Hi everyone,
On the day of my first u/s my RE informed me of different tests to screen a pregnancy/baby for chromosomal abnormalities:
1. CVS/chorionic villus sampling which is done @ 11 weeks.
2. An amnio, in which a needle is inserted through the abdomen to drw fluid for testing @ 16 weeks.
3. Non innovassive test called first trimester screen or BUN done @11 weeks. Blood test and u/s measurements.
My RE informed me of these tests because of my age 35. Has anyone done any of these tests or have some advice? Do I really have to do the tests? Please help.
I have one week left for progesterone. Prayers to all of us.
