Hi girls!
Wow, it's been a while since I've been here! I knew I had some PM's waiting for me, but no idea we had a reprise going on over here. So, I'm already about 5 pages behind....sounds about right! It is soooo good to hear from all of you and see where you are along your journeys. I'm in awe that we have so many whose cycles actually worked - I was beginning to doubt that this stuff worked for anyone. So this is a huge to Jessica, Tracy, Hope, Cari, Terri and Audra! You're going to be awesome mommies and I can't wait to see all these beautiful babies around here next year.Karla - I'm so glad things have *clarified* themselves over time with your SIL, it sounds so much better now than last May. I'm glad you got your vacation without her there, even though you're cool with her now, sometimes it's nice to vacay alone. Have heart about the IF stuff... I was so surprised that you have the clotting factor thing...MTHFR? I can't remember the acronym. You really had a hard time with the IVF meds, I remember that. I'm so glad you're thinking about future plans, it will be exciting to hear what you come up with! Hope you sleep better tonight, that makes for such a long (and for me, grouchy) day! Jessica - Your pictures are super cute, do they look like mommy or daddy? Ha. Anyways, good luck with the gender discovering. Terri - I'm so glad that your embryos are healthy and that you can set your mind at ease about that. That is just wonderful news. Have fun with this pregnancy! Tracy - That is so awesome that you're having twins. I hope the previa works itself out and that it won't cause you any major problems before then! Angie - Thanks a bunch for your PM! You so deserved a vacation after everything you went through. This IVF is expensive, but you need a life too, and that is even more important to remember when you are going through IF. Good luck figuring out what the plan from here is, IUI vs. IVF. Audra - I'm so glad that you got pregnant with FET. This is so reassuring to me! I'm so sorry about Twin B, and so elated that Twin A appears to be doing fine. Keep up the positive attitude! You're doing great! Jennifer - You've sure been busy with the FET #1, and chromosome testing and everything. Good luck with FET #2, there are a couple of us right along with you! Are you all set on embies for now? I can't remember how many you have on ice...I think it was a lot. Linz - Hey there! It's been awhile. You have an appt today I do believe, how did it go? You also have been busy...congrats on your weight loss and upcoming trip to Cancun. How wonderful! You're going to be in a tiny bikini by then, right??? I thought about you a few weeks ago when I was driving through IL and also through Madison... OK, and I almost fell out of my chair this morning when I saw that the related OHSS charges (OF $7000!!!) aren't even covered by your insurance. That is such a low blow, and you seem pretty accepting of it - here at least. That would be the end of my journey right there. Wow. Maybe you can rob a bank in Cancun while you're there. Ha. BTW, your SIL always has a little drama going on over there, doesn't she? Seriously, I hope she's ok with the preterm labor - that is really scary, especially with twins. One last thing, what you were saying the other day about questioning whether or not to continue on with IVF and all...I've so been there, recently too. DH and I are so happy with our lives in general, kids would be great, but I feel like a traitor sometimes saying that I could be happy either way. I have faith that whatever happens in your future, you'll be happy as well, since happiness for the most part is a decision. OK, this is crazy long...sorry! Update on me - I'm smack in the middle of FET #2. I had an u/s on Friday to check the endometrial lining and it was too thin to do a transfer yesterday like we had wanted. Soooo, they jacked up my Estrace to 3 times a day orally and vaginally...I feel like a crazy person with all this estrogen. I have a follow up u/s tomorrow at 0845, hopefully the lining will be ok by then - if so, the FET will be on 9/10. So, that's that. I'm really ambivilant about if it works or not. Some days I really question what we're doing, if it's right for us, but in the end I have to think it is. On a lighter note, my dog turned 10 years old this summer and for her present, we're giving her obedience lessons for the first time! Not. Going. So. Well. She's a smart dog, but she is already "trained" to pull on her leash, not sit when asked, etc. It's good to have a distraction though during all this IVF stuff. Wish me luck on both counts! Have a great day girls. Glad to have you all back. (Didn't we used to have spell check on here??? Geez!)

