Thanks so much for your well wishes. It seems like a fight just to get here. I almost feel like I got a just having my lining. Then I think ohh yeah this is not over- the big part comes next. I'm walking around scared of every little cramp type feeling and I'm full of estrogen. Next week I'll be in tune to every little symptom. CRAZY!!!

Kari- How are you feeling? How long did you take off?

Does anyone else do progestrone vaginally?

Good luck tomorrow Limey. Once they start thawing embryos it begins to feel real!

Last month I took a 4 day weekend to relax, but this month I just took Tuesday off since I'm running out of vacation days from all of these appointments. My RE says to avoid exercise and sex for a few days, but other than that I can follow my normal routine. I'm feeling pretty normal. And if I do start feeling twinges and cramping I'm going to remind myself it's probaby the effects of the progesterone injections. I'm really trying not to get my hopes up this month - it just made things worse last time. Though, I know I'll be getting more nervous as Sept. 27 draws near.

Good Luck today Limey and Carina- I hope everything goes well for you today and wishing you and more !!!!

Crista- You are getting close- Have you been tempted yet to test?

Kari- I will just be taking off Tuesday, the day after the ET too. I teach school and I'm sure the parents are starting wonder what is going on with their child's teacher.

Tanya- I'm pulling for your lining- I know first hand what a hurdle that can be. Will 9/26 be your first check?

Today I start the rest of the meds- doxy, medrol and prometrium. I still won't believe it until Monday afterwards and then the dreaded wait. At least at that point what's done is done!!!

It's funny how all of our RE's are so different. I was told after my FET on Tuesday that I can resume normal activity immediately, but that I had to refrain from sex for 12 weeks (still haven't decided if that's good or bad ).

TGIF!!!

Well my previous RE told me to just resume normal activity. We changed doctors, so this will be our first time with the new one. I did take a half day so I can go right home after the ET and then I will have the rest of the weekend to just relax.
I'm pulling for all of you!!

You guys have been busy! It is exciting to hear about all of the progress!!

Yes.........I did temp. And it was a BFN. I feel absolutely nothing so I am sure it is correct. Tomorrow we find out for sure. The hard part is that we will never know why it didn't work.

I think we'll take some time off and do a fresh cycle in February.

I realy really hope one of you gets a BFP!!! I need to hear som positive news!!!!

This has been a busy week for lot of us! Wishing everyone who had ETs lots of

My RE recommends two days of "down time" (as she calls it) after the ET...no heavy lifting, limited activity, etc. Gina, being a fellow teacher, I can relate to what you said about what must the parents be thinking??? Luckily, I'm able to schedule most of my bloodwork/US bright and early before school, and my school has been gracious enough to let me sneak in 5 minutes before the kids get there, as opposed to 30 min. before the kids get there. It will be hard missing 3 days of school this week because of the ET, but life has to come before work right now.

My RE has me on both the P4 injections AND the suppositories (yuck..so messy!)

Lots of +++ vibes coming to those in the 2WW and I'm for those awaiting transfers soon!

Kris

I am on such a rollercoaster ride! I had some light pink spotting this evening. I noticed since I've been wearing a panty liner because of the progestrone. I called the Dr and they said that it is nothing to worry about. It could just be cervix irratation. Okay I feel somewhat relieved but nothing to worry about- ohh that's so easy. I'm obsessed with checking now. Monday can't come soon enough!

Crista- I am so sorry, but good luck still for tomorrow. You never know!

Kris- I have been lucky this year because I am team teaching. I am able to leave and not worry about a sub. I'm taking off Monday and Tuesday if all goes well!

Another September FET Sister!

Hello Everyone... I'm a newbie, too. It feels like I am in the right place. My fertile friends just don't get this stuff... Never have.

I just had my FET on the 18th also (must be a popular day!). RE transferred two blasts. One she said looked "good." The other one, well, not so much. She didn't say why it wasn't as good, and frankly, on transfer day, I didn't want to ask!

I'll try to give my backstory in a nutshell: DH and I tried to conceive for 2 years on our own. We started with RE in April of 2003. I had two failed IVF cycles, and DH and a testicular biopsy and varicoclectomy during that time. My first cycle was a total nightmare. I hyper-stimmed BIG time and had severe internal bleeding from the ER. Despite that, I still had ET on day 3. Needless to say, my body was not ready for all that.

