Ayurvedic Medicines for Infertility!!!!

Hi All,
We just had an appointment with an Ayurvedic doctor overseas(medication prepared from herbs common in India). That doctor reassured very high success rate for infertile couple. We ahd hard time getting convinced though we decided to try.Does any body have any experience or success stories with the use of Ayurvedic medications?
BTW we are dealing with PCOS and MF.

MayaM,

I, too, had a consultation with an ayuervedic practitoner here US and used to take customised ayuvedic blend/mixture. I believe it did help me. Now sometimes I take ayurvedic vitamin pills when I am between cycles. I discontinue when I start to cyle b/c I don't want herbs(just like anything else) to interfer with the IVF process/tests etc. I truly believe that it is highly effective to treat IF since the treatments are custome made and based on your constitution (doshas) and is highly individualised and takes into account spiritual and emotional element of patients when diagnosis is made and treatments are offered accordingly. It is alreday gaining popularity in western world as an integrative medicine.

I do otherwise try to follow ayurvedic life style as best as I can.

Did you do a consultation here?

Vinita

reply to Anita regarding Ayurvedic treatment

I have been taking it for the past 3 months.I have PCOS and had very infrequent cycles.I have now cycles every month but have not conceived yet.I am not sure whether I am ovulating or not.At least my cycles are regulated with ayurvedic meds.

Hi Everyone,

Its encouraging to see some people here who are trying ayurvedic meds. I have severe endometriosis and both tubes blocked. I have had one surgery before and now my RE tells to me have another one to get the tubes removed and proceed with IVF. I have done 2 cycles of IVF , both of which failed.

I have lost hope in all this IVF and allopathic meds and so I've chosen to take an alternate route with Ramdevji's ayurvedic meds, Pranayama and Acupuncture. I am not sure if its going to help me, but I am trying.

But if this does not help then I guess doing another surgery seems to be the only way out.

Anyone out there, who's tried ayurvedic meds and has success stories to share.

sok

Hello everyone I'm new here. Been TTC for 3 yrs now, we are both are 36.
Had 1 failed IUI & IVF. They dectected Endo & now say I have poor egg quality. Just heard the news today that they will not do the 2nd IVF cycle & that Egg donor is my only option. So still in shock.
Wish I had gone thru the proper route of Lap. But this RE says even Lap won't help.
I just started Ramdev herbs just cause I dont want to give up hope yet. And still cannot face reality how soon & why I reached this ED stage.
Thanks for reading.
Mya

Hi Mya,

I am in a similar boat, my 2nd IVF cycle couldnt be completed coz the docs said that my egg quality will be poor because of my crazy hormone level..

But anyway I am also on Randevji's meds and I do pranayama on a regular basis, which I 've heard is very helpful. I have my appointment with my new RE in June.

Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping to see some positive results..