Kelly!!!! It's so good to hear from you!!! Don'y you love this little reunion?
I know it has been such a busy summer- thanks for thinking of me driving through my "states". How's life over where you are? Is it as rainy and dreary day over in Iowa as it is across the river? Well its really good to hear how your cycle was going- I was thinking it was very close- man was I right on or what? I hear thin lining can be common with FET- so its good they're giving you a few extra days. Many prayers for a successful u/s tomorrow and FET next week. I can so relate to you with the way my cycles are working- ow I'm feeling, etc. It's funny how these appts. all just kind of run together. The NP asked me this morning how I was relaxing during teh cycle- I was kind of like- I'm not really stresses- you know! If it wokrs great, if not, we still have options. I feel a little guilty sometimes having so many embies and just not stressing as much during the prep of the cycle(now the 2ww is another story!)So we'll just see- my new philosophy- God has a plan. So how many are you transferring this time? Are they switching anything else up with this cycle? My appt. went very well. Lining was were it should be- they said I may not even bleed after being off bcp's (small ). Still on Lupron and adding vivelle patches next Tuesday. U/S on the 17th for another check. I asked what they think happened with my last cycle- not explination- I just feel into that unluck percentage- nothin new there! So we're sticking with same plan- planning on transferring 3 again. I'm hoping the weight loss (now up to 10# as of this morning) and improving my diet makes a difference. Time will tell!!!!!So yes- in Febraury I will either be in a tiny bikini or have a big round baby belly- either way it'll be a great winter get away. And my big bill- can you even believe that! One night in the hospital! Ugh! I guess it's like paying for another IVF cycle- since I got all those embies- jeesh! I don't even want to know what SIl's bill will be. She's still holding her own. ANd the drama- thats just my husbands side of the family all together! LOLIt was so good to hear from you! Take care- keep in touch! Okay- hi to all the other gals! Karla- bummer with the pictures- I think I heard once to try resizing in paint -maybe? Not sure- good luck! Sorry to hear work is so crazy- makes the day go fast at least? Good luck with that! I've had nights like that too. I think I've now officially seen every episode of Roseanne and Home Improvement on in the middle of the night! Have you ever tried tylenol PM? It's good stuff! ![]()

Hey everyone!...
Kelly-- glad to hear from you girl!!! I'm praying this FET will be your cycle....you & Linz may be due close together.... I was surprised about the MTHFR too, but since my homocysteine levels are in normal ranges (its on the higher end of normal, but still within normal range) its not a blood clotting issue for me. The specialist said I "could" take a baby asiprin a day if I wanted too. Plus taking vitamin B12 helps maintain normal homocysteine levels too...... The only issue that may rise is during pregnancy & I think possible baby aspirin/ or blood thinner during the first trimester or whole pregnancy may be necessary....We'll see I guess... That is cute about your dog. My dog is only a year old & I don't know how she would do with classes like that. Jess- sounds like you & DH have a nice weekend planned!! Have fun!....I'm in SC & was wondering what hurricane Hanna was going to do...I think we are going to be fine, but Ike is coming up right behind her!!!! Nicole~ It was good to hear from you....I'm sorry to see about your last IVF, but keep hanging in there girl!!! This is going to be the one for you.... Well yesterday turned out better than I thought at work....I slept better last night too... Linz- I have tried tylenol pm....I don't think I had any at my house the night I was struggling to sleep....probably something I need to invest in having again.....=) I'm glad your appointment went well yesterday....You are getting all ready to bring your snow-triplets home! Wasn't Audra suppposed to have an u/s yesterday?? Well I guess I better get to it at work.....What is everyone doing this weekend?...My friend is supposed to be coming up to visit, but we are kind of waiting to see what the weather is going to do. John (DH) & I are supposed to have a date night tonight.....That will be fun!! I'm still determined to get some pics posted on here too! Have a great day girlies!!! ![]()

Nicole- Good to hear from you! I was so sorry to hear about your loss afte rthe may cycle. It sounds like you are on your way with IVF#2- I bet our transfers end up being very close to each other! (My FET is scheduled for 9-25)
Karla- How'd you sleep last night? Better? You were probably exhausted! Aren't you in South Carolina? Are you threatened at all my the Tropical Storm Hannah and the Hurrican Ike? My Dad lives in Wilmington, NC and these storms are making me nervous! They live less than 10 miles off the coast- probably just a nervous mid-westerner! Where are you going for date night? Sounds fun! We have no fun plans- It's busy season here! We have two photo shoots Saturdya(Soccer pics). Sunday I think DH is going to visit is sister in the hospital- Just gearing up for a busy week. Photo shoots every night this coming week, and Friday is my birthday. I'm a little sad about the fact that another birthday is going by without a baby. Gosh where has the time gone? The years just keep creeping on- 27 is so close to 30! LOL!

