depressed because infertile
I have a friend who is depressed because he's infertile. I'm not quite sure what to say to him, and I'd appreciate any suggestions from anyone. He feels his life isn't complete without fathering a child. I'm afraid of just saying the wrong thing...anyone with any suggestions?

depressed becauseinfetile
Did he just find out, that he was infertile? Is he married?
Adoption is wonderful! You don`t have to go through life "childless." Once he excepts the fact that he will never be able to produce children, maybe then, he can look into other alternatives. ![]() |

please help your friend realize fathering a child doesn't only mean biologically.
as we who have seen children end up in foster care from the parents who have fathered them and given birth to them. fathering a child in the biological sense does not automatically make them a good parent. but love and raising a child the way a child deserves is what makes someone have the right to be called a father or mother. is he married? and will his wife be supportive of the idea of foster care or adoption. there are so many children out there who need moms and dads. so many! good luck to your friend......................heide................. . |
