I'm 37 years old, and I've been with the same guy who is now my husband for 10 years, we have had unprotected sex for approximately 9 years and we have never got pregnant. So we decided to get checked out by a fertility clinic, I was told that my cycle just needed to be regulated and we should be able to conceive. So far the first fertility cylce hasn't worked. Does anyone else have a similar problem?

Dear Irhope, I am also 37 y.o. and we have been trying for a very long time now. We've gone to 4 different fertility clinics with no success. And to make matters worse for us... we decided that maybe our calling was not to have biological children of our own, but to adopt... unfortunately we started the process a little over 2 years ago...only to get our hearts broken twice. Sooo close to having our dreams come true finally... and it ended right after the birth... So I am probably not the best person to speak to but I just wanted to say.... I know what your going through but my wish for you is a better outcome....so dont give up!!! |

I think it takes awhile to be regulated. I have heard that sometimes clomid can shorten you luteal phase instead of helping it. I am going to try progesteron and clomid this month to see if it helps.

hi irhope, i have been married 11 years and I am 36- my husband had variocole (dont mind my spelling) and had surgery. We had unprotected sex the whole time so I knew that there was probably some problem..so the last few years they focused on him, surgery, testing etc..finally his sperm count went up..so finally test me
my fsh is extremely high 24 and just found out my mother went through early menopause..dont really know if it is hereditary or not, but our next step is iui (no insurance coverage so options will be limited) and will be starting me on clomid my next cycle- very slim chances for us but I still want to try, they tried talking us into doner eggs or doner sperm but am not ready or dont know if I will ever be for that step, i also have a slightly low underactive thryroid that I hear also can have somewhat of an effect..anyway I am here if you need to talk as I am just starting my journey, i have kind of fell out of the loop with family and friends because i just cant cope these days seeing everyone else with there happy little families, I am not a very good liar and hate to pretend and put on the happy face right now.. so for now I could use all the friends I can get from here..nobody else seems to get it.. anywho hope i didnt babble too long.. my advise... make sure you both get tested it could be a combination of you both |
