Is it true that FET embies are late implanters?

Or is this just one of those things we tell ourselves so we feel better about neg/faint line HPTs and low betas? I was wondering if anyone had stats or experience with this. I was foggy from the valium, but I think I remember the embryologist saying something about the embies having to reacclimate themselves - so that makes sense I guess. I am really hoping for twins again! Here is a comparison of my 2 cycles.

Fresh IVF cycle Jan/Feb 2oo6 - Resulted in twin boys
5 day blast transfer - 2 perfect blasts 1 already hatched, 1 hatching.
5dp5dt (10dpr)- Evening - got a light + on a $ store test
6dp5dt (11dpr)- FMU - faint + on a FRER & several other + HPTs of several brands
7dp5dt (12dpr)- lines still light but getting darker
8dp5dt (13dpr)- lines getting darker
9dp5dt (14dpr)- Beta 208

FET cycle June 2008
6 day frozen blast transfer - 2BA grade blasts 1 already hatched, 1 hatching
4dp6dt (10dpr) - Negative tests
5dp6dt (11dpr) - FMU very very faint shadow of a line on equate, 2 neg $ store tests later in the day.
6dp6dt (12dpr) - FMU very faint + on FRER & neg $ store test.

any info on whether FET embies implant later would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Hugs
Kimmy

Hi Kimmy, I don't know the answer to your question, but would you have less HCG if you were pregnant with a singleton? Maybe you had darker lines last time because there were 2? Just a thought, Terri

I think that can be true based upon my experience. My initial beta numbers were fairly low and didn't initially double every 48 hours. The nurse said the numbers can do funny things with an FET so to just wait it out. Sure enough, 33 weeks later, and I've had a great pregnancy.

Good luck.

I have also heard about frozen embies being slower than fresh. When we transfered my two still hadnt fully expanded so my whole process has been thrown off by a couple of hours. I have definetly been recieving faint positives since Saturday but they all vary in shade. Ive only used dollar store test so Im hoping they are just not sensitive enough. Maybe I will splurge and buy a fancy one tonight..

Kimmy - Im so happy you have seen a line ! Whoo Hoo..Stick Babies Stick !!

That's kind of what I am afraid of. Not that I wouldn't be extremely grateful and in love with a singleton. I just really want both of my little peanuts to make it.

My RE nurse told me they see lower number with FET. It kindda makes sense, they were frozen, they might be a little off. Mine were low but things are so far so good, sneaking in a heartbeat check at OB tomorrow for piece of mind.
Congrats!!!!!

Yes I did!!!! Dopplers were not cooperating, nurse could not get it, had to wait for OB to show up, he was running late (waited over an hour, half naked!!) But when he got in he got it, it was 156!!!! Talk about nerve racking!!!! ( my uterus is tilted so that is why it was hard to get by nurse)
