What do you guys do to stay healthy during infertility treatments? Do you go for a jog each afternoon or a long walk with your significant other? Do you take a step aerobics class? Do you meditate or pray? Do you head to the spa and spend $100 on yourself to feel beautiful inside and out?

I have been trying for 2 years to conceive, one year of 'really trying" and 6 months of Infertility treatments. I cut out some things I really enjoyed, like working out a lot and I have decided to go back to my regular life. Poo Poo on the people that say that my workouts were preventing me from getting pregnant! I stopped for four months and nothing happened. I stopped for three months in the past and still nothing. So, I am putting down the fertility drugs and going back to what makes me, ME! Sooner or later it will happen. We don't have much contrl in this world.

i love this question karen! i pray a lot, write about each cycle day in a journal, workout a lot (kickboxing classses, long jogs outside, etc) and i try to stay "me". that can be hard at times, but i really try. oh and i like to plan fun and different things with my dh throughout everything, i need it! and so does he! i also think it is important to keep up with the "non baby makin" sex, which can also be hard at times. other than that i just come here and chat with all you gals!

My workouts are very infrequent at times and then I will kick it up a notch like i'm doing now.

For me, staying healthy means eating lots of fruit, veggies and organic foods in general. I like going on the internet to chat, I sometimes shop, and Dh and I have been praying every morning together. Prayer alone keeps me calm and centered. My next phase is to start meditating.

Sometimes I go to a spa and sometimes I just stay home and veg on the couch and watch a good movie. I've realized that rest is very important for me. Another huge thing I really enjoy is going to see my acupuncturist once a week, it's so relaxing and you actually sleep for a half hour.

I do things that keep me calm overall. Stress is the worst when you are going through IF.

I definitely pray a lot!! I kept a journal during my IVF cycle of how I felt each day, all the medications I was on, what I found out at doctors appointments, etc. I have just started getting back into any form of physical exercise and right now it's spent on the elliptical in my home. Once spring hits I'll be taking more walks outside. I do walk at work at least 3-4 miles a day so I think that helps too. I also try to get a massage once a month or at least every couple months.

Ummm...u made me think.I actually do not do much.I am watching my diet .I used to take an hour long walk before it was winter..but stopped now.Actually I've stopped quite a lot of things that I used to do before my IVF failed.I certainly do not pray anymore..my DH tried convincing me to do that but I somehow have lost that faith.Another thing I do a lot is research..know as much as possible about what are the various options for me....
hey...I am already feeling as if I am doing nothing extra to make "it" happen unlike most of you....

It is so hard to keep sane! I like to read books on self empowerment and pray....especially when I fall into my "down days." I also try to get a mani and pedi everyother week...that is always relaxing!
