Dollar Store HPT???

Hi~ I see alot of people use HPT from the dollar store. Are these very accurate? Do most dollar stores carry them? Is there a particular brand that is recommended?

Thanks!!!

They are pretty good, the Dollar Tree has them $1 and I've seen them at the Family Dollar but there they have them at $2.50. Still not bad at all...

What I've learned is HPT are all about the same. The only difference is some can read the hcg level at a lower level. For example, some can read once the hcg hits 25 (probably the more expensive) and som can read only once the hgc hits 50 (probably the less expensive). I would say if you testing early, maybe 12-14 dpo, you would want the ones that read at 25. The box should say.

The dollar store where I live has them for 1$ and they test at 15. Yes, 15! I know they are completely reliable, because I test out my trigger starting with like day 5. They get lighter and lighter and then nothing. Just waiting for that test to show the real BFP. Save your money and get them at dollar store.

From what I've researched, the Dollar Tree tests are MORE sensitive than most of the name brand ones. I wish I'd have nown this before buying multiple E.P.T., First Response, and Clear Plan Digital tests this month. I got some of the Dollar Store ones today. New Choice, but some carry Baby Test, same thing.

I used the dollar tree baby test HPT's and saw a line at 6dp5dt! It works but just as a warning the line does not get as dark as some of the others. If you have a vey faint line don't worry! IT IS A BFP!! It did get darker every day but even on beta day the line was not half as dark as the control and my beta came back at 191. Also, they have an evaporation line so the test has to be read within the time period stated on the directions.

Hope this helps!
