to the club. I hope your stay here is short and sweet. Geez, I'm trying to remember what the charting guidelines are ... It has been over 2 yrs since I've charted. Are you using a basal thermometer? Are you taking your temp everyday at the same time? Around ovulation there is going to be a slight increase in your body tempurature. Recording each day's body temperature - and charting the patterns of temperature change - will help pinpoint when when ovulation has occurred. Here is a little blurp I found online, hope it helps some: During the first two weeks of a woman's cycle, her body temperature is lower (97.0 to 97.5 F), due to the presence of estrogen. With ovulation, a rise in body temperature takes place - caused by an increase of the hormone progesterone - in order to provide a warmer, more fertile environment in the womb. A minimum temperature rise of 0.4 to 0.6 degrees F can be measured - and this change will last through the duration of the menstrual cycle. By monitoring when this temperature change takes place, you can estimate when ovulation has taken place. Since it has been about 2 yrs that you have been TTC, are you seeing an RE about your PCOS? You are sure that your only issue is PCOS? Just wanted to make sure that you have pinpointed your IF. Have you and DH talked about maybe doing IUI? Just some suggestions. This is for sure the right place to be, let us know all your questions and thoughts, the folks on this forum are womderful ... someone will have something to add to your questions or thoughts. Best of luck in 2007! Hugs!

I am so lost to these abbs? What does DH stand for and IUI stand for. I had a lap don and there is no blockage nor endo. I have cyst on my ovaries. Dr said there should be no other reason why I can't concieve with taking the Metformin. He is very adament on putting me on clomid. I want to know all the terminology that you all are using. I started charting yesterday and my bbt was 97.7 and it was the same thing this morning 97.7. Is it supposed to be that high? I have no idea how to determine my cm either. It all seems the same to me. I also have another question. I wiped and there was blood (light light) but no AF. Did the BD this morning had lightish brown like maybe a cream color on tissue, but still no AF. I have been having all the symptoms of being pregnant, but when I took the test it was neg. Might have been to early; I don't have no idea how to do any of this. I read where it is best to give yourself a window for ovulation especially if you don't know. I was told that it should be 8-16 days from the first day of your cycle. Is that true? I was told that sperm lives up to 5 days. How do I know when the time is right. I read that 3 days after your cycle has stopped that that is a good nesting time for sperm to live up to the full days. I am so confused!!!! HELP

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Glad you found the forum. Charting to me was a little difficult, but my RE told me to take my temperature first thing in the morning, when I am on my AF, and when talking clomid, and after clomid for 2 weeks, and when your temp. risings too 100, or 99, its possible that your ovulating, also watch for signs, like a little pain in that area where your ovaries are, cramping, but all signs are different for each woman. I would get a fertility monitor, if not get a clear blue easy test, and it will show a if you are ovulating or a if your not. Good luck glad your here.![]()
