Good morning all my thread sisters,

At church yesterday my preacher talked about the 23rd Psalm. He talked about how David did not mean it to be about death, but about life. At the time it was written sheep had very little to eat or drink and they would have to graze all day long in order to find enough food and water, so that they had no time to rest. When the Psalm was written David was pointing out that God is our shepard and will lead us to a great place where we will have everything we need (green pastures, still waters). And that in order for the sheep to get to such a great place they would have to cross through a great valley of darkness. Sheep would never choose to cross through the valley themselves, but since they trust their shepard with all of their hearts they allow him to lead them through the valley of darkness to the great pastures on the other side.

What I got from it is that as a child of God I need to trust in Him to lead me through the darkest of times so that I may find what I pray for on the other side.

I ask only for prayers of peace and acceptance through my journey to motherhood.

Barbara ~ I don't know where to post this question, perhaps I should PM you, but Rose (the mother of the baby that passed that we talked about) is coming tonight for dinner ~ Is it going to be hard for her to see Avery and is there anything I can to do make it easier for her?

Please pray that Rose doesn't find it hard to see my baby Avery, and that she finds peace in knowledge that God has her little angel. (Carlie Rose).

Thank you all for this thread and I know God will love it too. I pray that we all get the desires of our hearts. I pray that we all have succuessful procedures and are blessed with a happy healthy baby that we can "raise in the way he should go" for the Lords good.

Since I am to be specific, LOL.....I pray that our IUI this week brings us a healthy baby or 2.

Good Afternoon Girlies,

I just wanted to share a little something I experienced yesterday. I was eating lunch at PF Changs with a friend and I was telling her about my mother in laws rude comments about having a baby (long story). Anyhoo, at the end of the meal we get our fortune cookie of course. And mind you I never even read those stupid things, but I did this time and it said "A SMALL GIFT CAN BRING JOY TO THE WHOLE FAMILY"

My friend and I just looked at each other in aw!

Then last night while I was laying in bed and praying and as soon as I said the last word, my cell phone started ringing (it was 11pm at night, no one ever calls me at that hour, they know I go to bed early) so i got out of the bed and as soon as I picked the phone up it stopped ring and it was from an UNKNOWN NUMBER. I just feel like it was a sign as I never get unknown number calls much less at 11 o clock at night.

Oh, I hope this is a sign. Girls keep up the praying, it gives me chills to hear your stories regarding your outlook on life and God. HE is wonderful and our dreams of becoming a mother to a healthy baby will come true.

I have been reading posts on here for some time and decided to join b/c I feel this forum is more positive than a lot of others I have read. We are starting our first IUI this month, first appt. is Wed. not sure what to expect, excited, nervous all those emotions I'm sure you can all relate to. I'm looking forward to offering support and being supported during this journey we are all on. I will pray for you all and please pray that we can beat the odds and get a the first time!

I've been gone from the boards for quite a few months. I needed to take some time to lick my wounds and get myself back together. In September i'm resuming IVF.

I'm asking all of you for your prayers. Prayers for prosperity and most of all a baby that my husband and I can LOVE and raise. i need this in my life!

I will never give up hope b/c that's all there is when you find your back against a wall. I'm grateful to God because he has blessed my husband and I tremendously. No matter what...I try not to get down or angry because I know God is an awesome God and he will never leave or forsake me.

So ladies, prayers work in numbers. I will pray for you and I need all your prayers.

I haven't had time yet to get through all these posts but wanted to say this is an awesome idea. Beginning June 3, 2007 after my anointing ceremony at church I've been praying through 1 Samuel 1:11 - "Oh Lord Almighty, if you will only look upon your servant's misery and not forget your servant but bless her with a child, then I will give that child to the Lord for all the days of his or her life." Of course 1 Samuel 1:11 is Hannah's prayer for Samuel and she does specifically ask for a son. So I changed the words just slightly. But it was my daily prayer and the verse I meditated upon.
Our service Sunday was entitled "Called by God" and it was from some missonary appointees to India - actually our pastor's daughter and her son. What struck me most about the sermon was that we shouldn't be afraid of what God calls us to. Goes back to "if God can bring you to it He can bring you through it." That when you are called of God, He's right there next to you. He's can hold your hand and walk you through. Then he spoke a sentence that had me in tears....he said "to those parents of small children, children you are raising for God - if He calls them - you have to surrender them to Him and let them go. Don't fight it, don't hold them back, don't be afraid." Oh I started tearing up immediately! So powerful!
