IVF Success - How long did it take?
I am interested in hearing from those who haved succeeded in getting pregnant with IVF. How long did it take? How many cycles did you have to go through before you got pregnant? Were there any complications?

I did one cycle of IVF with Lupron and Gonal F. We got 5 embies from ICSI and I transferred three of them. I miscarried one embie and got pg with the twins. One time was the charm for me. I was so lucky!
I had complications in my pg, but not with the IVF.

Preg test question
I am going thru IVF.. had transfer on 5/23 and go for BT 6/6... HPT showed negative (6x!).. is there a chance I can still be preggers???

Hi Deanna,
I did one cycle of IVF with Lupron and Gonal F too. We got 3 embies from ICSI and I transferred three of them. One time was also the charm for me. Everyone is different though. I know someone who was on their 7th IVF. Hang in there. I bet you will be one of the lucky ones. Good luck!!!

Hi there! I was one of the lucky ones too. First time for me! You can see my protocal on my signature below. No complications at all with the IVF. The meds made me emotional, but nothing I couldnt get through.. Good Luck! Try searching through some of the old threads for more answers. My group was on April Cycle Buddies. I read February so I could gear up for what to expect! It really helped alot! Let me know if you have any questions, and good luck!

Hi there,
I was also successful with just one round of IVF. I was on ganirelix,follistim, and repronex. The RE was only able to retreive 6 eggs and 4 were fertilized through ICSI. I had 2 transferred and now I have a beautiful one year old daughter! We were able to freeze one blastocyst and I am about to go through FET in August. Good luck with everything, I know it is very hard emotionally and physically.

You can include me in the first-time group. I did one cycle with follistim and ganirelix. They retrieved 29 eggs, 10 of those fertilized, 2 were transferred, and 2 were frozen.

I'm not completely out of the woods yet, but I got my BFP on my first try. I did Lupron, Follistim, and Gonadatropin.

11/06 found out my tubes were blocked  2/07 had my tubes removed 11/6/07 follicle count great! 10 & 12 11/14/07 trial xfer smooth lining! 11/22/07 start shots 12/7/07 starting to hyperstimulate, cutting back on the shots 12/13/07 ER day!! -- 20 eggs retrieved! 12/14/07 12 mature eggs, only 5 fertilized 12/16/07 2 of the eggs didn't make it 12/18/07 ET day 1) BBB 2)DBB None frozen12/27/07 , beta 426!12/31/07 beta 1,633 TWINS!  1/7/08 first u/s both babies look great -good size and good placement 1/21/08 Baby A's HB 154 Baby B's HB 147 3/13/08 Baby A = boy! Baby B = girl! 4/11/08 Admitted into hospital-preterm labor 4/12/08 Cerclage placed 4/13/08 Abruption detected 4/15/08 Dr's want to terminate pregnancy 5/16/08 Received steroid shot - still in hospital 7/7/08 YAY!