Hi girls!
So the ultrasound this morning was much better than last week's, the lining is 7.4mm, which is good enough. There was a little fluid in the uterus, but not much and not enough to cancel the cycle. They think it might be cervical mucus or something since the tubes are totally fine, so it's not from them - thank goodness. The transfer will be on Wednesday. We're going to transfer one blast again. We've decided that if we fail 3 single ETs, then we'll try putting 2 back at that point. I was freaking out about all the estrogen they have me on (a total of 12 mg of Estrace a day) and the doctor this morning said that once I get pregnant that my natural levels will go even higher, which made me feel SO much better, I thought I'd have a third breast by now. Linz - Your appt sounds like it went really good. Are you doing any oral or vaginal estrogen, or just the patch? And they have you on Lupron too? I see you're still a walking drug store... Look whose talking, right? Did you have lining issues with your last FET? I was telling DH last night about your hospital bill and he couldn't believe it either. That is still the craziest thing to me. I can't imagine what your SIL's stay is running either but at least her insurance will cover it, right? She's 29 weeks today right...will they let her go off the meds and see what happens? Honey, enjoy your 27th birthday to the fullest extent. Don't even worry about getting older (do that when you turn 30!), your embies will always be 26 years old. I totally know what you're saying though. My plan was to be done with my family by the time I turned 30, so turning 31 this year was harder than last year's birthday. Anyways, have fun with the soccer pics this weekend...do you get your birthday off next week? Jessica - Thanks! And have a great time in Atlantic City. Are you going to be working on building up the IVF fund? Hehe. I think your weekend plans are tops around here this weekend. Well, maybe Karla will have a really cool date night too... Anyways, that's good news that you foresee the 10th to be a good day, that's my hope too! Have a good trip! Karla - What a relief you don't have to worry about your clotting everyday. Are you currently taking the baby ASA or will you just wait until you're pregnant? I'm so glad they discovered this before pregnancy, since DVT's while you're pregnant are really awful (we had a pt in my old practice who had that happen, poor thing.) Hope you have a great date night with John...enjoy! Nicole - Please keep safe from all these horrible storms! Thinking about you and wishing you the best of luck this cycle. I was so sorry to see about your last cycle, that must've been heartbreaking and so discouraging. I'm so glad you're back at it. Enjoy the Lupron! (just joking) No good weekend plans here, just starting PIO tonight. Does that count? Yuck. Have a good one girls.

Kelly- YAY for your u/s!! That is great news!!!....I'm
for you for your upcoming FET!!!....You have to keep us informed along the way, ok?I was totally freaked out when I found out about the MTHFR...but the hemotolgist (sp...) put me more at ease. I've been taking the low dose aspirin every other day & I bought the coated kind so its gentler on my stomach......I need to see about getting the high dose of folic acid though...I think several women on here take Folgard with this mutation..... Linz- I know what you mean about looking at another b-d & thinking I thought I'd have that baby in my arms this year....BUT for you & KELLY next years b-d's you will both be craddling those little ones!!! Do you guys ever feel that way around the holidays too? Christmas is the worst for me!!!! I live in Columbia, SC so we are away from the beach, but we still feel the effects....I think we are more concerned about Ike.....Wilmington is about 4 hours from me....Let me know if you go visit your Dad sometime!!! Well I'm about to go order my SIL the cutest diaper bag. I'm going to have my nieces name monogrammed on it....I'll try & post a pic if it will let me..... I hope you ladies have a wonderful evening....John & I canceled date night....we were both feeling blah...we made pasta & both took a nap....I think we are going to shoot for a "date lunch" tomorrow!!!

