11 dpHCG: Negative HPT yesterday, Positive today

Hello Everyone,

I'm new here and just wanted to intro myself. I am on my first IVF cycle and have some questions to see if anyone has any advice or info.

HCG Shot: 10/9/9, 1130PM

Egg Retrieval: 10/11/9

Embryo Transfer: 10/16/9 (2 Blastocysts)

1st HPT: 10/19/09 =

2nd HPT: 10/20/09 =

Since my 1st HPT test showed negative I believe that should indicate that the HCG from my trigger shot has left my system.

If my 2nd HPT test showed a positive, should I take that as a good sign that the HCG traced is from an actual implantation?

Any kind of information or advice is very much appreciated.

Thanks!

YEP!!! I'd say it's safe to assume you MAY be pregnant. You can ask for an early BETA or just keep doing HPT's until you go in for your test. Each day it should be getting a little darker.

The longest the HCG has ever stayed in me was for 10-11 days.

Its Bfp!

Hi,

Well, I told my RE what had happened and we did a beta today and he confirmed it was a BFP and wasn't the trigger shot.

My beta count was low but he said not to worry too much because it was still early and the count should double everyday. We are taking another beta on Tuesday.

I hope our baby sticks. Thanks everyone, I will update soon!

Well...here's an update!

They did another beta yesterday 13dp5dt and it was at 1831!

We are going in for a scan on Tuesday to see if we can see a sac(s)! My RE, which is also my boss (I work at a reproductive clinic), said I could either have twins or one really, really healthy singleton.

Please send positive vibes! I wanna see at least one sac!

Thanks all.

Thanks Bunnis. This is my first time being pg and am so nervous about the 1st trimester. I am trying to relax because I was told positive thoughts help.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts...I will update soon.
