Hi everyone. I am looking for a chat buddy. I've been trying to concieve for 3 years now. I've been seeing a reproductive endocronologist for 2 years now with no luck. I was on Clomid and doing IUI's forever. My Husband has a low sperm count as well. I'm starting my injections in a few weeks as soon as I get my next period which is due on the 24th but will probably be late or not come b/c I am not taking the clomid anymore. I am scared about the whole injection thing. I can't afford IVF so this is the way we are going now.

My name is Amanda and I am going through excatly what you are right now. I will be starting my injections in Nov. I'm scared. My doctor told me that I have a 50/50 chance. She said that it usually takes the first time (if its going to).
She said that we will try it for 3 months. Where are you going to get your meds from?? I emailed you as well. Please email back it's great to finally have someone who is going through the same thing as I that I can talk to. Amanda

Hi Kara. I tried to respond to you once before, but lost it. I am 37 and have been remarried a year and 2 months. My husband and I have been trying to get prenant ever since the wedding. He doesn't have any children. I have a 10 yr. old daughter who was an IUI baby. I knew that most likely I would have to go through it all again and being older would be harder. I have been on chlomid for 3 months and done one IUI. It was not successful. The doc has given me the month off of chlomid because I currently have a cyst. He tells me I should be able to try again next month. Meanwhile, the emotions of it all are heartbreaking. I would love to chat with you. I will try your email as well.

I've been going through infertility for 3.5 years. DH and I have been trying to conceive since Dec 2000. We've done three IUI's that have all failed. We are dealing with male factor infertility and it's emotionally trying for us. We decided to take a year off of fertility treatments and hoped to conceive naturally but no luck. We are just starting to get back into the swing of things and I have an appt this Friday with my doctor to determine the best RE for me to see this second time around. I too have been going through Infertility issues but money is what is preventing us from going any further. We have been trying for 6 years, but recently found out a year ago the truth behind our infertility problems. At first we were not trying "hard" but had stopped with birth control. Them within the past two years we really had been trying hard. That is when we found out that I had one blocked tube, and he had zero sperm count. What a punch in the stomach.
We know that we cannot have a baby without IVF w/ICSI and that is where we are. We know what we have to do, but funding it is the problem. Our insurance will not cover it. So here I am. I would love to be email buddies with anyone as well. Please email me at kuddleygal@aol.com

I have secondary infertility. We have been trying to concieve for 2.5 years. I've been on 6 rounds of clomid and had to take BCP for 3 months to help with hormone levels. Now I'm on prometrium to start AF which I haven't had since 6/22. Our insurance doesn't pay for infertility, so I have been selective on the treatments I have had so far.

Would there be a big difference in taking 100mg and 150mg of Clomid? I was thinking of taking some I had left from my last prescription with my new prescription if it might increase my chances. Any thoughts????

I can't talk to my husband cuz he truly does not understand since he has 2 kids from other relationships. We have been tryin since we met almost 2 years ago. I too have secondary infertility and I know exactly what you are going through. I feel hopeless someday! Don't get me wrong, I love my son to death but feel so guilty that I cannot give him a sibling. I have been ttc for 2 years and had a m/c in September 2005. I feel so frustrated too since I know that I can get pregnant but not sure why I can carry one baby and not the other. Please send a reply if you would like to chat! Hello Kara! Well I am not quiet as far into this as you. I have tried for about 5 yrs but have only been going to the specialist for about 5 months. Its hard because sometimes you just want someone to talk to who just understands, and someone not physically going through this I dont feel truely understands the way I am looking for. I went today for an ultrasound hoping to have some mature eggs,nothing. My doctor is still optimistic but I am running out of hope. Clomids just not working. They want to do the surgery, which I am scared about, I know its not horrible but still,its scary. So hopefully something will happen. I really wish you the best of luck with the injections.