I've been away for a few days, just catching up.....
Linz~ you're ? about pondering the universe and whether it's meant to be......I have been thinking the same thoughts and actually brought it up to DH this week.....like, do we continue w/ tx? or just let be what will be? It's SO difficult to figure this out, and then to make decisions and know that the outcome is out of our control......I have faith in God and in his plan for us, I just wonder, is IF tx in that plan? I know you know what I mean....just know that you're not alone in your pondering! Okay, just got to you're other post about your upcoming b-day....FIRST, some of us are already over 30 !!! LOL But seriously, I understand, it's another milestone, another reminder of how long you've been trying..... to you!Jennifer~ So good to hear from you! Wishing you the best on FET #2! Kelly~ I was wondering about you! Glad you found us! Wow, how time flies, I can't believe some of you are already on FET #2.......it seems like May was yesterday.....but sending lots of your way for a successful cycle! keep us updated.....you sound like you are at peace with where you're at, and IMO that's half the battle. Just got to your other post, congrats on your u/s appt!!!!!! Yay, so happy things are falling into place for you!Nicole~ hi sweetie, I had no idea how things turned out for you, I am so sorry . Wishing you the best, keep in touch!Karla~ sounds like you struggled w/ posting the pics, but I see you conquered it!!! Great pics!! You guys are such a cute couple! And Maya is a cutie, too! Too bad date night didn't work out, how 'bout date lunch??? What kind of work do you do again?? We had pasta last night for dinner, too...Olive Garden, our date night! I'll work on posting pics....Audra ~ hey girl! how was your u/s appt? Everyone else, hi there, hope you're having a great weekend!

Karla- love the pics!!! You guys are such a cute couple- and your little Maya is adorable- sweater and all! Christmas was rough for me last year- and I'm concerned about this year- especially with the new babies in teh fam- we'll just have to see what happens. It makes me sad becasue I love Christmas- the holiday, the family, the whole deal. I sure hope it'll be all of our year soon!
Talked to my Dad yesterday and they had minimal damage- some branches down and a few shingles off teh roof- glad they are okay- and that you were out of teh storm. I will defiently let you know when we come down next- maybe next spring we're thinking! Kelly- great news with u/s!!! What a relief! I question my lining a bit from teh last FET- only becasue I didn't get the one last u/s (I was out of town) and my lining was a B- obvioulsy an A is best. So hoping the dietary changes help- maybe? Who knows! Tracy- would love to see some pics!!! Angie- sorry I didn't show the love for those over 30! LOL- I never really thought that 30 or anywhere near would bother rme- then again I never thought I'd deal with all these IF issues either. You know how we just kind of "plan our life" I always wanted all my kids before 30- hoping for at least one now! I'm just old fashioned I guess...... Thanks for pondering the universe with me. And I'm so sorry about the "30" again- I didn't mean to offend anyone. You're right- it's not really the age- it's just another milestone- Okay- I'm going to attempt to post pics......wish me luck!

Okay I think this worked. Here are a few pics. Two of DH and I. Both are from last summer- I couldn't find our vaca pics from this year- they're on a camera card- somewhere. For ebing phtographers we're so bad about keeping track of pics! One is from last November- hence the leaves, and the other is from a cousin's wedding last summer. Since I don't have any pets- well we have a guniea pig named coco at Dh's school classroom- but you guys don't want to see a picture of a rat- here is my SIL's golden- Miller. We "babysit" him every once in a while. He's a sweetheart. Here we were at my house for MIL's 50th birthday- yes- that is a very good drink in my hand-I'd already had a few- can you tell? LOL (It was right before we started injectibles and IUI last year)

Hey girlies!!!
How's everyone's weekend so far??? Linz- your pics are adorable. You & your DH look so cute!...You both look so stinkin' young too!!! I know what you are saying about Christmas this year too. My new niece will be here- I'm excited, but still wondering how I will end up feeling during the holiday season....BUT- who knows where we will all be at Christmas...You might be a couple months preggo with your snow- triplets!!!! Angie- I work for state government in their public information office. I have worked there for the past 8 years.....I am the assistant director in the office so on those hectic days I feel the brunt of the load, but I love it & its entertaining some days....Isn't working with the public always entertaining....? lol Hope everyone else is doing good & enjoying their weekend....I've developed a cold over the last few days & this AM it feels like its moved to my chest somewhat...I may have to go to the doc soon!!! Alright, I'm still waiting on more pics....
