Newbie in Connecticut:)

Dear All-
I just want to introduce myself. My name is Netty and my husband and I live in Connecticut with our two fur kids, Loui and Che. Che is the little fella in my avatar .
There is a myriad of information that I will be reading from this forum in the next few days since I will be homebound for the next two weeks. 18 months ago, the hubby and I decided to start a family. It didn't happen as quick as we thought so six months ago, we went to a fertility specialist and after many tests done on us, this is how our journey has started. My husband and I are perfectly fine and healthy. I went through several ultrasounds, bloodwork, HSG and biopsy. From the ultrasounds, they found three myommas in my uterus that were not cancerous.
In January 06, we started with two cycles of IUI, which both of them failed. Our specialist suggested that by having a laparoctomy and myomectomy, our chances to become pregnant may increase. So, this past Tuesday, (4/17), I had the procedures done and I am home now, nursing an almost 8 cm incision. They found 4 fibroids and two of them were a pretty good size (4 cm and 3 cm). Our next step is to wait six more weeks to move forward with the next plan, which I believe, it is the injections. We are pretty close to the IVF procedure.
Sorry for being so long in my introduction, I guess, I just got too excited to know that I am not the only gal here who is having a little bit of trouble in conceiving.
Wish us luck!

Welcome Che Girl and hello Lidaam! I'm also in CT.

I'm wondering what clinic you each go to? I'm at Park Ave. fertility in Trumbull, but I have an appt. to check out the clinic in Norwalk.

Hi Chris,
I live in Stamford (15 min from Norwalk). I don’t got to a clinic, but I really like my doctor F. Ginsburg. She is amazing! When I first was looking for a doctor- I was told she is one of the best. Her office is in StamfordHospital, but she will be performing my IVF in New England Fertility Institute New England Fertility Institute - "Life Begins Here . . ."