In April of 2005, on our last IVF attempt, (DH had PESA procedure same day of ER), I became pregnant! We had our DD in January of 2006. She definitely makes all of the difficult times we had worth it (and then some!). I think that if I have a BFN this time, it won't seem nearly as awful as my first two cycles.

DH and I already have an approved international home study, and we had planned on adopting childern even before the IF stuff. So if this doesn't work, my first call will be to our agency to start the process. One way or another, we should have a new family member next year!

I've been very surprised at my strong feelings for having a second child. It's not like before when *nothing* was going our way, but my desire is still as strong. A basic human function--like reproduction--when it doesn't work--is very discouraging. Especially when I see TONS of unqualified parents out there! GRRRRR! It definitely goes in the "life isn't fair" category.

Getting back to this FET... We only told 2 people (family members). I just didn't want everyone knowing when the "news" would come. Ick. I did just buy 4 dollar store HPTs today. I think I'll start testing on Thursday. My Beta is scheduled for October 1st. Believe me, if AF comes, I am NOT doing my Beta. I did that on my first cycle. I just don't need that phone call when I know that I'm not pg.

Question: Did any of you have any weird feelings after the transfer? I had some "cramping" (felt more like tightness, actually) the day of and day after. I feel absolutely nothing now. A little tired, maybe, but that's from the meds and chasing after a toddler, I'm sure.

When I got pg last time, I had absolutely NO symptoms. No implantation spotting, no sore boobs, nada, zilch, zero!

Oh--I am a teacher too! Another coincidence. I resigned at the end of my maternity leave to be a SAHM!

Well, thanks for reading... I am sending everyone .

Hello Ladies! I am so glad to see everyone doing so well! And thanks for the warm wishes!

I just wanted to mention that like Disney I have been taking injections this entire cycle. Following the pill I started Lupron shots, then twice a week Delestrogen IM's, & starting sometime last week - daily Projest. IM's. After reading that most of you are on patches & pills I asked my RE and he simply replied "that's the protcol we use for all FET's because its been the most successful". And while I love, love my RE's I think it might be nice to take things on a more individual bases. That may allow for a less invasive approach - because my a*s is already sore as hell!

So my u/s was last week - it was an 11, so they kept me on schedule for FET on 9/21. I was so nervous about the thawing process, would any of the three survive? We'll they did! They thawed all 3 & we had 2 high quality blasts transferred yesterday afternoon.

I am using an accupunturest, that I have been seeing once a week for the past couple of weeks. She treated me before & after the transfer. I'll take any help I can get!

My RE said I had to stay off my feet all day following the transfer, except to got to the bathroom & eat. I sent my DH & DD to a birthday party today alone & I stayed on the sofa watching movies & napping. I work as a massage therapist twice a week, so I called out for Sunday (tomorrow). My RE's say that you may resume normal activities the day after the transfer, with exception to exercise, heavy lifting & sex until the Beta. Since implantation can take place anytime from day 5-11 & I had 6 day blasts transferred on the 21st I am not going to massage anyone, lift my 30lb DD or do much of anything until Thur. 9/27, which is my 1st day back to work, but its only a 2 hour shift.

My beta is scheduled for 10/1. I don't think that I will test at home before that. I tested 2 days before my beta with my daughter & it was positive, but I remeber the rollercoaster that I put myself on. What if it comes up negative? Is the test just not sensitive enough? Is it possitive due to the FSH shot (since that she was fresh from an IVF)? This time I will try to wait....

Good luck to everyone! I can't wait to check in again to find all the BFP's!

How wonderful that everyone is moving along so great. I had my appoinment to day and I trigger tomorrow and my FET will be on Thursday. Hope everyone is having a great weekend the weather here is wonderful. I feel kinda left out that you all are teachers. I use to work in daycare for a long time. However the pay sucks. It is really sad the amount people make. My sisters both still work in childcare. I work at an RV manufacture paying warranty claims. It is a nice Job and I love the people I work with. Hopefully when we do have a family I will be a stay at home mom. Good luck to everyone who have had their transfers already.
