HPT Poll
  How soon after your ttc attempt do you start taking home pregnancy tests? This could be after you've bed naturally, tried an IUI, had a Embryo Transfer, or anything like that. Just whenever you start testing to see if you're pregnant. Some people start the day of the transfer just to show the trigger still in their system, others wait until they know the trigger should be out of their system, others wait until the date they should have started their periods, others wait even longer. I guess I'm just curious what everyone does.

 About me: Me: 30 - no issues DH: 30 - low motility, shoots blanks Mommy and foster mommy to 5!  TTC: 5/17 - ICSI 3 blastocysts failed to stick. 5/31 - RE appointment to discuss my 11 frozen eggs. 9/26 -  arrived! Officially starting our FET!9/28 - Baseline ultrasound - beginning Estrace. 10/11 - Lining is 10.5, Thickness is 3 bars. Looks perfect! 10/15 - 4 embryos survived the defrosting fertilization! 10/16 - 2 embies growing well, 2 embies lagging. 10/17 - 1 2-cell embryo, and 1 5-cell embryo! okay, I started 8 days after trigger (timed BD this cycle, no IUI cause follies are on the left side). I wanted to see when the trigger would be out. It has been + since (today is 10 days post trigger). Stupid trigger won't leave my system...
On non-trigger cycles I have tested 9 days after what I thought was ovulation, or about 4-5 days before I expected AF.

well, this cycle i started tested about 5 days from expected period. BUT after the wishy-washy hpt hell that i have put myself through, i will NOT do this again!!! from now on i will only start testing 2 days before expected period.

 TTC #1 for 2.5+ years ME: (Amy) 28, tubal damage DH: (Chris) 29, perfect! 3 IUI cycles cancelled due to a # of problems & 1 cycle resulting in BFN 1/12 BFP on natural cycle,ectopic pregnancy ended 1/23/07 1st IVF: 2/7- ER- 17 eggies!! WOW, 13 fertilized! 2/10-ET - transferred 2 8-cell 6dp3dt and 7dp3dt- hpt= God is so good! Betas: 2/22= 170, 2/25= 499, Progesterone 239, 2/29=2857 1st u/s 3/13 (My wedding anniversary!) 140 BEAUTIFUL bpm! 2nd u/s 3/27 - WOW! The growth is amazing! 182 bpm U/S 5/27/08 GO TEAM BLUE!!! Baby Jack is on his way! OMG THEY WERE WRONG! Baby Jack is now Baby Lily! We've switched teams...we're now THINKING PINK!!! Thank you God for this amazing oppurtunity!

okay, for the poll, when you say X days after ttc, do you mean x days after ovulation? trigger? or X days before AF expected?

Good question.
*lol* I guess it's all of those. If you test to make sure the trigger is out of your system, you could put that. Or if you test after you've bed down, or had a transfer or IUI... I don't know!!!

This will be my first time to test (1st IUI) I hope I can make it to 2 days before AF is susspose to come. Yikes!! I am getting scared for the 2ww.

I try not to test until 14dpIUI, but sometimes its a little sooner....usually no more than 11 days though.

 Stephanie-26 DH-26 no issues other than slightly low motility, super high count makes up for it. TTC-actively 3 years, not-not trying (hehe) 5 years before that. HSG-10/2005 normal. LAP-10/2005 endo (Stage III or IV), fibroids & polyps in uterus, and a cyst on left ovary-all removed. Pacemaker-08/2006 LAP/Hysteroscopy-03/2008 endo removed, tubes flushed, D & C. No fibroids, polyps, or cysts!

I also try not to test until 14dpiui but if I'm feeling sick or something I might test early so I can take meds.

Lets see I tested 7 days past egg transfer and got a really faint line... see siggy below.

My HT has been negative since 5 days pas my trigger. My beta is scheduled for 12-5. I am thinking that is early for a beta since it is 12 days past IUI. You alls thoughts ? ? ? ? ?

I usually start a day before AF and sometimes 2 days after if she didnt start.

I test 4-5 days prior to expected company
. I know I should wait as this last time I didn't get a BFP til the day she was supposed to arrive so kept getting disappointed...
