I'm Back!!

Hi everyone,

All went well with my transfer, they thawed two and they both survived!!! which means we still have 2 frozen. Anyway we transfered two grade A 6-day old blasts. I'm on downtime till next week, again getting up to pee, etc, not much else. I have the week off which I am so happy about, a little me time!!!

Anyway, good luck to all, and keep us up on the latest, tests, transfers etc, it is so exciting. This is our month for sure!!

I have blood test on Tuesday for E1 and Progesterone levels, and then beta 1 week later.

to all!!

Nice to hear that everyone is in good spirits. It's reassuring to know that you gals are going through it too... I am sending good vibes to all.

Today my boobs hurt and I am tired as hell. Sent DH and DD out to find some pumpkins for the porch.

I am planning to POAS thursday a.m. When are you other 9/18 transfers planning to test?

I think that the 2ww is really difficult. During treatment, there's something happening every day or at least several times a week... On the 2ww, you're just sitting around wondering what in the heck is going on... Ugggh.

Our First IVF Tomorrow

Sorry, I can't seem to get all the "lingo" down, but I will say this: the doctors are transferring the embryos tomorrow (what is the definition called)? We have two really good eggs.

What happened once the eggs are transferred? Then what?

Greg

I'm new to this thread ... are you tranferring fresh or previously frozen embryos (Fresh, being ET for egg transfer and FET, being frozen egg transfer?) In either case, I think what is next is simply the wait. And that part is NOT easy. But we're all wishing the absolute best outcome for you.

Sorry Christa :-( I hope that you are doing OK and wish you allot of luck on your next fresh cycle.

I am not what we will do next if this doesn't work - maybe non medicated iui's with accupunture & herbal suppliments for DH. This IVF stuff is really hard & I think it may be his turn to take some needles to the you know what!

Best Wishes!

Oct 2001 - ttc
Some crappy day - Diagnosed MF Infertility - 6 million sperm count
April - Consultation with IVFNJ (love them!)
May 2003 - 1st IVF cycle resulted in an ectopic
Sept 2004 - 2nd IVF cycle successful - 3 blastocyst leftover for freezing
June 2005 - Baby Girl Born ... 2 hour unmedicated labor. The universe paid back for all those proj shots that day. Though it was painful it was fast & furious. Best night of my life!
Aug. 21st - 2 blasts transferred...
...Pregnancy Test 10/1

Hi CaribbeanQueen (love your name!). My FET was on 9/18 too and I haven't decided when to POAS yet. I was really tempted to try this morning, but resisted since it hasn't even been a week since the transfer. My first beta is scheduled for Tues, 10/2, so I'm thinking of waiting until Sun, 9/30 to POAS. I'm afraid to try too soon. No sore boobs yet for me...but I have felt some "twinges" and am more tired than usual. Good luck!

Replies to all...

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.

Crista... I am so sorry to hear your news. I hope that you are doing okay and that you and your DH can think about your next steps.

Thanks for your note, Pixxi. I decided to use "CQ" for my user name because I used to live in the islands. Now that I am an East Coast girl again, I feel like part of my mind will always be down there... It was a great life. I love the pace of things down there--definitely more my speed.

Gina--hope all went well with your transfer.

Greg--good luck to you as well!

I can't tell everyone how glad I am that I found this site. Somehow it's making this 2ww seem better for me... Whatever the outcome...

CaribeanQueen,
I am wondering why you RE makes you wait so long? Did you have 5-6 days blasts or 2-3 day embryos transferred? My transfer of 6 day blasts was on 9/21 & my test is 10/1.... I can't even stand the 11days that I have to wait - 2w would be torture! I think that if you really want to test at home (I am going to try & wait til 10/1) you should give it a try at the 11 day mark??? Just a thought.... Good luck!

All went well today- We transferred two beautiful blast. I'm resting up- did anyone feel achey afterwards? I'm sure with all that was going on that would explain it- I test on 10/2- Can't wait!!!

I am getting very excited for all of you! Everything sounds so good!

I have to say that I had a feeling the FET wouldn't work for us.....I don't thinking shutting down my hormones actually worked for me. I was depressed, cold.....and felt totally blah. Even though we got sad news on Saturday, I feel so GREAT today now that I am off the PIO shots and Vivelle pacthes. I think everyone's body is so different - ya know?

Our doc said we can start another fresh IVF after this AF. I think Eric and I just figure we might as well keep going.....

I am thinking of you all!!!!!

Crista

I am a teacher too! : ) K-3 Special Educator
