Exercising while doing IUI or IVF?

Hi,

Have any of you been told to stop exercising during your IUI or IVF cycle?

I am currently running about 25 miles a week and I was told I can continue right until the ET and then I would have to stop. Not sure how long for though.

My RE didn't tell me tp stop... prior to IVF I ran about 25 miles a week too... I have just read alot about over exercising while TTC- so I stopped and just walked. Since you are paying a lot of $$ for the process, why risk it? Good luck!

My RE told me to keep my heart rate below 140. I do a lot of walking- I can't run and keep my heart below that. I do walk about 20-30 miles/week.

My RE gave the same advice...just take it easy. I know it's hard to do when you have a routine. I too jog/speed walk, lift weights and play tennis, and couldn't do anything but walk for 2 weeks! I even looked all over the internet for a device to monitor your heart rate and temperature, but couldn't find one that advanced! HA!

Good luck in your 2ww!!!

there's a couple studies like this one that have stopped my excersize routines for the time being. I do some walking, but that's about it.

Yup, its good to stop post IUI / FET or whatever other treatment. Walking is ok, but they say not to overdo that either.
Take care and good luck!!
