I took a HPT this morning and there were 2 windows, one the test window and one the control. i got one horizontal line in the test (i wanted a horizontal and vertical) but nothing in the control (should be one vertical line). i'm really confused... does that mean that the test is broken or something...HELP

Usually it does mean the test is no good. Something might show up later, but whatever the test reads can't really be trusted. The last hpt I took a little over a year ago, nothing showed up in either the control window or the test window until the next morning. I would try another one.
