Update
We went to our apt.
Dr. reported we had about a 30% chance that the FET would work and about a 12% chance for twins! We haven't made a FINAL decision, but I think we'll probably do it so that we don't ever wonder what could of been. Today I don't know if I can have another one... Avery will just not stop crying... I THINK it may be her teeth, but I don't know, I just know I'm going a bit crazy! Can't wait to hear everyone's updates, Kimmy it's coming up! How are the twins! Dre

Hi Dre,
Sorry to hear Avery is having a hard time today. Those days can be so trying. We seem to be going another round with a stomach virus around here the last couple days - SO NOT FUN! I think the boys are feeling better today, but still fussy. DH stayed home to take care of them today so I could get some rest, which helped a lot. My oldest is not feeling well now too. Tomorrow is her 15th birthday, so it will stink if she is sick. I forget, how many snow babies do you have? and how many do you think you would transfer? Did your dr say why he only gives you a 30% chance? is that normal for FET? I was thinking it would be better odds. Oh well I guess I'll keep my and pray hard anyway.hugs Kimmy

Thank you Kimmy for the welcome. We are looking forward to starting the FET cycle but are not sure when we will be cycling. The RE will be checking my uterus in April to see it is where it needs to be. If it is then I think we will cycle in May or June.
Each day is tough emotionally but we are pushing our selves to stay hopeful and not give up on our baby dreams. So we get excited at the thought of future possibilities. |

Hi Ladies
I'd love to join in on this thread. And, actually this is my first post on this site. My dh and I were successful with our 1st try at IVF w/ICSI. We had a beautiful baby boy on 6/15/06. We have 2 frozen blasts waiting for us. So, we are planning to have our last try at things this July/August sometime. This past wednesday I went in for a saline u/s and all is well so I got the go ahead. When we were going thru this all prior to and thru the IVF I loved having a network of people that I could talk to and since then that site is no longer around. Looking forward to lots of BFPs for this thread!!!

Samantha and Fishing family WELCOME!
So good to have you join! I have a toddler question for you guys... When do boys pee standing up... My son wants to do it and I entertain him, but he pees all over the seat and it drives me nuts! He wants to keep trying so I let him... but I end up cleaning it up EVERY TIME!!!! AHHHHHH! Anyway... Kimmy, yes I guess with my age being 32 (33 in a couple days, 17th of March), My odds are at 30% with a FET.... What did your dr. say to you? We only have 2 embies (like the others), so we would put both in..... I'm scared to have 3.... but if we had twins, I would need Kimmy to come over with her teens and make sure I don't go INSANE!!!! Just kidding! Good luck to anyone... Anyone have appointments this week or next? I am Breastfeeding right now.... and need to start weening myself.... if we do the transfer this summer, I don't want to be putting the meds down my Daughters throat!!! Life is sure crazy hu! Fishing Family... I love your web name! Too cute! Beth, I am so sorry for your loss, we came close to losing our daughter, and I was scared every day for 3 months until she came out... I was in the hospital for 3 months due to a diagnosis of a Vasa Previa... I will send prayers to you and your family and that little one that is flying around in heaven! Dre

Hi girls, It has been half days for teacher conferences this week, my babysitting times were moved and the kids schedules were all messed up. And with a homeschooled 15yr old, a 3 yr old and 3 1yr olds that equals chaos! I am exhausted!!! I started weight watchers this week so I'm hoping to lose some weight over the next couple months. I'm up 10lbs from where I was when I got pregnant with the boys and I got so huge with them, I don't want to start any bigger. My RE consult is the 21st, I'm so excited.
Dre, That is so cute about your son with the peeing - he wants to be a big boy! I'm sure I won't think it is quite as cute when my guys get there and I have to clean the toilet all day long. LOL We haven't talked with our RE about odds yet, our consult is next week. I'm 33 will be 34 in May, I was 31 when we did our fresh cycle. At that time we were given an at least 65% chance of success. I thought I remembered being told that FETs had almost as high of success rates, but I could be wrong. I was just hoping for really high odds (maybe 50%) because I really want this to work. I actually just weaned my guys - it has really only been 4 days because I'm having a hard time giving it up and keep giving in when they give me these pathetic little sad faces. We have been only nursing at night for a couple months now. My goodness it is such a pain to fix bottles in the middle of the night - nursing is just so much more convenient. They are getting up less now though - I guess they were just getting up because they wanted to nurse lol. Samantha, April will be here before we know it. Do you have as long a list of questions for your RE as I do? Hugs to everyone Kimmy

We had our consult and I am so excited to begin. I will start BCP's on Day 2 of my May cycle. Then Lupron a couple weeks later, then estrogen and progesterone IM injections - ouch! The Transfer should be in late June.
We have decided to thaw 2 of our embryos and transfer whoever survives the thaw. My RE says their thaw rates are close to 100% and our embryos are excellent so both should thaw. We know there are no guarantees though, so i guess we will see. He gave us about a 60% chance this should work. We are thrilled Hope everyone is having a great day Hugs Kimmy
