on board with us! So sorry about your IVF. stink! FET's are much easier on your body. DH will be thankful!

Toni4veka in April 2011 FET can give you lots of insight on immune issues. She is now pregnant with twins after a failed IVF because of them.

And now we are 4 in this group! Katie, Lisa, Roxey & Wendy. for those in August.

Muah!

Heart

Lizzy,
I am so sorry about your babies. I'm truly saddened by your loss. With losses I've never been able to understand why they ever have to happen. Just know that God is there, even when we can't understand things.

All of us welcome you with wide, open arms and we will be here giving you lots of encouragement through your FET.

We have now become The Faithful Five! Katie, Lisa, Roxey, Lizzey & Wendy.

Warmly,
Wendy.

Hi Abbey!
It's August for us b/c we have plans to travel throughout the summer. I wasn't about to cancel them as they are good ones! Or we would have been a June transfer.

Have you looked into the shared risk program or the one that will refund your money if you don't get your baby? NFET's cost much less than the IVF's.

I'll be thinking of you so keep us updated on your transfer! And if you fall into our group we will most certainly throw a big, warm your way.

So I got my Beta results and they are on the 200's i know my levels dropped super fast but I just wanted it to be zero, when I lost my twins my beta was 89000 plus and by tuesday they were already 14000's why if it dropped so fast at the beginning why did it slow down at the end?

I spoke to the nurse and she said I still have a while to go she mention something about after my beta is zero they will do something called Primaphilia????for a month I dondt know if I spelled it right has anyone hear of it? I really thought I could do it in August but she said that no maybe like 3 months from now I was sad before but now im on the dumps.
Oh and on top of that no sex till beta is negative? WTH

Lizzy,
When i had a miscarriage my number on 1st beta was almost 400. 3 days later 57, 4 days later it was 5. I wondered then why it was taking so long. Very frustrated.

I believe because you were 10 weeks that they recommend you wait a minimum of 3 months. My friend was 13 when her ultrasound showed no heartbeat and she was told to wait at least 3. I'm so sorry.

Hormones are crazy and a fresh cycle is very hard on us. You will find the FET easier and I believe you will have a healthy pregnancy because of it.

Don't sign off from us just yet, okay! Keep us updated on what your docs say and the tests.

Warmly, Wendy

Do I fit in here?

Hi Ladies, As I mentioned above, I am tentatively set to transfer in mid to late July. I am actually considering changing my vacation plans to do the ET in late July as opposed to waiting one more cycle. I am off for the summer with my job and can't take anymore time when I start back up. I had to take a lot of time off in May to do IVF #1 that ended in . I have 11 snowbabies so I am hoping that they are good. I will met with RE in a little over a week to go over potential reasons for failure. I may tag along on your board if you all don't mind?

Thanks for the tip on the shared risk program. We didn't do it the first time, because all cards were in our favor and we were overly (and stupidly) optomistic that it would work on try #1. Boy, do I feel foolish . We had to do TESA because my DH had a vasectomy and paid further for PGD hoping the eggs would be good.

At my ET, they said the egg was already hatching and looked great an my lining was "perfect." I guess not so much.

I am so scared to do it again.....but I will keep trying!!!
Abby

Welcome Abby

Hey Abby. These threads are about support! I started it with the impression that only people who were transferring in August would want to join because other threads are that way.

However, I start my and monitoring in July so it doesn't matter to me if your transfer is in August or SePtember or December! You are welcome to join us! We will be here to support what your feeling and give the best advice.

In other words... Yes! We'd love to have you, if you would have us!

And don't beat yourself up over choices! Schedules sometimes stink and this is a learn as you go process.

Also, I requested if we could get ours to hatching stage for transfer and my RE told us that be prefers them to still be in the shell because they are stickier and harder to transfer when they aren't. Harder meaning stickier in the transfer tube. Just something to think about.

I'm looking forward to observing your progress! Abby
