TESE Success
Hi Ladies!.....and Gents!
I wanted to extend my gratitude to Futuremom and Bigapple77. you guys made me feel so much better!! If anyone else has had success with TESE...please do tell!! Not necessarily a BFP, but even if you've gotten as far as a successful fertilization. I'd love to hear some stories to get my optimistic juices flowing, and I'm sure there are others out there who might need a little encouragement as well. TESE seems so scary...like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Me-Bobbi(26)-no known issues DH(37)-MF(very low everything-almost nothing) ------------------------------------------ 9/12-ER-TESE was successful 9/13 fert report: 21 retrieved, 18 mature, 12 fertilized 9/15 - ET(2 embies- 1 8cell, 1 morula stage) 4 frosties in the freezer  9/22- First response HPT=  test line kinda light (7dp3dt)9/25- First response HPT= test line very dark (10dp3dt)Beta#1- Sept 26th- 225 Beta#2-Sept 29th-644  ultrasound appt- 10/16-- IT'S TWINS!!  Twin A- 120 bpm Twin B- 122 bpm U/S#2 (10/31/08)- all is well, both babies doing great. graduated to OB. First OB appt- 11/18 FRIDAY 11/21--MY BDAY!!! sharing it with the two best bday gifts in the world!

Hi! We just went through IVF with ICSI and TESE. My DH had 0 counts on his SAs. On the day of ER, they did the TESE part first, then did my ER. DH's doctor came and talked to me after the TESE. The doctor was a little surprised because they didn't find a lot of sperm. Luckily they did find enough for what we needed. Of the 20 eggs they retrieved, 18 were mature and 13 fertilized! So, we had a very successful experience, and now I'm almost 8 weeks pregnant! Feel free to PM me with any questions!

Well, we had TESE done and out of my 12 eggs, 11 fertilised. We put back in 3 and all 3 took!!!
So there is hope

Ritu Me-34 (Slight PCOS) DH-36 (Azoospermia-CBAVD) TTC- Since June 2006 DH had MESA/TESE end of Nov 2007, found millions of sperm! IVF/TESA- March-April 2008 ER-4/11/2008- 12 eggs, 11 fertilised, froze 6 embies ET-4/14/2008- 3 embies with AH (2 - 8cells GradeA, 1 - 7cell GradeB) HPT- 9dp3dt- Negative HPT-11dp3dt- Positive!! Beta#1-4/29/2008- 423 (15dp3dt) BFP!!! Beta#2-5/2/2008- 2155 (18p3dt) First u/s 5/6/08- TRIPLETS!!! Third u/s 5/27/08- Down to TWINS (8 weeks 3 days) Heavy bleeding with clots for 4 days in week 9 and a whole month of spotting! But both the babies are fine!! Heavy bleeding with clots again in week 15 My babies arrived in the 30th week(on 10/21/08) and are on the ventilator in the NICU

TESE worked for us, too! I didn't get pregnant until our 3rd IVF cycle (my meds were adjusted as well). We used frozen sperm for attempts 1 & 2, but had a same-day TESE for cycle 3. We had two frozen embies left over from our cycles which we transferred in September. I miscarried at 8 weeks... In the course of going through the FET, we found out that our insurance would pay for 2 more fresh cycles, so we geared up for IVF #4 in April (including a same-day TESE) and are now pregnant with baby #2!
It can be a long road getting there, but ICSI is such a wonderful technology for male-factor cases.... If the urologist can just find a few sperm, you're good to go! Please feel free to PM me as well if you'd like more info about our protocol/process. Best wishes!

Me: 37, wombtacular DH: 40, spermatically challenged TTC 4 years 2 years on our own 2 years with RE 3 IVFs, 3 TESEs, 1 FET, 1 m/c, and a DD that made it all worth it! IVF #4: IVF/ICSI/TESE 8/5 -- anatomy scan; HB 149; weight 7 oz. We have a healthy tot! And no, we didn't peek at the gender--it's a surprise! 10/7 -- passed glucose screening! / HB 150 / measuring 1 week ahead / now taking daily iron supp. 11/17 -- HB 150s / measuring right on schedule / baby is vertex!

What is TESE? Never heard of it before. Sorry, had to come in and ask.

Me: 33. all tests normal Hubs: 30, all tests normal "unexplained infertility" TTC: 4 years IVF#1 8/18/08 Start Lupron - 10 units (so far so good!) 8/27/08  arrived8/29/08 - baseline u/s and bloodwork scheduled Estrogen is high at 85. Told to continue lupron and go back on 9/3 for 2nd baseline. 9/3/08- Estrogen higher at 96. Told to continue same protocol and come back 9/8/08 for 3rd baseline. grr 9/8/08 Estrogen still higher at 110. RE beginning menopur anyway. 225 IU am and pm. Luron continuing at 10 units a day. 9/11/08- ovaries and follicles looking good. Estrogen 283 - progesterone 1.1 - LH 0.8 9/13/08- 7 follies between 10-14mm. Estrogen 763 - Prog - 1.0 - LH 0.7 9/16/08 - Trigger tonight! ER 9/18/08 5 eggs retreived 9/19/08- 4 made it to the 2PN stage 9/20/08 - 2 are 4 cell and 2 are 5 cell - keep growing!! 9/21/08 - ET 2 embabies at 8 cells. None made it to freeze Follow up us & bw - 9/27 Beta - 10/5 #36.9 Beta- 10/7 #28 -

My husband has azoospermia and we had to do a TESE with ICSI too. We had 10 eggs retreived and 8 fertilized. I am pregnant with 1 little one now!!! It can definitely happen! Good luck!
