Low Beta BFPs
Hi Ladies!
One of my girlfriends just did her first IVF and her first BETA came back at 18. She is upset as she is also cramping with light spotting. I know there is hope, so I was hoping you ladies could share your storied with me. Thanks so much!

Me: 30 DH: 31 TTC: 2+ years Diagnosis: Unexplained Infertility Nov 05 thru Feb 07 -TTC Naturally Mar 07 - November 07 -Clomid/IUI - BFNs June 07 - Laproscopic surgery - Stage 2 Endo Nov 07 - Follistim IUI - BFN Dec 07 - Month off IVF for 2008 BCP - Started 12/28 - 1/20/08 SAwAA - Great Count, low morphology and volume. If SA looks like this day of Retrieval, RE will do ICSI. Lupron - Start 1/16/08 Follistim - Start 1/25/08 First U/S - 27 follies ranging from 4.5 to 8 E2 at 300 Second U/S -averaging the same size (7 - 13) E2 at 1200 Third U/S - Results R: 21, 19.5, 19, 2 @18, 2 @17, 4 @16, 2 @15, and a few between 13 and 14 L: 21, 19, 18.5, 17, 16, and 2 @15 E2: 3253 Endo: 11 HCG -2/4/08 @9:15pm ER - 2/6/08 @9am; Retrieved 41 eggs, 37 fertilized ET - 2/11/08: 1 Blast HPT - 2/19/08 BFP Beta #1 - 2/20/08  96Beta #2 - 2/27/08 3,136 Beta #3 - 3/5/08 15,356 US #1 - 3/17 Strong HB at 160 (graduated to OB) 1st OB appt - 3/26

What day post transfer was her beta?

Me (Kelly) - 30, PCOS Hubby - 30, MF TTC since 9/06 IUI #1-3 (7/07 - 9/07) - All BFN IVF #1 (11/07) - 2 fresh 3-day embryos - BFN IVF #2 (12/07) - 3 frozen blasts - BFN (chemical) IVF #3 (3/08) - NEW RE Beta #1 (9dp5dt) - 349Beta #2 (13dp5dt) - 1338 First U/S: IT'S TWINS! 2 strong heartbeats, twins measuring 6w3d Second U/S: 2 strong heartbeats, twins measuring 7w5d Third U/S: 2 strong heartbeats, twins measuring 8w3/4d - Thank God!!! First OB Appt (5/5): Twins doing great. Both babies dancing around. Amazing! Next appt: 5/23

That's still pretty early, I'd say there is definitely reason to hope. Girls on here have had successful pregnancies with numbers that low. We'll cross our fingers that they double!

Yes its still possible
My girlfriend is due this July with her 2nd child.
#1 was w/2nd IVF -low number 1st beta like 23. They said she was a late implanter. Then it started trippling. #2 child (this one) 3rd IVF-FET-1st bet was 7-can you believe it? her 2nd beta was 27. So it sounds like her low number has a 50/50 of either being on the way up or on the way down. Ill say a prayer its on the way up. Good luck!   CC
