We just finished IVF #2 with a BFN. I'm hanging in there, but barely. How are the rest of you doing that are in a similar situation?

Hi, I am not going to lie to you I ain't doing well, this is my 2 ivf too and once again it failed, everything was perfect across the board except the implantation
part. I am tired of feeling so sorry for myself, just tired. just venting sorry!So what's your plan? Wanna here mines?

This was such a sweet thread to start. I hope I am not intruding as I have not done IVF (yet). But as my siggy shows I have done many IUI w/bfn. Well this was my second natural cycle (cycles are long due to PCOS) and for some reason I thought I was going to have a surprise natural BFP. This makes completly no sense as I had surgery during this time and Dh and I only BD once or twice (although surprisingly close to ovulation). I had internal bleeding from my simple surgery and 2 blood transfusions. My body was a mess from the bleeding, transfusions, plus radiation from cat scans and an angiogram and all the pain meds I was on. Not that I would have wanted my poor bean to go thru that, but I just thought I would take an HPT and it would be a surprise BFP. Well I was planning on taking an HPT on memorial day but Friday night I started to feel crampy so I took one (why I didn't just wait for AF is beyond me). Well anyway it was BFN but what makes it worse is it was a digital one (First Response new one). So not only was it a BFN but it screamed -NO right in my face. Oh well I am starting to babble on. BFN's never get easier whether your "trying" or not. For me we are suppossed to be on a break, but it is still always on my mind. Hence my multiple daily visits to this site.

Oh my I didn't realize I had all this in me. I need to come up with a plan. I am feeling the depression sink in. I am sorry girls I hope I didn't just bring everyone down!!!!!

Recently got a BFN on my final IUI. We are trying to decide what to invest in next, IVF or Adoption. And, I think it is overwhelming me because I am really hating the fact that I have to make that decision.

How did everyone get through your BFN's? I had a difficult time with that one too because it was close to Mother's Day and right before dh's birthday.

This BFN was a week before Dh's birthday. I know Steph it sucks. I burst into tears when the digital read -NO and woke Dh up from a deep sleep. I told him how I was planning on keeping the BFP a secret until his birthday (I can never keep a secret) and writing my beta #'s in his birthday card. And when he asked what do these #'s mean I would say open your gift and I would have the pee sticks wrapped up. The more I actually think about it the weirder the idea was, lol. But I was sobbing to Dh because I didn't get a BFP to plan his surprise just another BFN.

How do I deal with the BFN's? Not well, not well at all!! I cry, yell, sob, ask why a million times. And I take Metformin so it is not like I can even go have a nice glass of wine to ease my pain. Oh and lately I have been having wonderful insomnia!!! Okay I am a real downer lately. I need a beach vacation.

How do you other ladies deal? Whats your plan?

My plan is to do a FET in September with the procedure EMBYRO GLUE, if you google it, read all you can and if you haven't heard of it please read about cause I think it will work and in the mean time I will plan to redo my lap surgery to go into the only functioning tube to see what's wrong cause I had it re-opened in 2003 and still no babies! Ithink the proper name for this is tuboplasty.

I'm having a really hard time today. I've known since Sunday that I had a BFN because of the extremely heavy AF. I still had to go in today for my beta and do an exam for the study group I was a part of. On top of having to go through that, I had to pay $600 for the freezing and cryo of 2 leftover embies. As a consolation prize, I stopped to get the first Starbucks coffee I've had in months.

Mia- I like the idea for DH's birthday gift. It would have been great. I hope you didn't tell him about it so you can use it sometime (hopefully soon).

Stephanie- I know how you feel. It hurts every day that we have to make the choices we do.

Zita- I asked about FET cost at my appointment today. It's going to run about $4,000 by the time everything's said and done. Ouch! Keep us posted

Love Drug- It never gets easier, but I hope the struggle ends for you soon.

Thanks for starting this thread. I keep coming to read the forum but I don't feel like I belong right now. I had a BFN last Friday. It was our first IVF. We have our follow up appt tomorrow. I started BCPs yesterday. Hoping we can do FET in the next couple of months. I am terrified! Now I am doubtful that it can work. The BFN sucked the hope out of me! I am dreading even walking back into the re office. to all of you!

Hey rhart,
I am so sorry. This just stinks. I just had AF come before my Beta on my 2nd IVF. I am just angry. I have to say. Angry and sad. It is raw since I just knew for sure this am. Have you decided how many IVFs you want to to?

Hey ladies, how are you all doing? So I think TTC and the BFN's have made me officially crazy!! I POAS last night even though I POAS friday got a BFN and AF came Saturday. Of course it was a BFN. I think Dh is really starting to think I am losing it. Part of me is wondering the same.

Tomorrow is Dh's birthday and instead of surprising him with a pregnancy I am going to surprise him with a cute skirt I bought to wear for his birthday dinner.

So I have been thinking of what my TTC plan is and I think we are going to continue au naturale for the summer. As much as I would like to get a couple more IUI's in or head for IVF. The funds are just not available right now. We need to recover financially over the next few months.

So we will probaby take the summer off and start back up in the fall. Which is really strange because it seems like we only do treatments in the fall. Oh well I hope everyone is hanging in there. We will get our BFP's!!!!!

Can I join your group? I got my BFN last week. Definitely upset, but I cried already and decided its time to move on.

Its definitely not fair, and now I think I have 2 forms of infertility instead of one, which is *really* not fair. I'm getting to the dreaded 35 mark where the RE puts you into another category, so I want a BFP for #2 before I reach that age.

So I've decided to move forward. I'm definitely a "planner" so heres my plan: I think I'm going to do the Integramed plan (3 cycles for the price of 2, but no refund) and go straight to the top clinic in the country, CCRM. Now I just have to figure out the $ part. Oh, and I really need to lose 20 lbs. So I'm taking the Summer off.

Rose, I think you are here in Htown like me right? It is awesome that you have frozen ones- count yourself lucky, I've never had anything left to freeze.

Kelliejo. Have you read the thread about Bee Pollen and Royal Jelly lately. I dont know how interested you are in natural remedies but a lot of ladies have been experiencing success with it lately. Increased response to stims and lowered FSH. I will bump it if you want to take a look. Your baby in your avatar pic is such a cutie!!! I wish you the best of luck, sounds like you have a good game plan.

Thanks for the compliments on my son. I thank God every day for giving him to me, he's the sweetest little boy on the planet.

I'm not super "granola", but I recycle and try to eat organic foods when I can. I also do acupuncture. I'd love to hear anything that could increase my response to stims!! Thanks!
