I had my 1 hour test and it was high so today i had to go back for the 3 hour test. With it being the holidays i probably wont find out anything till the end of next week. Any suggestions on how to try to control it.

I had gestational diabetes when I was pg with my daughter... I didn't have high enough levels to be taking insulin but I was told to limit the carbs and sugars for the day... Just kind of have snacks between meals that are natural fruits and avoid a lot of breads and pasta's. I had my 1 hr a few weeks ago but that came back fine... I have to take the 3 hr on the 31st, i was asked to follow a diet for 3 days prior to the test and then start fasting the last day after dinner. Good luck

Depending on the levels most gestational diabetics can be monitored with a special diet. I'm sure that you'll be able to find information about this online. I haven't done much research yet because I haven't gone in for my glucose test yet. But I do know a few people who have followed this diet even without being diagnosed and enjoyed it. Best of luck.

I see that you are having a girl - congratulations. Do you have a name picked out yet? Funny to see that you were guessing a boy based on the bpm. I was guessing a girl for myself because my baby has a bpm of 160-180 every time but he's just an active and healthy baby boy.

Thanks Jen we have picked out the name Carley Nadine Boleware. We are going to call her carley jo
now her bpm is 150 or so. i go back now every two weeks. The doctor said that she is measuring a week later. I have a feeling she is goin to be a big girl.
