Nesee--congrats on the
on your own. You rock girl!Maggie--If I may ask. I notice your 1st. beta number was rather high (1800s). Do you remember what day after you missed your period that you tested? As you can see on my sigi--my first beta was high too (859). I won't have my first U/S until 8/6/07. I'm dying to find out if I have one or two little peanuts in there. Could you shed some light? Much appreciated. Kim

AFP test neg. Yea! 11/2 @ 19w. Felt baby moved for the first time. 11/12 @20w. It's a BOY!!! EDD: 3/28/08 Dylan Michael arrived on 3/2708; 8lbs and 21 inches!   BABY#2 Day 35: hpt+ First OB appt: 11/14/08 at 8 weeks.

Well we had our first us and i was a little diasppointed. The us tech did not take any time with us and before we knew it the whole thing was over. She gave us two pics and we heard the hb it was 164 bpm. She just acted like she was in a hurry and did not take any time.

She told me that i was measuring 9w 1day and that the edd would b on march 19 but my doc left it at march 13 is the number at the top of my us pic the length of the fetus. It is 5.4 so i am assuming that it is the length,

I was not happy with my first u/s appt either...she even got the due date wrong by 1 month! I switched doctors and couldn't be happier now!!

Gina Me-36 (poor egg quality) DH- 35 (perfect!) TTC 3+ years 3 IUI attempts, 3 IVF attempts 3rd IVF cycle: 4/5 egg retrieval- 19 retrieved, 7 fertilized 4/8 embryo transfer- 2 transferred (both grade 1) 4/23 1st beta but numbers were only 155/4 4th beta- finally back to negative Next IVF cycle- July/August  Natural cycle- HPT 1st Beta- 6/5 1302nd Beta- 6/7 320 3rd Beta- 6/13 4000! 1st U/S- 6/22 saw the heartbeat! 140 bpm, measuring 6 weeks, 2 days 1st OB- 7/18 saw the heartbeat and baby moving all around! measuring 10 weeks, right on track EDD- 2/13/08 It's a GIRL! Emily Michele was born on 1/27/08!

Sorry to hear that you u/s tech wasn't too pleasant. I hate when they act like they would rather be somewhere else than showing you your baby! I had had an unpleasant experience with a tech like that too. Hopefully your next one will be better.
Kim- Sorry I didn't get back with you. I just now noticed your post to me...sorry!!!! I realized that my period was late about 5 days after it was due. Dh and I had a lot going on that month. We had family in from out of town due to my aunts passing. And also we were gearing up to do injectables the next cycle...had had schedules made out for meds and everything. Then I realized that I was late but thought it was just a fluke since I had been late before and I didn't want to read into it. So I decided to test and it popped up positive. I had a blood test a day later and it was already in the 1800's. So needeless to say I was only about 6 days late when I took my first beta. I was really nervous about multipules but only had one baby in there. He turned out to be healthy little boy and was a month early. After delivery my OB wondered if my RE had my dates wrong but the baby never measured larger than he should have...it's weird! Good luck to you!!!
